  • You have to be selfish to think that they don't exist as it is a possibility. They didn't have hoaxes in ancient times. We find new interesting creepy creatures everyday. It's idiotic. Have you ever been inside of this lake and conducted a search like they did? So how do you know?

  • asian elephant maybe i think idk looks like a elepahnt too me!!!!!!!!!

  • miss this show

  • elephant migration.

  • hmmmm... large tail... moves in an up and down motion... humps along its back.... big as fuck... perhaps its a.... HUMPBACK WHALE!!!

  • Sturgeon

  • this 1st piece of footage is elephant swimming with just the top back of head

breaking the surface . known animal.

  • cant they just chunk a submarine in there and look for all these lake monsters?

  • @PkkFreedomFighter first it's not wan, it's van. And second van is turkish city!!

  • mom?

  • a turkish Loch Ness. Give me my 5 minutes back.

  • I think that 'beak' is its but, its swiming the oposet way the beak thing is facing. it must

    be a squid.

  • squid

  • that's a pokemon.....GO GYRADOS!

  • We're finding species of animals thought to have been extinct every year. The coelacanth, an ocean fish thought to have died out 65 million years ago was found just recently. Nessie, Champ, and this creature may be pliosaurus, thought to be extinct since the dinosaurs. Bigfoot, and the yeti are thought to be gigantopithecus blacki, a giant ape that supposedly died out a million years ago. If the coelacanth was found alive, why not the other creatures of "myth". It's not a squid or an elephant.

  • I'm pretty sure elephants breath air, so if this is an elephant why is it not holding it's trunk out of the water to breath? Also, where are it's large flopping ears? If it's a squid of that size what is it doiing hanging out on the surface like an air breathing animal?

  • elephant

  • at the end, i know what that is, its a squid

  • Meh, probably lady gaga going for a dip...

  • its an elephant crossing the lake

  • fishnet + elephant = lake monster? lol

  • it's not a monster...it's a dragon

  • the largest fish it has to eat is 8 inches long! how could it survive on those?

  • 30 second advert? really?

  • looks like an elephant on 4:36

  • @billy2k5 but its not,it needs a trunk to breath

  • just a elaborate hoax designed to prop up tourism in the area.

  • @holtrax2009 If it is that's pretty darn elaborate...

  • It looks like the top pf the head, showing the eye, of an elephant. With no background details to ensure it was filmed at the lake, this could so easily have been filmed at some zoo or in another country.

  • Monsters are real they are not fantasy i am from Turkey and i watchednewsit says Turkish Lake Monster eated a Person

  • would be interesting to get some determind scientists to scan the whole lake. Obviously requiring alot of teams... but still.... Be very interesting to know ancient creatures like this still exist!

  • I don't know what is filmed, but it REALLY looks to me like an Elephant ... elephants love water and, when almost submerged, look very like this image ... now I don't know if there is a local zoo ... or if the famous image was filmed elsewhere ....

  • this sounds and looks a bit like the loch ness monster?

besides they look like dinosaurs i guess dinosaurs aren't extinct then...

  • I am Turkish. And things eyewitnesses say and translation of what they say does not match :)

  • salty lake? similar to the ocean... not unreasonable to believe some sort of ocean creature made its way into there a long time ago

  • Isn't that very very clearly an elephant?

  • @paraconti yes...

  • Why is everyone saying it's an elephant? There are no elephants in Turkey except in zoos.

  • @josephchar Lolllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

  • Sturgeon.

  • bareing in mind turkey is well known for its opium and heroin trade im not guna beleive they eyewitness accounts as they were most likely high on the stuff and were just hallucinating

  • @MrSpliff2K9 yea the video camera is hallucinating too...dumbest comment of the day goes tooooo......you.

  • @Shrangrala1 it aint a monster they hallucnating seeing something in the water so they video something that looks like a elephant or something.... so technically speaking it isnt a dumb comment

  • Comment removed

  • It is a elephant you idiot

  • lol

  • @thuinahmedyousuf is your sister Lollllll

  • Oh ..... cmmon !

  • 4:32 looks like an elephant head

  • Its not an elephant.. Elephants, when they swim, have their long trunks poking out of the water surface and if you look at the clip very closely you'll see that the object/creature is rising out of the water. Elephants float and they don't dive down in salty water. I don't think anyone or anything would dive into salt water.

  • that was totally a freaking elephant

  • @florence884 no elephant dont stay in the water that long, he would have drowned plus they cant swim very long in deep waer...

  • mmhh maybe, under water life is 5 percent explored, it´s not much and whats with the rest of 95 percent ? dont know the sea is to big and to deep.

