does someone have advice for a normal AVR programming cable. LPT port to ATMEGA8-16PU. I just want the correct pinouts for the lpt ports, so manhy sites have so many different diagrams. I want a normal damn cable :-(

You could always buy the attiny2313-20pu if you need the extra speed. They are what I use and they are fast. Still not bad though.
