I bought the old movie in dvd format, and the author/writer/producer (begrudgingly) admits that it has been sanitized, edited, and cut so as not to incite, give ideas to, or influence modern day viewers !!!. Several scenes and lines from that original movie that have been wiped from the pages of history. I watched The Warriors for the first time since i was a kid yesterday. I watched the Directors cut, which is a triumph... The film stands up to todays standards (minus the fro's and wave hair styles) Its compelling, fun and just awesome. Its simple plot is an asset to the film making it very enjoyable to watch

I have an idea to make this movie ten times better than it is!

The movie starts out with Rembrandt as an old man in a cemetary looking at tombs of his friends. He spots 8 of them and breaks down in tears, then a recalls from his memory of the 8 Warriors who risked their lives to get Rembrandt back home safely. As they go on their journey, each of the Warriors die protecting Rembrandt.

All 8 Warriors are dead, and Rembrandt is left alone on the beach.
