In all honesty, this video seems to fuel what the TV does in a different way. I think generally people don't value knowledge and education in the US. I don't know how different a youtube video is different from a TV program. It has valid points, no argument there, but don't transfer from tv to internet either. The best way to really learn what's going on is reading books by valid people and discuss them with authority figures and people you know. This does little in an isolated room.
I'm 16 and I stopped watching Tv a while back. I do however enjoy certain shows such as Dexter and Bones and I watch plenty of movies for the characters and plotlines. I choose what i watch. However other teenagers are watching Jersey Shore. I never understood how someone could be so possessed by something they watch. I used to watch a British show about teenagers who have sex 24/7 and do drugs, I do neither nor have the desire to.
Im in college and nothing is different. Every1 glued to the tv wasting their lives, watchin MTV and ESPN. stay smart kid. avoid fluoride and vaccines. they dumb us down.

In all honesty, this video seems to fuel what the TV does in a different way. I think generally people don't value knowledge and education in the US. I don't know how different a youtube video is different from a TV program. It has valid points, no argument there, but don't transfer from tv to internet either. The best way to really learn what's going on is reading books by valid people and discuss them with authority figures and people you know. This does little in an isolated room.

I'm 16 and I stopped watching Tv a while back. I do however enjoy certain shows such as Dexter and Bones and I watch plenty of movies for the characters and plotlines. I choose what i watch. However other teenagers are watching Jersey Shore. I never understood how someone could be so possessed by something they watch. I used to watch a British show about teenagers who have sex 24/7 and do drugs, I do neither nor have the desire to.

Well done piece, yet ... 90% of our TV media is dominated by the Fascist-Left Socialists. (Fascism isn't confined to typical views of Right or Left on the political spectrum. ) Fascism is corrupt cooperation of government and corporations expanding their power at the expense of free-markets and private enterprise. Why the focus on Fox News, and not on CBS or CNN, or MSNBC?

Was their a partisan political bias in this video rant? Yes, IMO. There is a subte slant against the so-called Right.. Notice the well-deserved slap at state-controlled education (dominated by Democrats and Left-wing teacher unions), and yet, there is no slap at the Leftist media-- ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, the NY Times, Wash Post and NPR (radio)-- just the moderate, soft corporate-fascist Fox News channel. Right?

Actually, re: "you get what you pay for", it could be argued, and I will argue, that the reason government does not pay for better public education is that the republicans want to defund it, not because government is a monolithic entity that wants to raise uneducated sheep. The 'govt as shepherd' hypothesis may be true, but the funding argument is easily countered and is therefore not strong. See Robert Anton Wilson's concept of "fungibility" re: conspiracies.
