  • Wouldent it be easier to just use an Ethernet cable

  • I hate emulators

  • @ZavenNes1718 why?

  • could u make something for super nintindo, or whatever its called

  • Thank GOD somebody who says solder

    So-lder not soder so-der

  • a dictionary, disagrees with you.

  • @mrdtmeek a US dictionary may disagree with solidsnake136, but many others wouldn't :-)

  • Now...

How do yo do that for an Xbox???

  • can i get the usb thing fro a usb mouse

  • BASE WARS! one of the few 3rd party games for the NES with a battery save

  • I have a project for you. A while back I saw a SNES Controller converted to USB and it had a built in flash drive for storage for the roms and emulator etc. Is this something you could easily do? I've seen people using usb hubs, flash drives and stuff from radio shack but i'd like to see it done with the kit from retrogamers. possible?

  • Purists dont play nes on computers. Consoles FTW and the 80's!

  • @deegz01

Sadly, some of us don't really have the money to get most consoles and games, especially rare ones.

  • Or, you can just buy a NES to USB converter like I did for $10 on eBay... Fail.

  • how hard would it be to be able to load emulators and roms onto it that way every computer you go to you have your games and a nifty controller to play them with?would a flash drive fit?

  • how did you get the game to play on a PC does this work with windows 7

  • @dodiddone89 My PC has XP and it works great it should work with 7. You have to download an emulator from a trusted source and then get the roms for the emulator. Imagine the Emulator is an NES and the Roms are your games. Just place your roms in your roms folder on emulator, open the file and BOOM NES games on your PC.From the emulator options choose controls and then just hit the buttons you want to program your controller to the respective buttons on the screen.

  • how did you get the game to play on a PC

  • Nice fail emulator, doesn't even cover the screen..

  • Now connect a flash drive or memory card in the controller so anywhere you go you have the files and your favorite games all ready to go! :D (if possible that is)

  • @omnimon64 Totally possible, pull apart a small usb hub; wire one part of the hub to a small flash drive, connect the other part to this board shown in the video and you are done :)

  • @omnimon64 the cloud on xbox

  • FUCKING BASE WARS! YES!

  • can you do this with out the usb board?

  • whera can i find a the usb board and the cable instead of the of buying it online

  • Where can I find a USB BOARD? in which equipment? also one of the USB hub right?

  • I love YouTube comments. They're so fun and educational. For instance: I learned that, as an American, I'm lazy because I pronounce a word the way I was taught. What a weird generalization to make.

I'm not going to argue that the way I speak is right or wrong, but I'm certainly not lazy for saying a word the way I've always heard it pronounced.

  • lol. the link says "premade one for noobs at:"

  • Hacking an epic NES Controller... NOOOO!

  • I can use this.

  • can you play MUGEN with that controller?

  • @mortalkombat991 yep but u can use only 4 buttons for attacks lolz or use the start and select if u want but thats gonna be hard as shit

  • @mortalkombat991 your going to need more then 2 buttons. :p

  • @shadowthingey I got mad when you spelled "pronounced" wrong.

  • soLder soLder soLder soLder soLder

  • Stupid yanks, the l is there for a reason. Lazy fucks.

  • @deathaxe yeah the L is there for a reason, like in walk and chalk right? they might be lazy but you don't seem to know your own language... or at least you suck at generalizing lol

  • @VirtusBerMors you don't seem to know about languages. Walk and chalk have a silent L. Solder doesn't have a silent L. And why is it generalising? the whole American language is made up of lazy misspellings.

  • @deathaxe actually, we seem to be arguing over nothing, both pronunciations are seemingly correct. Check out wordreference and you will see it shows both pronunciations as possible... and btw, just saying, don't mean to start a fight or anything, but I think, you write it "generalizing" not with s. I mean he was generalizing because we tend to think all things in a language obey they same exact rules, but we all have learned (or learnt) that there are exceptions.

  • it's pernounced sodder not solder

  • He sounds like Corey Feldman.

  • why break a perfect nes controller...i would have used that!

  • does this work with an n64?

