  • Сер, Пол! Это круто!!!

  • Rip it up, Paul!!! Love it!

  • Good !!!

  • Paul McCartney: the standard by which all other musicians are judged.

  • Sir Paul is pretty clever. He writes a song in 1974 that mocks John Lennon. Then many years later plays it like it was a tribute to Lennon.

  • @BACKSIDEJOHNNY I am not the beatle fan that you are because I am not sure what you are talking about . How was this song mocking John?

  • yesterday....27/11/11 assago. GREAT

  • THIS VIDEO DESERVES MORE VIEWS!

  • Just love it !!! roll it to me !!!

  • Aun me acuerdo de crio en alemania en los 60, levantarme a las 6 de la mañana para escuchar los primeros discos de los beatles en casa de un amigo. Para mi es como si fuera ayer. Jamás habrá un grupo como los FAB 4

  • El baterista es chingon!!!!!, I Love it

  • we used to roll it when we listened in 1974

  • Paul never gets old in my eyes, i still see that spark in his eyes, the same spark from 50 years ago

  • these great sounds hit the emotions and make girls jump out of their clothes! Happily ! Don Juan Fernando, you ain't got nothing on Paul !

  • That audience needs drugz bad

  • this is one of my favoriteS!

  • YOU BET THAT JIMMY-HENDRICKS IS LAUGHING IN IS GRAVE????

  • Paul was on tour in Montréal the other day, and I was just walking around at the end of the concert, trying to roll a J in the dark night, and I dreamed Paul would just walk out of nowhere and tell me "Let Me Roll It" !!

  • its very difficult to play the guitar part and sing it,notice even Paul cant!Much easier playing the bass part and singing it..

  • @onlyjoetee uh, Paul isn't playing bass in the clip....he's playing rhythm.....Randy's got the guitar part, with Paul amplifying the major lick.

  • @histre101 you missed my point. Its very difficult to play the guitar riff and sing at the same time, which Paul is actually NOT doing.Notice,he just holds the guitar while he's singing the lead vocal,he's not actually playing the riff. But you can play the bass part AND sing very easily.THAT was my point!

  • @onlyjoetee I think you miss my point too.....Paul doesn't play the riff as he isn't playing lead on stage (Randy plays lead)...Paul did play the riff on the original though. I'm sure you'd agreed that recording is different than playing on stage. Point being, Paul could play the riff and sing....he doesn't do it because Randy plays lead as Paul wants him too., not that it's difficult for him.

  • @histre101 its very very unatural to play that riff and sing at the same time, try it now you'll see!!The bass part is more natural, which is what McCartney usually plays. As you can see he's not playing the guitar riff as he sings, theres a very good reason for that,im not surprised at all that he's not doing it,because its very unatural.Recording is different, its done track by track, you can do anything in the studio,This is live!!

  • @onlyjoetee Let me get this straight...you seem to think that because Paul is not playing the riff, that he is not able to sing the vocal ?? Here's a bulletin....Paul plays that stinging lead on "taxman"....which proves he isn't simply a "bass player"...the notion that all Paul can do is play bass, frankly, is idiotic. It isn't more "natural". The reason he is not "playing" lead here is not because he can't.or that it is more natural to play bass....it's because he doesn't HAVE to.

  • @histre101 Paul McCartney was a guitarist years before he ever held a bass, thats not my point. Its not because he doesnt HAVE to,its because its not the natural thing to do,otherwise he would fucking do it.Dont compare the studio to the stage,i dont know if you actually play music or not,but they are 2 completely different things!!just forget it man,you dont understand what im saying, and you cannot accept that there is something that is beyond Paul McCartney to do technically,so just forget it

  • @onlyjoetee Hi, it seems we're practically on-line here. Paul does not play the riff as the additional sound from his guitar would spoil the song's rythmic structure. Within the song the riff must be heard crytstal clean. As you may have noticed, their guitars give different tembre (Gretsch and Les Paul). The riff itself is one of the easiest to play and sing along - just try it. And to the song itself - just fantastic!

  • @astonupus spoil what?its nothing to do with no fucking les paul or gretsch or whatever the fuck. You dont understand shit man, just go away

  • @onlyjoetee Patiently. When he sings - the riff is played by one guitar, accent on the vocal. When he does not sing - the riff is played by two guitars with different combined sound, and power, if you want this word. Paul is very sensitive to the sound quality. During the concert they change guitars 20-25 times. Practically, for each song they use the specific set of guitars. Sometimes during the songs they change guitars as well (eg Band on the run). Cheers!

