This is a very lonely song. Sort of what I considered when I chose it. Death is personal - you can't invite friends along for the ride, if you know what I mean. What can I say? Enya's music, as in the case of this song, takes us to a time/place of a different level. It weaves a web into the heart of what it means to be human & our place in the world. This song is magnificent. I used this in a home liturgy for Good Fridat, the celebration of Jesus's death. I actually used it for the part when Jesus takes his final breath.
