@nokia3210fuck The United States are already finished, at least the U.S. we have known. and what if one our allies gets attacked, should we turn our backs on them? If we do that then we might not get help if we need it, not that we get a ton of help from them now but a little is better than nothing?.
if we are attacked dr. paul made it clear that we would, "declare a war, win it, and then end it" but these unconstitutional and never-ending wars like iraq would never happen. iraq wasn't behind 9/11, nor was afghanistan, why are we occupying their countries? war against terrorism is a joke - you can't go to war with an idea. with that kind of logic Americans were british terrorists who revolted and won. who's on whose land? them or us? they're not the ones bombing us.
@MrLAWLsuit I can see my self voting for him, he may be soft on defence but everything else sounds really good, If he's not just telling the people what they want to hear like all potential candates do. Is he for same sex marriage? If so he probably will have my vote.
nope, this man has integrity and has been saying the same thing for over two decades. seriously, look up some videos on youtube about him. he's says the same things as now, just much younger. he wants the government out of marriages, and thinks it's ridiculous that we even have to have licenses for it; you can marry whoever you want.
we have the most nukes and best weapons/military personnel in the world. i think our defense is just fine. vote in your rep. primary for dr. paul
our founding fathers said, "no entangling alliances" for a reason. why mettle in other nation's affairs? they encouraged us to trade and be friends with everybody, but never go to war for anything other than our national defense. why should precious American blood and treasure be spilled over anything else? these people signed up to protect America, not to police the world. you can't make America safer by killing people in other countries because they MIGHT do something.
@LaWSUIt I do agree with almost everything you said. but I am very sure that if we completely give up and leave the middle east that more radical Muslims will come back and hit us again, that is there mission, destroy big satan, which is what the united states is to them, with Israel being little Satan. I do realize what the founding fathers said but times are different.
@MrLAWLsuit I also believe that if we refuse to help smaller, weaker nations fight if they get attacked by radical Muslims, that they could be easier to take over because they don't have our military strength. If those other countries are taken over and occupied with radicals then those radicals could use that nations resources to be more powerful then go for bigger countries. I see them as modern day Nazis. They wont rest until the world is under there rule. I think fighting the Nazis was good.
don't you realize all of these middle east countries are dirt poor? remember how iraq was such a threat to us? we took over the country in like three days. like i said earlier, we can't go to war with nations because of something they might do. israel is the strongest nation in the region...who do we need to protect? we give out money to other countries, but that doesn't mean we're allies..that means we're just their sugar daddies. now we're broke and Americans are suffering..why?
@MrLAWLsuit once again I mostly agree with you. But you should have another look at some of these middle east countries, like Saudi Arabia. There so rich that they are living in a paradise. The middle east isn't keeping our civil liberties from us because we are fighting. Now the government... Well the government sucks and we need to completely replace it.
@MrLAWLsuit yea. Iraq wasn't much of a challenge. And we do give WAY too much money to other countries. And when we need aid it doesn't seem like anybody really wants to step up.
@LaWSUIt If somebody wanted to they could consider threatening to take a child's PlayStation away if he doesn't behave terrorism. I think terrorism is killing 2977 people trying to bring us to submission and follow there ideals. Although i think we should have went to Saudi Arabia since 15 of the 19 hijackers were from there. In the long run we ARE defending ourselves considering the domino effect of not fighting. Freedom isn't free, its not just given to us, we have to fight to keep it.
you're absolutely right, sir; freedom isn't free and we do need to fight to keep it. but who's keeping our civil liberties from us? our government or the people in various middle east countries? you're right the word terrorist isn't very clear since one person's terrorist is another person's freedom fighter, so what are we doing fighting against "terrorism" which is an idea? we're in their country, they're not in ours. who's keeping whose freedom from who? OBL is dead, we got him
@MrLAWLsuit to me it seems like we should be calling it a fight against terrorists since those are the people using that method. Terrorism is the method. But maybe were just getting too hung you an a word. Like the war on drugs, they could call it the fight against drugs but I know what they mean. I would rather concentrate on getting laid Saturday night rather than be tripp'n out about why they name things the way they do. If I try to figure out government logic I would have a brain aneurysm.
everything he says sounds good but what about national defence? If or when we get attacked again will he be willing to defend us or would he hide under his desk like a frightened puppy while we get destroyed? Every civilization needs to defend itself sometimes to insure its survival. Nobody can be safe with an unstable middle east. I need to know he has the ability to defend us if need be before I can vote for him.
4. He will bring home the troops and stop our occupation of other sovereign nations. 5. He wants to repeal NAFTA and CAFTA. 6. He thinks it is none of the federal government's business who people marry. 7. He wants to end the war on drugs. 8. He understands economics and wants to end the Fed's fiat money monopoly that has caused the dollar to lose over 90% of it's value since Nixon closed the gold window in 1971. 9. He wants to end all foreign aid.
vote for Ron Paul: 1. He is against amnesty for illegals and birthright citizenship for their children. 2. He voted against the Patriot Act. 3. He has never voted for a congressional pay raise, has never taken a government-funded junket and returned $140,000 of his congressional pay to the Treasury last year.
@TheKp194806 in my opinion, people have been conditioned to believe in the system the way it is now. ive heard SO many tell me that his idea of giving states their own legislative rights is "just too radical". it wouldnt make things worse. i think people in state governments probly have more sensibility (and are less corrupt) than those in federal gov. but ron paul wants to give the system a complete makeover and many cant handle that