  • @histre101 you can see CLEARLY that he's not playing the riff as he sings, you can CLEARLY see it with your 2 eyes, right?now ask yourself a simple question, why not?Because its a very unatural thing to do!!!thats all!!!

  • just him in cinci i can die a happy man

  • Paul can do everything--here, his little-known ability to play lead, electric guitar is seen and heard. Remember, this is a dude who saw Hendrix play in London BEFORE Are You Experienced was released (and recall also that Hendrix incorporated the title track of Sgt. Pepper into his live act within two weeks of the album's release). Paul's rock-god credibility is beyond question. He's like the universe--finite, but boundless.

  • THE KIDS!

  • Maybe this is something we can all agree on..

  • As Larry King said once, "Sir Paul, an Icon above Icons" :-)

  • what is the song they're playing at the end?

  • @billionthbeatle foxy lady by Jimi Hendrix

  • @brennanh31 thanks! :)

  • this makes me wanna take my clothes off xDD

  • Sir Paul, you are pretty much the defenition of awesome. Rock on. Cheers.

  • I believe that this is one of the best songs at the concerts.

  • Happy Birthday, Paulie!

  • This version gives me goose bumps liustening to and watching

  • Lennons influence on this song WHAT. What do you know that we all dont know.

  • @MrMarkbennett

The song was seen by critics as a pastiche to John Lennon's sound, particularly the use of tape echo on the vocals. McCartney, however, never claimed the song was intended as a pastiche to Lennon. McCartney did say the vocal "does sound like John... I hadn't realized I'd sung it like John."

  • @OropherThranduil That's the first hearing Sir Paul comment.... tnx for that :-) LM

  • This version ROCKS!

  • Why was this never released as a single - easily the best song on the album?

  • THUMPS UP FOR LENNON'S INFLUENCE ON THIS SONG!

  • babes did you see ALL the babes!!!!

  • @CBeautrelet Don't mean to rub it in, but, I've heard it live twice. Your right, it's one of the best of the show. It's a must see.

  • WINGS was a totally underrated group! I totally love all of Wings' songs, and I also adore Linda McCartney's vocals:)

  • No doubt about it...Paul McCartney is HOT! :) I LOVE that man!

  • I love song

  • Hehehe...I think I want this video played at my funeral...this and "Good Day Sunshine." Love me some Paul McCartney! :)

  • Thumbs up if you agree that this version is way better than the original!

  • @mantas1803 Yes! Sounds like the version from "One Hand Clapping"

  • @mantas1803 Way better than the original indeed. This version sounds a lot dirtier, and thanks to Paul's excellent drummer it has a cool grungy sleazy rhythm. The original sounds bland in comparison, too clean for the Great Rock Ballad that this is!!.

  • Actually written as a kind of John Lennon mock song! But John liked it!!!

  • makes 40 and 50 year olds weepy....20 and 30 year olds rip their top off....teens giggle with delight

  • @0:43 the drummer looks like mr. potato head i had to point that out

  • The vocal is superb! xxx

  • 0:42 lol xD

  • eleven people don't have heart to roll...=(

  • the dislikes are DEAF.

  • xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxlove it

  • She's a GOLD DIGGER !!

  • 4:38-to the end. HE FUCKING KICKED ASS IN FOXEY LADY

  • THIS VIDEO SHOULD NOT HAVE A DISLIKE BUTTON

  • @daftpunk3494 It defies reason that some people don't like this. Talk about Rock'n'Roll dreams. Look at the ecstatic looks on the faces of everyone there.

  • @mydogspet What surprises me the most is the fact that this people come here to listen a Mc Cartney video. I mean, if u don't like Paul, you just don't look at his videos. But if you look at them, what's the point in voting negative? Even more when you have such a great song and such a great performance. It's something I don't understand. Anyway, who cares? Paul & John are and will always be the greatest rock songwriters of the last century.

  • @julian1775 Hi Julian. I'm a long long Beatles fan, and agree about John and Paul. After the beatles, John's caustic side grew, and Paul's whimsical side sometimes overtook him. Together they were unstoppable. Apart, they were hit or miss through their careers. But some songs - Let me roll it- got no airplay in its day- and it was great.

