  • His clothes are the best .

  • He is so relaxed !?!

  • Actually, it's a probably a pretty smart strategy as a concert flamenco guitarist outside of Spain to play the compositions of the greats. If he were to try to create his own compositions, perhaps he would be wildly successfull, but the odds are against it. Out of the thousands of talented flamenco guitarists, there has only been one Paco and one Sabicas. True, the second tier players can and do create their own compositions, but they never are quite as good IMO.

  • There's a Native American saying, "Never criticize anyone without walking in his moccasins first".

  • ole oley OLEYYYYYYyyy

  • takeitindballs oye si kieres ecucha cosas difisiles i con mucho sentimiento escucha a vicente amigo i veras q tmb es un astro como paco no a ise nivel pero es mui bueno de verdad algunos disen q es el susesor de paco belo i veras q bueno es saludos

  • That ain't Sabicas!!!! He just BELIEVES himself a composite of Sabicas, Paco and all the great players just because he knows how to play their stuff. It reminds me of what Sabicas said to Paco one time: In order to be a great musician you must compose and play your own music as opposed to COPY someone elses style.

  • lol dude chill, he's just playing a sabicas piece. and he's pretty good at it too.

  • Chill is how I am. He is a great guitar player and has a lot of knowledge, and I respect that. I wish I could play like that. However, that doesn't change the fact that he just plays falsetas that he didn't write. I can go to my music store and get Sabicas and Pacos scores as well. Writing your own music is a whole different story. The oddest thing is that no more effort is required to copy something than it is required to come up with your own ideas.

  • There should be a difference between a player and a composer. This difference gives each piece a huge value because it will be played for ages by different players.

This is something unfortunately the flamenco world lacks at this time but I respect Goryachev for just being a player. You cant criticize him for that.

  • I am not criticizing him so much as I am addressing the issue that the piece is not his. Look past that part of your mind that says: "Everything that isn't a complement is an insult". Hero worship is probably one of the healthiest things for a human being to do, granted one worships the right hero as in the case of "Grisha". Hero worship is an excellent servant, but a terrible master.

  • @Sebastian1633 Do you really think that when guitarists compose they are being original? Some of Paco's first compositions are direct copies of what Sabicas or Niño Ricardo where doing. He just gave it his own "twist". Isn't that what you do when you interpret someone else's piece? I'm gutted that i don't remember who said it, but some composer said once something like "great composers borrow ideas from others, geniouses directly steal them".

  • Paco, like everyone else in any field of human endeavor, copied what others did, because that's the was the way he would learn. Since he didn't know how to improvise back then, he memorized. It is important to memorize? It is at first. Then once you recognize the patterns you will write your own music, like Paco did. This guy can play music from others and I honor that, but if that's the only thing you can do you are stuck. Take a look at his records: Not one piece is originally his.

  • The only thing that i don't agree with you is saying that you are a stuck if you don't write. I wouldn't say john williams (the guitarist) is a stuck, in fact, I think he's one of the greatest guitarists on the planet. But take a look as his records! You won't find many original pieces (I think he wrote a concerto for guitar, but that's about it).

  • Think of the difference between a sorcerer and someone who uses a spell. Someone who uses a spell (and flamenco is a freaking spell for me, it makes me go bananas) might temporary "pluck the chords" (haha) and produce a spell, but it's not as powerful as when you walk through the world thinking this way.

  • when I said you were stuck, I meant that you should have more in your arsenal. It's like when kids pick up a guitar, see John Petrucci shredding and immediately want to go out and play fast scales. Some of the succeed, but they're stuck playing fast, they don't know how to do anything else. I don't know Williams, but if it's true that he plays what others wrote, I guarantee you that once his dead, so will be his music, while Paco will be remembered long after his departure.

  • John Williams is one of the best classical guitar players in history, I do believe his interpretations of the works of Barrios and many others will be remembered. What is more, I'm sure Barrios would admit that his own work was magnified by Williams' interpretation. Some musicians are great composers, others great interpreters, and others both. They all give something to music.

  • Really? Well, Ramon Montoya made popular the "Palo" rondeñas. Although many guitarists have written many rondeñas's falsetas, the very term rondeña evokes the memory of Ramon. You are right there are great composers, and great intepreters; however, it is the composers who leave their trade mark. Anyone can wear a top hat and play like slash, everyone is good at imitating; the real challenge is: Can you be original and set new standards of music and leave your indelible print.

  • @chapeauelesmirriau The only thing JW gives to guitar music is how to technically approach passages; his technique cannot be faulted. With regard to interpretation, however, the man is a robot. I've seen him perform the Chaconne by Bach and throw it off as easily a party piece. It was an instantly forgettable performance as are so many of his concerts because he lacks a connection with the music that goes beyond playing all the notes correctly and quickly and with a nice tone. Feelings matter.

  • where can i finde the tabs please please

No opines boludeces

  • Are you a fagot, Mr. barbeta? Congratulation!

Mr. Goryachev can't help you. Sorry!

  • ImIrish and I'll fight the next asshole who says the russians are best

  • It's Grisha Goryachev, a brilliant guitarist and terrible dresser.

  • too bad about the crappy film quality, i'm glad the sound is so clear. I was wondering if this is really Sabicas? Colour TV didn't come out until he was 40-50 and this guy looks really young

  • this isnt Sabicas, its Grisha Goryachev playing sabicas bulerias.

  • If you can reinvent a classic flamenco song in your own version i find it better then anything, It shows their artistic mind. Example Paco Pena

  • pronomiono traiopon,eriminomiono,praiyu!

  • nice music and socks :-)))

  • :( SABİCAS diffrent and Great musician......

  • i love the pixelation

  • You´re not sabicas !! mejor le cambio

  • This is the young Grisha, he is older now about 29 or 30. He is going to be the next flamenco master.

  • maybe,but first he'll have to invent his own material, as of now,he doesn't play his own material.{this is a composition by Sabicas}

  • Well there is a difference between a composer and a guitarist. He´s just a guitarist why should he compose?

  • I agree entirely, conde is young yet and like paco in his earliest stages,he is just emulating{Sabicas} Paco started out copying everything Nino Ricardo did, but went on to being top rated plaing and composing.Only time will tell whether conde, or Grisha, graduate from excellent guitarrists to true artists who also compose their own falsettas.

  • A non-spaniard will never be the "next flamenco master"!

  • You racist dummy!

  • grisha goryachev

  • Not Sabicas performing, but the piece composed by Sabicas, I have the original album.

  • Great playing young master