RON PAUL I HAVE A MESSAGE FOR YOU: " UNITED STATES OF AMERICA WILL NEVER BE A PUSSY COUNTRY! USA WILL NEVER TAKE ORDERS FROM OTHER COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD! USA WILL REMAIN THE MOST POWERFUL COUNTRY IN THE WORLD! USA NEEDS A PRESIDENT WITH BIG BALLS , U WAKE UP TWICE A NITE TO TAKE PISS GRANDPA, U HAVE NO ENERGY TO BE US PRESIDENT,UR 76 YRS OLD, DUDE WTF? RU DREAMING?
Joseph Hsu took all Rick Snyder's money. Mr. Obama might try to help. Oh yes Obama borrowed money from China. Many more politicians have borrowing power in United States. We will never get it back. Obama borrowed and Joseph Hsu not taking shit from that nigor..
Eradicate ALL BANKS, we don't need them , Remove the FED your only addressing a consequence of all commercial banks laundering circulation.
In reality WE the people are the true creditors & WE the people create money NOT BANKS . Banks don't loan money or create money THEY CHANGE MONEY before fractional expansion, before issuance , until Ron addresses the root cause of economic failure which is obfuscation of our promissory obligation nothing will change ,banks will still launder your wealth..
Ron Paul saw it before time-A person with a vision!
I'm surprise that there is out-there still some-one that make sence!
Jews run this this country and change is commplitly diffrent meaning!
Do you think-Aipac-Adl OSEH & and all other E. Europians & Italia-Russians Jews-Mafia-ELITE give a rats who people vote for (they don't even buther to counts the vots)-(from some reason E. Europe wanted to see America & American people on the negative side)!
Even if you make the government smaller. There still will be an army and other things. So how will you pay for it without anyone to collect revenues?Ron Paul has good ideas but then he goes into lala land.
as stated in the video income tax only amounted to 1/3 of the Federal Budget in '06, the '00 budget was 2/3 the size of the '06 budget.. so cut spending to '00 levels and poof.. anyway, eliminate gun laws and encourage citizen militias and the need for the US to have a standing army will be limited to little more than embassy security and border patrol.. ban state funded welfare programs and allow mutual aid societies to fill the roles they once provided and you won't even need a border.
@jxsilicon9 There are still a number of options. User fees are still applicable whether it be for using something on Federal property or highways which could collect a decent revenue. And Ron Paul's main adversary is anything that taxes your income. The possibility remains for low excise taxes (sales taxes on certain items). With these alone it is actually enough to pay for a small government. That's exactly how we did it in the 1800s where we only paid for army, navy, and a few other things.
that first quote, Benjamin Franklin's, should be adjusted a bit to say '...that don't have the brains, the heart, nor the balls to be honest.'
really smart people can still be treacherous, but they are unconfident and cowardly in that sense. so let it be known, that futbolfever90 coined that adjustment :-D
Ron Paul is a true and honest statesman! He isn't a lying politician. That's why the gov, the media, and the machine hate him! He wants to end the Fed, these bureaucratic institutions that take our money and waste it! Take our home back! I am telling you now if you are reading this, if you care about our country. Look up what Ron Paul stands for. Take 10 minutes! Ron Paul Revolution in 2012! Go Vote!
American Pie, by Don McLean, was released in 1971--the same year they ended the gold standard. I wonder if he intended it to have relevance? Ron Paul or possibly his son Rand is who we need for a president, imo, or we're done!
i dont vote because they are all full of shit! BUT IF RON PAUL RUNS IN 2012 I WILL GO VOTE. HE IS THE ONLY ONE THAT HASNT SOLD OUT! GOD BLESS RON PAUL. THE ONLY CHANCE WE HAVE!
Even though I'm not an American this video makes me sad, you sure had a great country once... maybe one day you guys will wake up and vote Dr. Paul for President.
Free energy has been here for a while ,But the Oil coporations life depends on covering this up,Find the real deal, a free energy device at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Big change is comming soon!
Even if he becomes the president there would be assassinated attempts on him like all the great presidents in US History who had made Congress control the money supply (Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln, Garfield etc)
The biggest problem is that he is not publicized greatly by the US media because he wants to kill the power of the Federal Reserve(which is private elitist cartel and nothing to do with govt). The US Media is held hostage to these big wigs which have an excellent record in "Manufacturing Consent"(Noam Chomsky)
I am from India, I see Ron Paul as a Savior and and the only one who has enough balls to tell the truth. I looked into his history and he has been saying this for all these years. He has written the book 'The Case for Gold".
Tricks and treachery are the practice of fool that don't have brain enough to be honest...is this really a famous quote? i remember my mom telling me the same
Ah, Ron Paul. I got to admit, he's one cool fellow, but getting rid of the Fed Income Tax and the Fed Reserve are just wishful thinking if you ask me. I bet if all Republicans were like Ron Paul, the Republican party might have a little more credibility than they do, instead of the kinds of ignorant rhetoric they engage on all the time, like Obama's birth certificate, and their constant whining labeling anything they don't agree with as socialism. Go to Cuba and see what REAL socialism is like.
