What the OCV does is redirect oil flow to the cam gear to either advance or retard the timing. When you pull the plug the energizing of the OCV plunger stops and oil pressure that would normally be used to engage the lockpin at idle drops.
If pulling the plug doesn't at least change the noise then it may be coming from another place.

Nope, hahaha, that's the noise that the camgear makes. Camara mic actually amplifies the noise level much more than it really is.

i have the same or similar noise but when i pull off the plug for the OCV the noise continues.
what exactly does removing the OCV plug do? stop the flow of oil to the cam gear?