  • 353 people missed up trying to hack the nes controller and got mad and dislike this

  • This mystical Solder strikes again. I've got to get some of that shit, sounds cool.

  • and of course more fun, he said really enthousiastic...

  • TURN THE LIGHTS ON! JEEZUS!

  • not to bother but the L is silent in solder

  • y don't u buy the adapter

  • Pretty cool hack...but you really need to learn to pronounce the world solder.

    It's "SAW-der"

  • @Howold12345

They sell pc/Mac 360 controllers at Walmart and bestbuy

    I think

  • you suck no one would see your video game reviews anyway

  • WHO CARES

  • @jukodebu We care...

  • its pronounced with no L, smartty

  • you need to stop converting game controllers and start converting your sexuality

  • as simple as killing a tiger with bare hands!

  • omg its just a word soulder sawder so what

  • its "saw-der" not "soul-der"

  • @jjb3point14159265358 Only if your a fag. For everyone else it is soul-der

  • does it work on linux? and can you use a ps2 controller

  • can any other cONtrollers be hacked shy cas...

  • show the lighter hack!

  • kipkay should make a vid like this

  • Bleh Piracy sucks.

Don't count backup as NES games are not on floppys as legal backups are only apply on floppies due to how easily they fail & HDD, not solid state.

  • @KristyIsKhuuL i found 2 in my garage

  • I just looked up "pronunciation of solder", on google, and the first thing that popped up was languagehat's discussion on the many correct pronunciations of solder. Apparently, different regions have different ways of saying certain words.

  • One of my first jobs was in an electronics repair shop, and I can say with all confidence that pronunciation of solder is a regional thing. My immediate boss, the speaker/crossover specialist was from Minnesota, and pronounced it soul-der. One of the keyboard specialists was from . . . Oregon, I think. He pronounced it more like saul-der. I had learned it in Maryland as Saw-der. No one corrected anyone in the shop.

  • I've always pronounced it "soul-der" :\

  • @RB2JZ not Sodder ?

  • Hy would you know which wires tosolder with the nes advantage controller???

it says on the website that it works with it so i bought it but they never got back to me via email .... Help Please!!!!

  • Dude how do you know this stuff they dont teach you that in college or universities

  • it's pronounced sauter. L is silent.

  • does he not realize the L is silent in solder

  • @unpurelife not if you speak proper English

  • @SuperJoe1337 Just because it's a dialect you don't speak doesn't mean it's "improper". No dialect is "improper" by nature.

  • @unpurelife pretty sure it isn't bro...

  • @unpurelife Where are you based ? I am in the UK and have been in the industry, steam radio through to electronics, some 50+ years and the L is always in solder. Your version could be Sodher, Ah Well !

  • @unpurelife Wikipedia lists ˈsɒldə(r) as an IPA pronunciation.

  • @unpurelife

Solder comes from the Latin solidare, meaning "to make solid"

Unless you pronounce solid as soid i think you're making a mistake.

    Also...You must be American....

  • @skylinesoldat this comment deserves a thumbs up haha

  • @unpurelife Do you not realize that there are other countries that say it without the silent L and he just might like to say it like that.

Not ALL people say it the same as you.

  • @aZombieOnYourLawn HOLY SHIT NO WAY!!! Here i was thinking everyone was the same as me now I am going to go sit in my room and ponder this...it might take years to comprehend

  • @unpurelife GTFO And get a life you loser.

    Got nothing better to do?

  • @aZombieOnYourLawn Nope nothing better to do... i do not have college classes today and homework is complete...i have nothing better to do then respond to people who have been constantly posting replies to this comment and come to you do you not have anything better to do then post replies to people?

  • @unpurelife Nah done everything today and finished up.

Came back to youtube to see what some low-life loners have posted as a reply to my comment.

  • @unpurelife No, no its not. Only lazy americans say sodder. But thats not how its pronounced. Its SOLDER not sodder.