I need to watch Ron Paul speak every few days to remind myself that common sense, although rare, still exists in this world. Keep fighting Ron! I'm with you in our fight for freedom and I'm not alone. 2012
Obama=Corruption, Lies, Deceit, Destruction of the U.S. Constitution, Destruction of America if we don't get our sh*t together fast! Ron Paul/Judge Andrew Napolitano in 2012!
The sanest American I heard in a long long time. $1.05 trillion spent so far on the War in Iraq and afhganistan and no end in sight. All this money could be spent on Education, Healthcare, Stimulus packages to create jobs. It could be spent on R&D and creating a green economy instead of chasing the oil. The U.S will bankrupt itself unless it wakes up. The Germans are busy creating a green economy. They lead the world in solar power development .
Its simple economics...FIAT currencies always fail! Google it lol its common sense what Ron Paul says....we can't afford this Polcing of the world anymore...the dollar is dying!
Paul's policies would create power vacuums throughout the world. The resulting global war would dwarf WWII. ALL of you would be drafted to compensate.
Paul's market fundamentalist economic policies would create an endless cycle of brief economic booms, followed by prolonged and deep crashes that make the Great Depression look like a picnic.
His domestic policies would remove all the safetynets that would enable us to survive his economic and foreign policies.
Wow, your a really brainwashed conformist aren't you. Think for yourself. how does wanting a nation to mind its own business going to create another war? You need to think for yourself and stop repeating the scare mongering started by the powers that be who would be disadvantaged by change from the currently failing system.
Don't lie to yourself. america is failing. They are falling. And the people causing it are inside.
Douche bag, you made the unsubstantiated claims. Your saying that if Ron Paul was elected, than for no other reason WW3 would come about, that would draw everybody to be conscripted, Wake up you fool. What are your credentials. Don't make up shit and post it on youtube, to say that you have an honorary doctorate in sociology and advanced economics. Because you don't. you do realize Ron Pauls education level. A lot smarter than a hill billy fool who dropped out of school and lives with his sister
i work for a charity that because of its good results we have obtained government funding.
Due to government requlations, beurocracy, paperwork and targets we have to hit the gov has turned a successfull charity into a disaster who cant help anyone. The only difference is we now all get paid a lot more n the gov is happy with fudged statistics to show in local/nationa elections.
There was no global war when the USSR collapsed. If RP's policies were implemented, there would be no draft, as that is another of his policies.
RP's economic policy would not create economic booms, those are bubbles created by inflation of the monetary supply. Your mistake is that you are trying to make Austrian Econ fit into Keynesian econ which is proven flawed by current crisis. No bubble=no collapse.
A pocket full of credit cards from a Chinese bank is not a "safetynet"!
1. ALL of the former Eastern Bloc countries went through years if not decades of turmoil, much of which is still ongoing.
2. That is the opposite of accurate. Austrian school economics died when the housing bubble (caused by multi-sector deregulation) burst in late 2007, caused a cascade of fail.
3. lol strawman. I obviously refer to social safety nets. Unemployment, food for the poor, etc. All of which would be gutted and privatized under RP with the rest of the government.
if we had gone by 'free markets' we wouldnt have had the housing crash of 2007.
It was caused by central banks setting interest rates below what the market required, not lack of regulation, thats over regulation.
how often do u hear someone say 'i cant work i wld lose my benefits'?. Under libertarian philosophy the poor n vulnerable wld be taken care of, the rest wld be provided with more opertunity as the cooperate economy becomes the peoples economy. Look up libertarian philosophy.
/This is always where big L Libertarian market fundamentalist policies/
A Socialist system is one where the single mother cant work, she will lose her benefits. The alcholic gets signed off wrk sick by a doctor n gets large benefits, that he/she can spend on alcohol n the circle continues. There is no oppertunity. The alcoholic or single mum need incentives not large hand outs
F.M Capitalism has capital! Gov can give money to local gov (if needed) to help those who cant help themselfs
Im English but I know ur country was built on national government giving out short term contracts (sometimes money) to companies who could improve the USA. Eg a company may build a railroad with the money that would improve travel, lower travel costs, n create jobs.
If a certain charity is wrking well with the homless (no home no job) dnt nationalise or socialise them. Give the charity a yrs contract/funding n jst request reciptes to show the money was spent well on improving the USA for all.
Also if you hand out a contract or funding to improve your state, say it is a homeless charity. The workers get money which helps the system, the charity can wrk better which helps the homless get into society and jobs and it doesnt go against free market principles & competition. its a win win for all without socialising or nationalising the homeless or the charity.
