And let me just say that after seeing this in full last night (via PBS), I am enchanted by Katie Hall. I am a musical theatre major, and she is a new inspiration now. Her voice is flawless. I love her tone, vibrato, and the color to her voice is impeccable. I hope to one day "float the notes" the way she does. Absolutely brilliant.

I have nothing against Nick Jonas... I was willing to give him a chance and listen to his rendition... why not? I couldn't tell what his voice was capable of just from listening to Jonas Brothers music... but sorry folks... for this type of music, he was pretty mediocre (at best). I don't know about the rest of you, but I prefer Camilla Kerslake over Katie. I mean, she's absolutely wonderful, but she just doesn't have the same charisma and Cossette-ness. Personally, I think she's better for Christine in Phanthom.

While Nick has a great voice compared to other pop stars...he is NO WAY up to the standard of playing Marius. Ive seen Les Mis about 7 times and was disappointed they went with someone just because they are a celebrity and have a large fan base. When Michael Ball(one of the best Marius's i believe) sings at the end it is blatantly evident Nick's limitations.

i am not sure how many people seem to really be respecting the utter brilliance of this musical now that nick jonas has been in it because now there are just a bunch of screaming young girls tthat love anything that involves him saying they like the musical! it is all rubbish! and as far as talent goes in the cast of te 25th anniversary well it is clear to see that jonas just cant keep up with the rest of them! he had a good crack at it but was overshadowed all the way through by true performers

Yes, at the time I only went to see Nick (I'm a fan), but the musical itself was phenomenal. And I do agree with you, that some (not all) fan girls don't appreciate the musical and story itself. I am not one of them... I loved the entire show!