  • @mydogspet Yes. I totally agree with you. John & Paul did their best together, even when they made great music in their solo careers as well. That said, it's obvious to me that Lennon music have had more airplay than Paul's. There´s a lot of people who actually think Paul "did nothing" after The Beatles, and they don't know a single song of Wings. Makes me sad.

  • @julian1775 Con't thought- Paul had a tendency to go too Pop, and having John over his shoulder gave him more edge. He'd have never made Magneto and Titanium Man with the Beatles. And John had too much anger. Paul softened that, brought out a mellowness that took off the harsh edge on John, which surfaced after the break-up. Paul found a way to make his wife fit. John didn't. He allowed her to do experimental stuff that many people hated. Scream therapy. They benefited from each other.

  • @mydogspet Brilliant comment. Totally true. And yes, they benefited from each other. That's why I think they did their best when their were together. It's almost a miracle that this two great musicians were born in the same city and almost at the same time.

  • @julian1775 I'm still waiting for the next "Beatles" lol. Once upon a time, people assumed this just happened every few years. This is like Beathoven, it comes once, and you're blessed if it happens in your generation.

  • @mydogspet In fact, the other day I was talking to a friend of mine and I said: "Eleanor Rigby" is one of my favourite Paul´s songs. "Paul did it? I thought it was John's!" he replied. Same thing with Helter Skelter and so on. Paul was the most important beatle from 1966 till the end, but most people havent read the story. To me, there's too much "John is God" stuff. He was great, but Paul was as good as him, and that's a fact. I love them both. And yes, Let Me Roll It is amazing.

  • @julian1775 It's hard to say who was more important. But Paul was the most decisive and experimental, which pushed the Beatles in directions that others wouldn't have taken. (Sgt Pepper and Abby Road) John was a genius, but he had a really bitter side, no doubt because his mom and dad abandoned him. He had a major chip on his shoulder and wanted to do straight ahead Rock and Roll, which he tried to do after the Beatles. ...But they were a major influence on each other. (see continued)

  • @julian1775 Hi Julian. I love friends that love the Beatles. It's like Lord of the Rings- there's an instant connection because of a common interest, someone who deeply touched our lives. I listenned to the Medly from Abby Road for hours, like soul-medicine. Sure, I like the Stones, the Who, Zep, but his music was "Take me down from the edge" music, almost magical in that it made you happy. His recent concerts show toddlers to grandmas- smiles galore, and teens still catching Beatlemania.

  • How about the woman at the end 5:32 . She looks stunned!

  • heather was and is a SCUM BOTTOM FEEDING SLUNT

  • @MrMonteCarloRacing She gave him a daughter. Passing on Paul's genes must be a good thing for the species--besides, the Judge sensibly awarded Heather a mere 36 million pounds or so, 5% of his net worth or less--pocket change in comparison to the plus of having another McCartney child on the planet.

  • 11 people didn't feel like letting go

  • That little boy on 0:49 is too ccute not to mention. He looks so happy singing along!!

  • Their must be 5 generations in this audience enjoying this.

  • This extremely sexy woman at 2:35 and 4:00 seems to have the time of her life. She should marry Paul, they'll look great together. OMG theyy re even TWINS, see 3:17

  • This extremely sexy woman at 2:35 and 4:00 seems to have the time of her life. She should marry Paul, they'll look great together.

  • this looks like the funnest concert ever.....everyone is so happy!

  • great performance and the solo at the end was something else

  • 11 people probably think Justin Bieber is real music

  • One of my favorite McCartney post-Beatle songs!...

  • i`m so less fortunate., Paul hates Philippines :( ., i wanna be a millionaire to follow him all over the world... i`m always in love with him., yayyyy ^_^

  • THEE Preformer of our time

  • Paul is always better live. Just by the skin of his teeth. His music is perfectly composed, perfectly sung to, perfectly played and perfectly played eight more times. But when he's live on stage, you get ten times the energy and ten times the joy. I think we all love Paul, no matter what :)

  • @jarbydnjksd I love him not just because he is Paul, you know, I love him because he's still great and watching him live is the most beautiful experience I ever had (and I've been to many great concerts, believe me).
