Buzzcocks have such a diverse sound from one song to the next it is usually very unique in it's own style. Other bands dont have that. Though this might be an insult to some, This song has a slight "Cheap Trick" or "Supertramp" to it. While a song like "Boredom" is pure punk. at least the first release does.

i didnt know this song until i watched the pearl jam dvd, live at the garden 2003. during "wishlist" they played this song too and i loved it, really fell in love with it.. but then i found out this was the original version and frankly i was kinda disappointed :S

Its been over 20 years since I first saw the Party Animal and then went out and bought the Buzzcocks "singles going steady" great album...around 2003 went to see them live in Chapel Hill...Cat's Cradle I think was the place...nonetheless, awesome show...with what seemed the original band.

it's a huge show, and this song was used in there ending credits. There are facebook groups DEVOTED to just the ending music of entourage. It's also got extremely high ratings. check it out, new episodes every sunday at 10:30, but you really need to get the first 5 seasons on DVD, it's a really complex and deep show. it's very entertaining, and very funny.

believe it or not, this skater circa 1985 never listened to these guys. However, at Max Fish they have there singles album on the jukebok and I heard this song for the first time one week ago. Of course it blew me away. I went in last night and put it on. It's really , really , really, really, good. The way it winds out in the end is amazing because there is nothing superfluous about it.
