@baroque2 Nope... Thats not punk. Shes pop. But Green day and blink 182, are pop punk, a genre created in the late 80's early 90's. They still maintain a level of the punk idea to certain extent, but Avril lavigne in no way is punk, shes just another pop singer. True punk bands are Rancid, Bad Religion, UK Subs, The Offspring, Anti-Flag, Op Ivy, The Adicts, The Exploited.

@neverender888 The trick (in case you ever need to get the played with a pick tone with a bassline that can really only be played with fingers) is to wrap your fingertips tightly in electrical tape, and make sure the strings are new, and the amp is set with the bass up, low-mids down, high-mids and highs up. For an example, check out my songs "Comensation" and "Serenity". It sounds like I played bass with a pick, but it was taped fingers, and I don't even have fingernails (I bite 'em).

@crazyape515 try Knox gelatin, u can find it in the baking isle at grocery stores. just mix it with hot water and use it like u would gel and blow dry the spikes. Knox is actually good for ur hair and it spikes the tallest spikes. washing it out takes patience though, it washes out but it takes a while for the water to soften the gelatin.