How can you maximize individual thought and action when the government claims monopoly control of force, violence and decision making through police, the military and the courts?
How do you maximize individual thought and action with regulation?
How do you maximize individual thought and action when you allow a government to commit thievery of private property on a grand scale through taxation?
You have no clue of libertarian thought and you just and apologist.
The US/global financial system crashed because excessively risky and even fraudulent transactions - from no-documentation mortgages to companies too big to fail to trillions of dollars worth of credit default swaps and other high risk complex financial instruments - were made legal in a 12+ year long fit of ideologically driven deregulation.
I know you're going to come back with 'B-B-BUT FANNIE MAE', at which point I will laugh.
To the degree that it is implemented, Austrian school fails.
1. Strawman. You compare the apple of Soviet collapse with the orange of US total pullback.
2. The Guilded Age got pretty damn close. Look at the results. Consistently to the degree that laissez faire is tried, it breaks capitalism to a commensurate degree.
3. That's funny, people are still pulling unemployment checks, etc.
Like rebellious teenagers, market fundamentalists always have plenty of criticism, but never any solutions.
1. OK Chicken Little, since it is your imagination where this global war exists, I guess I'll just have to accept it.
2. "Close" only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.
3. Glad you are laughing Mr. Nero, perhaps you could fiddle for us too?
The fact that I have no remedy for all the sorrows of the world is no reason for my accepting yours. It simply supports the strong probability that yours is a fake.
O man, first you need to learn business cycle theory. Boom bust cycles are impossible in a free market. We got and have them now because of the federal reserve.
You would do well to recognize that you also use ad hominem attacks.
But lets talk business cycle theory. What's your explanation? I'll tell you right now the correct theory is that low interest rates cause malinvestment by sending false signals to the economy. However, this cannot continue indefinitely as either consumer preferences in the market eventually force interest rates higher, or there is hyperinflation.
O that's cute, you couldn't even refute my point. Again, what's your theory of the business cycle? Or are you just going to call me an ideological slave again? (BTW who's your master?)
Actually the housing bubble was caused by low interest rates and government interference. Everything you talked about in your other post proves my point. Those thing would not have been possible w/o government and fed interference.
"real business cycle theory" is Chicago/Austrian economic theory, so why would I stoop to validate it?
Yes, there will always be peaks and dips.
Minimalist efficient governmental regulation is necessary for evening those out, so the dips don't swing too low. Can that go too far? Absolutely.
But claiming that boom/bust is a desirable trait because it's "natural' and discarding the only way to minimize the real human suffering caused by busts is at best naive, and at worst completely callous.
Hell yes he has my vote, but my question is this: why on earth are these points that Paul is making not obvious to Obama? He is our president, and he needs to start acting like it.
What a shame that Paul did not get elected in the 08 election... of what could have been if he had been and of the results of having another president carrying on with the status quo.
It's a shame that currently the politician with the most money gets elected, but the politician with the most moral character and integrity does not.
I hope the people who watch this realize what kind of a future you can have if this man is president.
While i will never say that i agree with teh vast majority of Americas decisions relating to foreign policy and diplomatic relations. I have the utmost respect for how it was originally intended to be by your founding fathers. It lost its way. A major tangent. Ron Paul is a voice of reason. Much closer to what the founding fathers intended. Also he voted against the unconstitutional patriot act.
I've watched and favorited this video probably 20 times lol. I never get tired of it. The first time I saw it I was completely awestruck. One of my favorite songs tied into a brilliant patriotic message of freedom by one of the greatest Americans in the short history of our nation..I know that sounds sappy but for me its dead on
Dennis is no good...I don't mean to insult you but...for the two years of the campaign...all he did was slam obama! Then when obama got the nomination...who did Dennis support???
Dennis is just another stupid ass lying politician who wants to maintain the status quo...more big government...more taxes...more social engineering...ect, ect, ect.
Need I go on?
How bad does it have to get before we demand an end to the Bullshit and demand real change???
How on earth did we not elect this man???? Look at what we have in office now. More garbage and bigger government. WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!! Please our nation is dying!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Im not a racist at all but when you tell the American people we need change they dont think of an older white male many people vote on instinct or who looks cooler Change = Young black male whos "hip" its a change not the one we need

