i live in the city. i get around faster than cars do. they can't jump the lights or go on the sidewalk like me. for rural biking however it's akin to a suicide mission
Riding your bike does not produce 0kg of carbon emissions. First of all, to make your bike a factory had to use electricity and smelting processes. Also, you produce CO2 when you breathe. You breathe more than normal when you are riding a bike because you are exerting more energy.
The only way to get to the point where you are producing 0kg of CO2 would be to die. Therefore, if making CO2 is such a big deal, why not just kill yourself?
If you are going to calculate the carbon emissions do so honestly the person pedaling the bike need a lot more CO2 that the one driving the car
I will grant that the overall effect is a net reduction of CO2 but since it also eliminates the emissions of several other gaseous elements made by cars the effect is an overall WORMING of the planet

Car factory vs. bike factory.... car factory emits more co2.
Breathing heavily vs. Breathing normal+ exhaust pipe. ... Car emits more CO2.
There can really be no discussion here. I still drive though, screw biking, that's just inconvenient.

I'll stick with my Cherokee Jeep as it's faster than a silly bike and I don't have to move my legs much.

What are you talking about? "Need a lot more CO2 that the one driving the car"?
I don't think you know what you are talking about. Well...I'm almost sure you don't.