  • @yippe Ooo lazy american's..wow dont you think stereotypes are fun? Like how the British have jacked up teeth? Or how French women never shave? Damn love when people judge all on the actions or looks of a few. O and btw all my professors but be these lazy american's because they also do not pronounce the L in solder. When I wrote this comment i never heard somebody pronounce the L in it. I have now found out that it is correct to pronounce it both ways can people please stop commenting on it.

  • @unpurelife No, no its not correct both ways. You see the english language (which, is thae basis of what we both speak, it is spelt and pronounced "solder". But along with alot of other words, americans decided they would change it. Its ENGLISH, not americanish. And i hate to tell you, but stereo types usually come from general observations. There for are in general, the reality.

  • @yippe

This is from dictionary. com on the pronunciation of "solder":

    [sod-er] /ˈsɒdər/

    Merriam-Webster:

    \ˈsä-dər, ˈsȯ-, British also ˈsäl-dər, ˈsōl-\

    Oxford U.S. English dictionary:

    /ˈsädər/

In U.S. English, "solder" is not pronounced the way it's spelt. Saying "its not correct both ways", besides incorrectly using the word "its", is like saying that "color" is an incorrect spelling. Just because you speak a certain dialect doesn't mean we're wrong to use different (American) dialects.

  • @yippe The main difference between British and American accents is Rhotism. British accents became non-rhotic after the American revolution. You can look it up on your own, but it's a pretty substantial change. So it seems that British pronunciations are "non-traditional" as well. I won't go so far to say either is incorrect, as you have, just that both dialects are evolving, as all do.

  • @yippe i think one of the biggest problems is that English language in general does not have a "point of reference" if you check on an Oxford dictionary it is not properly the big reference but just ONE of the references... compare that with the figure of the "Real academia de la lengua española" which does represent a big milestone in terms of Spanish guidance.

  • @yippe You, sir, are wrong. The key word here is "dialect". In most dialects, the "L" in "solder" is pronounced, but this isn't the case for American dialects.

  • @unpurelife i england and some places in the states the L is pronounced!

  • @unpurelife yeah what an idiot! he should know his computer vocabulary! more like shut the fuck up you still live with your mom

  • @unpurelife the silent L is the american pronunciation. some americans pronounce it with the L, as does the rest of the world.

  • @unpurelife its not in england us brits use the l dunno why though :s

  • @unpurelife No its not! Its SOLLLLLDER!

  • @unpurelife

stfu herp-a-derp american its pronounced SOL-DER

  • @unpurelife Stop slaughtering the English language and start using the L..

  • @02cfranklin English, like every language on the planet, has multiple dialects. For your information, in some dialects, like the one I speak, the "L" in "solder" is not pronounced. I also don't spell "color" as "colour".

  • @unpurelife No it's not.

  • can i use my ps3 carger cord ?

  • @mafkeesos you can use your ps3 controller. not as fun as the nes controller but hey it works

  • you did not actually say HOW to make it ... you just showed that it is possible ... FUCKRRRRRRRRRRR :P

  • buy premade =no fun alot more money

make it yourself= fun less money by far garage sales sell them for 25 cents to 1 dollar

hmm lets see the difference about 29 dollars

  • i bought a converter piece for 50 cents

you can use it right away no soldering required

  • Comment removed

  • [sod-er]

  • I hate the way you say soldering.

  • lol sol-der-ing iron isnt it ah-der-ing? idk thats how i say it

  • Soddering dip shit

  • hmm, I made almost the same thing with my xbox controller, but it was like this: my favorite xbox crystal controller started to lag and not work at some times, then I figured that it was the wire that had been bent and damaged form when I've packed my xbox to have it with me to my moms house or to some friends to play system link, anyway i opend the controller and replaced the wire with a better one from an old HUGE xbox controller and now it works fine ^.^ I also open my sega controllers alot

  • i bought one for 2 bucks

  • nice keyboard!

  • can this work with mac?

  • @dooman1123 No, mac is a horrible OS

  • @dooman1123 i doubt it. you would have to search for mac compatible parts.

  • @dooman1123 nothing work on mac

  • @KaelDragon That statement failed. Yes, it will work: Macs have more drivers than PC ever will.