I know the pain. Honestly on the list of candidates in the primaries, Obama was my LAST choice. Hell, before McCain chose his running mate, he was higher on my list of preferred presidents.
Oh well. Hopefully a decent Democrat will follow Obama. Your guy had a lot of his priorities in the right spots . Getting rid of the war on drugs, bringing America up to date with health care, and similar actions. Oh well. Let's have hope for Obama's successor.
Too true. They share the same market fundamentalism that was responsible for the damage under both Bush and Reagan, and which caused the current financial collapse.
iTS A RUSE.... THEY ARE AGAINST HIM BECAUSE THEY FEAR HIM.... TIME FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE TO STAND UP FOR OUR CONSTITUTION. OR WE CAN SIT BACK, WATCH TV, EAT A BAG OF CHIPS AND DO NOTHING AS WE CONTINUALLY LOSE MORE LIBERTY DAILY
He'd never win. He's got Reupublicans and Democrats against him and it's a force he can't defeat. My only concern is, if we cut all allies, would the world see us as weak? Would we be at risk of a gradual takeover? I'm so glad to see someone actually standing on the platform of what our founding fathers actually envisioned for this country.
I don't see why would care what the rest of the world thinks of us, considering we don't seem to care as things are. We can only hope that if we pulled out from our bases around the world that nations wouldn't want to attack us, afterall that's why they want to kill us now. But I'd think we'd take the Teddy Roosevelt foreign policy: speak softly, but carry a big stick(only to be used if attacked first).
I see your points, but if everyone that has said that he has no chance of winning simply voted for him, he could win. It is not so much about cutting alliances, as it is not haveing entangled alliances. I think we are actually more at risk of a loos of Sovereignty and takeover due deflation of our currency with the current path. It is refreshing to see someone not putting their finger in the wind to see what to say, but consistently vote by the Constitution instead.
Alliances aren't just "hey lets be friends" but pages of contractual, binding agreement. America has a natural, economical "alliance" with every single nation it trades with as does any nation. Throughout early American history, America has received help from many nations outside of Alliance contract much like nations receive help from America outside of Alliance contract.

