I still shake my head when I think that Howard was in Government for 11 years. People keep banging on about surpluses under Howard as a good thing. It's not much use having the money if you don't use it to strengthen the country. He just handed out a pittance in tax breaks leading up to each election to buy off the gullible and used fear to maintain offiice.

It is easy to borrow billions and throw money at all sorts of social welfare programs and then call yourself progressive. It is easy to make apologies then do nothing, and it is easier to blame the countries woes on the last political party that was in power.
Australians have been sold out over the last thirty years by both sides of politics to the new world order.
