I am a fan of Hyundai! I have never seen this Sonata but at least it looks good I can tell! But I would never trust a guy that gives a review without mentioning one negative thing about the car! What a bad review and a waste!

i just put a deposit on popped up sonata GLS last night. I loved it sooooooooooo much. i am trading in my Honda accord EX-L 2000 v6. I was looking for used Honda accord 2009 and sonata but after looking and examining both the cars i came to the conclusion that sonata is much better choice.

i was in the market for an altima, accord, camry. I said screw it let me check out what Hyundai has. I was blown away. I really blown away by the value it gives you compared to the others in its class. I used to lease a G35 sedan and even though that was a better car it wasnt $18,000 better than this. It feels like you're driving a TL. Ive been negotiating with 2 dealers..hopefully this time next week it will be in my driveway.

my mom just got a loaded black SE....all i can say is... GOD DAMN HYUNDAI IS ON A FUCKING ROLL....this damn car, its just perfect. also like the feel of the paddle shifters,very high quality feel, steering is inspiring and sporty, comfort,,, is that of my dads old es300, interior quality fit and finish is bar none, amazing, all the buttons and controls just feel so solid, door slams with a solid thud, ...and not to mention the amazing exterior... , just give hyundai a nice firm handshake.

The one thing that stood out to me when reading all sorts of reviews on this car is that engineers only wanted to offer this in a 4 cylinder version, and that's a big reason why it gets such good mileage; because they don't have to beef up the frame or other components to handle the weight of a 6 cylinder. Want this car so freakin bad!

4 banger means 4 cylinder engine. Hyundai Sonata and its corporate cousin the Kia Optima are still the best in class with 24 city 35 highway. This number could potentially be matched or broken by the new Camry this year and new Accord next year. We'll have to wait and see.

Much of Hyundai's challenge is to begin changing consumers idea of what it's like to own a Hyundai. @NADAguides Hello! I bought my new Sonata two weeks ago. I love my new Sonata! The design, the performance, and all of the features make this car amazing for the money. This car should be listed at least 30 grand for what you get in the GLS model. Nice that the Koreans can make a car that is affordable but feels like a more expensive car. This car is very classy and I wouldn't want any other car on the market in this price range.

@bondage2012 True, Sonata's design seems to have quite a bit of German influence--CLS, CC, 3 Series--but it's definitely not ugly as camry & accord.  You must be a moron if you think camry & accord's designs aren't influenced by other automakers.

@alphaendomega Personal attack isn't cool, buddy. Hyundai has long known to be a POS. The Sonata simply isn't influenced, it has directly copied from other automakers' bread and butter models' strong cues. If you are familiar with those vehicles, being inside a Sonata simply doesn't feel at home; it's lack of originality. As for the Engine, maybe it has improved. Only time will tell. But if you only use cars for A to B, anything reliable is suffice.

The latch malfunction only happens when you pull the handle and lock the door at the same time. It seems to me that only idiots would do something like that to discover issues. In any case, it was barely even a recall like Toyota, which they recalled over 8 million cars and 50 millions cars still under the recall category. Hyundai only recalled the first 1300 cars early Feb. All sales are going smoothly with the issue dealt with as of Feb. 14th 2010.

All sales are going well since that date.

Ive never thought about buying a Hyundai , I was looking at the G37 or Audi .... but damn , i would only be paying for the brand. This car, fully loaded , wayyyy less than an used g37 or audi A4. Anyway , im gonna test drive it on the weekend.
