I always felt so sorry for Sassy when she went over the waterfall. Even though Shadow warned her that it's not a good idea to risk going across the rough waters, I still feel sorry for her. She's a cat and most cats hate getting wet. But it would have been best for her to take Shadow's advice. Sassy may have eventually learned the hard way. But learning the hard way almost killed her.

@alphamone It's a toy cat wrapped up in carpet they used for the shot over the waterfall. It was done all in one take.

3:56, 4:09, 4:22, 4:50, 4:58 - where used a jaccuzzi for these shots. The real Sassy was dropped into the water. She can only swim for one minute at a time, quickly dried, and prepare for the next take. All other shots of Sassy were used a mechanical cat.

This took three weeks to shoot this scene.

Shadow was chasing after the fake cat before it goes over the waterfall.

I think they filmed the closeups of sassy in a place where it was calmer, and I would also guess they filmed in short spurts. I would assume a model of a cat was used for the shots of sassy actually in the rapids, like at 4:17 .