No... your last sentence... no. You're way off. Paul is someone Franklin would've slugged. His stiff views of the Constitution completely contradict the fact that America was meant to always continue to improved. Also, even though he may have unique views from the Republicans, in most areas he'd still be just as bad as Dubya. He'd make a terrible president. What this country needs is someone on the other end of the political spectrum from Paul.
Thank you for this video. Everyone asks what the future of the republican party should be and the answer is so clearly outlined in this video that I wish other repubs could wake up and see it.
i think that 2012 will be are time !! time for the revolution!! by the time 2012 is here enough people will have woke up and see threw the scum that is trying to rule the world!! greedy money/power ego fkin SCUM BAGS!!! if every one was liveing in peace and as one!! would you go to war with yourself???.NO!! SO ITS TIME TO WAKE UP AND TELL EVERY1 ELSE TO WAKE UP!!!

Paul can't accomplish that. His targets would first and foremost be the federal government, not the 1% where all the money is located. His policies would simply make it so that the wealthy 1% literally did own America.

OBL is dead, we got him
MrLAWLsuit 4 months ago
@MrLAWLsuit to me it seems like we should be calling it a fight against terrorists since those are the people using that method. Terrorism is the method. But maybe were just getting too hung you an a word. Like the war on drugs, they could call it the fight against drugs but I know what they mean. I would rather concentrate on getting laid Saturday night rather than be tripp'n out about why they name things the way they do. If I try to figure out government logic I would have a brain aneurysm.
ranman92509 4 months ago
everything he says sounds good but what about national defence?

Even if you make the government smaller. There still will be an army and other things. So how will you pay for it without anyone to collect revenues?Ron Paul has good ideas but then he goes into lala land.
jxsilicon9 11 months ago
as stated in the video income tax only amounted to 1/3 of the Federal Budget in '06, the '00 budget was 2/3 the size of the '06 budget.. so cut spending to '00 levels and poof.. anyway, eliminate gun laws and encourage citizen militias and the need for the US to have a standing army will be limited to little more than embassy security and border patrol.. ban state funded welfare programs and allow mutual aid societies to fill the roles they once provided and you won't even need a border.
IsaacKarjala 11 months ago
@jxsilicon9 There are still a number of options. User fees are still applicable whether it be for using something on Federal property or highways which could collect a decent revenue. And Ron Paul's main adversary is anything that taxes your income. The possibility remains for low excise taxes (sales taxes on certain items). With these alone it is actually enough to pay for a small government. That's exactly how we did it in the 1800s where we only paid for army, navy, and a few other things.

The biggest problem is that he is not publicized greatly by the US media because he wants to kill the power of the Federal Reserve(which is private elitist cartel and nothing to do with govt). terry2tone 2 years ago
EVERY currency is a fiat currency.
Assigning value to gold (technically useless except to metal workers, etc) is just as arbitrary as assigning it to scraps of paper.
The only non-fiat form of trade is direct barter for actual objects with real value. Food. Ammunition. Clean water. Land.
A wildly impractical way to handle market-value in a complex society.