  • 2:19 maebey thats poop, that some fatass took his crap on the lake xD

  • ok lets stop smokin shit guys...

  • looks more like a drowning elephant to me ...

  • well if the monster likes that spot so much, someone should place a underwater camera there year round.

  • I've heard speculation that the Lake Van monster is a Mosasaur, the biggest problem with that theory is they were fish eaters, something Lake Van is pretty short on.

  • I would be so happy to beleive, but we are now so sophisticated ! So we can't be totaly convinced....

  • It's obviously some sort of El Chupacabra!!!

  • thats a god damn elephant lol hahahahaha

  • @oklukirpi85 Really? Aren't you just f*cking with us, dude? How could peoble hide underwater for a long while with a figure of a monster?

  • it's proven that it's fake. They found the fake monster hidden in inside bushes...

  • what is amazing is bubbles that comes out of the water where its nostrils would be

  • @Nickmorama you idiot in Turkey there are no elephants

  • @samilsam are u sure? cuz that 4:31 looks alot like a fuckin elephant

  • @BennyTheDirector it is fake and always was fake. There is no any monster in that lake. And there is no elephant in my country (Turkiye)

  • finally i can tell that is one from the angle

  • Much as I like to think of the possibilities; the first thing of footage is fake. Check out how slow it moves, how close to the shore where he's filming; and above all, check out the bubbles coming from the air hose inflating it. Let's be honest: since when do aquatic creatures raise their eyes above the water? As much fun as it would be if this were real, it ain't.

  • i didn't know the Lockness monster likes to take a vacation lol

  • For the second sighting, why is the video clip like 1.5 seconds long? It looked so fake. Probably a hoax using a diver pushing an object on the surface of the water. The movements just didn't look natural.

  • haha are you kidding

    hefalump!!!

hefalump living underwater hahaha..what a jerk!!!

  • its a hefalump!!!!!!!!!!

  • If its anything I'd hazard a guess at an ancient whale, that part of Turkey was under the Tethys ocean, it's possible a remmnant population survived

  • looks like an elephant.

  • This needs to be investigated further, one thigs for sure its not an elephant.

  • @sickstyle STFU its under investigation... READ THE DESCRIBTION. IT say "what do you think?" honestly go die of cancer you faggot

  • the animal in this frame absolutely true but i dont know whats that??

its maybe a giant squid like captured in japan sea

  • This creature is called Loxodonta Africana, also known as elephant.

  • interesting

  • 4:35 bubbles???????

  • could be true like those dinosaurs survived the ice age and lived underwater developing

  • @dustinrock123 dinosaurs were long dead, millions of years before the ice ages!

  • @lhrlyc there is a few dinosaurs still alive :p

  • 1:42 Armenian church

  • I think there is some type of lake monster that is adapted to live in fishless lakes. All reported lake monsters live in lakes with little fish...

  • They need to go under the surface in one of them wee submarine things. Or even an ROV. i mean the water's gotta be clear enough see in, unlike loch ness.

  • maybe a red nessie XD

  • looks like an elephant

  • whatever it is, it is big and that scares me enough whether it is known or not.

  • A Under water Turkey in Turkish Lake! D:

  • it looks like a giant squid or octopus because they can stay at the bottom of saltwater sea at long time.Try to compare the video with a picture of a giant octopus and you will find similarities.

  • Do not worry, I am writing from Turkey such a message is nothing ignorant always lie

  • With all the recent findings of supposed extinct sea creatures, is it so hard to believe that there are still creatures in the waters we don't know about? Seriously everyone, how much time do humans spend living in the water?

  • @Clearized lol really

  • wtf is a aaligator crocodile doing in Turkey? ahaha

  • Well guys, i am turkish and in all my childhood i used to watch news about that monster, and they were all about gossips and non-real things. This monster doesn't exist, they didn't prove anything.. Lake Van is not that big, they could search it with a searching team which includes 30 people only. They just don't want to search about it, because they know that monster doesn't exist. If they find that out, the country will lose tourists :)

  • It is a salt lake. So it's already harder for organsims to live there. And then such a huge creature manages to live there.

In my opinion just a way to give tourism a jolt...

  • looks like a large squid.

  • that could be a relative of the lochness monster .... or related species ....

    -- blue ink

  • yeah looks like an elephant that's learned to live under the water

  • there live no elephants in Turkey. i know that because i am turkish. the only place in Turkey you can see elephants is a zoo. this teacher from the Van university made a video of it and send it to some experts. but they didn't find this credible. in my opinion that video is another hoax. but they are still people who believe in this creature. however i've never seen any creature anywhere

  • where is this ?? tukey ?? serbia ??

