Here's the story from my perspective : a girl named ren (or lin, whatevdr floats your boat) is so sick of her life as it is, and she wants to just end it. so she jumps into a nuclzear reactor. she counts down the time until she dies. but when she reaches the end, her body splits into to different people (the kagamine twins that we know and love) . and i couldbe completey wrong, so dont be a butt chicken and say "thats not what happened at all blah bluh blur " this is just my own view.

I think it's about Rin has a dream where she strangles everyone she loves, and everyone is disappearing around her. She wakes up, and she's afraid it might actually happen. Unabled to fall asleep, she counts down the seconds until she has a "Meltdown" or in this case, commits suicide. Rin believes that if she falls into the reactor, she can go to the world of pure white and where she'll never hurt her loved ones. I might be wrong but that's my opinion :3