America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.

tommo2785 2 years ago
Paul's policies would create power vacuums throughout the world. The resulting global war would dwarf WWII. ALL of you would be drafted to compensate.
Paul's market fundamentalist economic policies would create an endless cycle of brief economic booms, followed by prolonged and deep crashes that make the Great Depression look like a picnic.
His domestic policies would remove all the safetynets that would enable us to survive his economic and foreign policies.
Thanks but no thanks.
cephal0p0d 2 years ago
@cephal0p0d.
And the people causing it are inside.
tommo2785 2 years ago
Let's analyze your response:
- Ad hominem attack
- Strawmen
- Unsubstantiated claims
The only fail here is yours.
cephal0p0d 2 years ago
Douche bag, you made the unsubstantiated claims. Your saying that if Ron Paul was elected, than for no other reason WW3 would come about, that would draw everybody to be conscripted, Wake up you fool. What are your credentials. Don't make up shit and post it on youtube, to say that you have an honorary doctorate in sociology and advanced economics. Because you don't. you do realize Ron Pauls education level. A lot smarter than a hill billy fool who dropped out of school and lives with his sister
tommo2785 2 years ago
Again, absurd claims, strawmen, and ad hom attacks. It is always thus when speaking to Rondroids.
As for my own claims:
- Paul advocates US disengagement in international affairs. This would result in what I have described, as proven throughout history.
- Paul is a slave to market fundamentalism. Consistently, to the degree that this has been implemented the economy has suffered, crashed.
- Paul advocates dismantling of govt programs that would mitigate the negative effects of same.
cephal0p0d 2 years ago
@cephal0p0d
Let's see, you made absurd claims with this "power vacuum cleaner" idea.
Your entire response is a strawman, Ron Paul does not advocate any of those bad things you mention.
Oh, and "Rondroids", ad hominem for the win!
Thanks for playing.

Due to government requlations, beurocracy, paperwork and targets we have to hit the gov has turned a successfull charity into a disaster who cant help anyone. The only difference is we now all get paid a lot more n the gov is happy with fudged statistics to show in local/nationa elections.