  • the first clip of it the guy should of thrown a rock at it

  • Yes, because elephants live in Turkey and travel through and live in salt water.

    Right.

This is clearly a cryptic animal, not known to science.

  • thats an effing elephant

  • yes, because im sure there is just going to be a fucking elephant walking in the water

the only way it could be a fucking elephant in there is if it was still a remnant from the old Persian empire that was imported by the Macedonians when they took it over '

I dunno for sure but im pretty sure there are no more wild elephants there

  • if it was an elephant,, dont u think its trunk would stick out of the water so it could breath?

  • they should kill it with a rocket launcher

  • @Battery9876 Why kill it? Its still being studied. and killing it would not provide answers to other lake monsters in the world

  • i think it might be a whale lol

  • If it was an elephant, generally they use their trunk as a snorkle, and if it was an elephant, at some point swimming in a lake that size, it would have to take a breath, either out of its trunk, or its mouth... If the guy watched long enough he would have seen it was just an elephant, or concluded it was something else...

  • It looks like an Elephant but it cant because of salt water and things like that. But it does look like a monster or the head of a T-Rex. But the guy with the video camera said it disappeared when a plane flew over suggesting it was scared or didn't want to be seen. So the Teacher assistant can't of filmed the same creature because it was fine when the boat and him was there.

  • it can't be a t-rex cause the head structure is smaller than of a real t-rex skull

  • they are know for there swimming on the andaman islands

  • elephants can and do swim in salt water they are known to swim from one island to another in search of food look it up i would send the link

  • that thing can be anything even fake :P

  • Lol how cant T-Rex live in Water they are to large to know how to swim trust me i know a loot about mythical creatures and dinosaurus.

  • I say its a tyrannosaurus rex

  • well that isnt an elephant, first of all, elephants dotn drink salt water, second, you can see bubbles were the creatures nose wuld be.. liek fi he was breathing.

  • how ironic is that the person studies this actually saw it.. nevertheless, this creature aint impossible like many..

  • i sort of think its a elaphant but then it wouldnt be that long and elaphants wont be in swim in salt water and i dont think elaphants live in tukey or maybe the elaphant was from the zoo and the zoo keepers let the elaphant to swim a while oe something but i think its a monster

  • lol the ratings has element 115 xD

  • i don't think there are elephant in turkey...why can't we all accept the fact that is something we never seen?

    That animals are huge!

    Look on animal planet.

You will learn everything about them.

    Greets

  • its a doogon (sea cow) who eat vegitaion and can live in salty wter

  • arnt sea cows manitees

  • yh but i forgot the name of the mainties

  • maybe its a mammoth...xD

  • i can't remember a brownish elephant. right behind the eye you can see a hole. it's ear-canal ? if elephant you must see ears. but only aquatic living beings have no ears - only the canal. and it goes behind the skull thinner and thinner... so it can't be elephant.

  • elephant? come on folks. looks the head exactly. right behind the head it goes smaller and smaller, as the body will turn into some aquatic tail.

an elephant isn't built that way. he have a big neck and isn't brown !

  • How would it feed on fish if "the lake is so salty very few fish can survive"?

  • They said it might be a herbivor also and there was plenty of vegetation around and in the lake.

  • is that a lake!! holy shit its enormous

  • ı from turkey this is VAN in turkey elephants and hippo doesn't live in Turkey ...

  • im indain and i just came back fom india and last time i checked elephants dont swim backward and india waters are not the blue there tan brown

  • that did NOT look like an elephant.

that looks like a lake monster.

    awesome footage

  • look at videos of elephants in the water...they almost NEVER have there trunch submerged as thats how the breath when swimming

  • elephants only live in africa and india

  • elephants never swim for long without there trunck in the air...you would have seen this in the video...its not an elephant...not to mention elephants are very wide and you would have seen the backside come much more out of the water

  • I would like to believe it is a sea monster but hell, it's a fucking elephant!

  • its an elephant

  • an elephnt, in the middle of a damn lake, not likely

  • so...you think that elephants live in turkey? elephants live only in africa and india they do not live in turkey

  • and how do you really know for sure that this video was really taken in turkey and not in africa or india?

  • ur an elephant -_-

  • your a hippo

  • Ima badger...

  • well im a pikachu lol

  • Claramente, es un elefante.

  • The voiceover guy's voice makes me want to watch him get bum raped.

  • It does look like an elephant, but there are no elephants in Turkey.

  • I loved this show as a kid.

    Hell, I still do.

  • It's our George, he was avin a swim in Turkey that year!!