@cephal0p0d
MKeyserSoze 2 years ago
@ MKeyser
All of which would be gutted and privatized under RP with the rest of the government.
cephal0p0d 2 years ago
if we had gone by 'free markets' we wouldnt have had the housing crash of 2007.
Look up libertarian philosophy.
daveodo1 1 year ago
Idiot: I'm a progressive libertarian myself. I know the fucking philosophy. Clearly you do not:
"Libertarianism is a political theory that advocates the maximization of individual liberty in thought and action."
This does not mean 'ZOMG ABOLISH TEH STAYT ONLY MARKITS R GUD!!1'.
"Under libertarian philosophy the poor n vulnerable wld be taken care of"
Oh? By whom? This is always where big L Libertarian market fundamentalist policies fail: no plan but 'let the market sort it out'
cephal0p0d 1 year ago
/This is always where big L Libertarian market fundamentalist policies/
A Socialist system is one where the single mother cant work, she will lose her benefits. The alcholic gets signed off wrk sick by a doctor n gets large benefits, that he/she can spend on alcohol n the circle continues. There is no oppertunity. The alcoholic or single mum need incentives not large hand outs
F.M Capitalism has capital! Gov can give money to local gov (if needed) to help those who cant help themselfs
daveodo1 1 year ago
Im English but I know ur country was built on national government giving out short term contracts (sometimes money) to companies who could improve the USA. Eg a company may build a railroad with the money that would improve travel, lower travel costs, n create jobs.
If a certain charity is wrking well with the homless (no home no job) dnt nationalise or socialise them. Give the charity a yrs contract/funding n jst request reciptes to show the money was spent well on improving the USA for all.
daveodo1 1 year ago
C its quite easy really.
Also if you hand out a contract or funding to improve your state, say it is a homeless charity. The workers get money which helps the system, the charity can wrk better which helps the homless get into society and jobs and it doesnt go against free market principles & competition. its a win win for all without socialising or nationalising the homeless or the charity.
daveodo1 1 year ago
yeah if you want to maximize individual thought and action you need to get rid of the state.
ajnako12 1 year ago
No,:
If you want to maximize individual thought and action, you need to use the proper tool for each task.
For some situations, this means private/markets. Most, even.
For others, this means non-profits.
For others still, government.
Claiming that only one tool is appropriate for every job is the hallmark of the fundamentalist - the hallmark of failure.
cephal0p0d 1 year ago
How can you maximize individual thought and action when the government claims monopoly control of force, violence and decision making through police, the military and the courts?
How do you maximize individual thought and action with regulation?
How do you maximize individual thought and action when you allow a government to commit thievery of private property on a grand scale through taxation?
You have no clue of libertarian thought and you just and apologist.
ajnako12 1 year ago
Man you're all over the place. How was Austrian Economics anything but validated by the housing crisis?
ajnako12 1 year ago
The US/global financial system crashed because excessively risky and even fraudulent transactions - from no-documentation mortgages to companies too big to fail to trillions of dollars worth of credit default swaps and other high risk complex financial instruments - were made legal in a 12+ year long fit of ideologically driven deregulation.
I know you're going to come back with 'B-B-BUT FANNIE MAE', at which point I will laugh.
To the degree that it is implemented, Austrian school fails.
cephal0p0d 1 year ago
@cephal0p0d
1. still, there was no global war, you are just plain wrong.
2. wrong, we have never tried Austrian economics yet, and it's about time we did.
3. The safety net is failing already. Look around you. SS is bankrupt. Where will you get money to repair it? You know.... China.
MKeyserSoze 1 year ago
@MKeyserSoze
"OMG INVZIBL HAND" is not a solution.
cephal0p0d 1 year ago
@cephal0p0d
MKeyserSoze 1 year ago
O man, first you need to learn business cycle theory. Boom bust cycles are impossible in a free market. We got and have them now because of the federal reserve.
ajnako12 1 year ago
Idiotic prattle. You would do well to take your own advice.
I am a libertarian. I just don't subscribe to the absurd folly that is market fundamentalism.
I recognize the fact that, in the absence of another viable mechanism, there are some legitimate functions of government.
You use the right tool for the job.
cephal0p0d 1 year ago
You would do well to recognize that you also use ad hominem attacks.
But lets talk business cycle theory. What's your explanation? I'll tell you right now the correct theory is that low interest rates cause malinvestment by sending false signals to the economy. However, this cannot continue indefinitely as either consumer preferences in the market eventually force interest rates higher, or there is hyperinflation.
ajnako12 1 year ago
You'll tell me that because you are a meme-slave to market fundamentalism.
The Austrian school died in the rubble of the housing collapse it caused.
cephal0p0d 1 year ago
O that's cute, you couldn't even refute my point. Again, what's your theory of the business cycle? Or are you just going to call me an ideological slave again? (BTW who's your master?)
Actually the housing bubble was caused by low interest rates and government interference. Everything you talked about in your other post proves my point. Those thing would not have been possible w/o government and fed interference.
ajnako12 1 year ago
"real business cycle theory" is Chicago/Austrian economic theory, so why would I stoop to validate it?
Yes, there will always be peaks and dips.
Minimalist efficient governmental regulation is necessary for evening those out, so the dips don't swing too low. Can that go too far? Absolutely.
But claiming that boom/bust is a desirable trait because it's "natural' and discarding the only way to minimize the real human suffering caused by busts is at best naive, and at worst completely callous.

Exactly.
While i will never say that i agree with teh vast majority of Americas decisions relating to foreign policy and diplomatic relations.

It's one measure of sanity we have left. Paul would be worse than Reagan and Bush put together.
FrostbittenWolf 2 years ago

OR WE CAN SIT BACK, WATCH TV, EAT A BAG OF CHIPS AND DO NOTHING AS WE CONTINUALLY LOSE MORE LIBERTY DAILY

sadly we need 2 abolish government PERMANENTLY... even if he won it would STILL revert back 2 corruption...it always does!!
and secondly he would be assasinated

He could win if enough people wake up and actually understand how things are working and how truly bad they are.
cbass5511 2 years ago

A mixture in the failure of both parties has made the crack we need to push for real America.

Paul can't accomplish that. His targets would first and foremost be the federal government, not the 1% where all the money is located. His policies would simply make it so that the wealthy 1% literally did own America.
