Hey i have a question i know you put 512mb nvidia geforce 9300m gs so is that like it's discrete amound of memory or highest support, because i have it and my sticker says 256mb but in the info of it it says it "supports 512" so is yours different or the same as mine?

Heh, I went through whole GTA IV using my ASUS F3Sg with even worst graphic card - 9300m G. 5-15 fps but I was tough as old boots. :) Now I'm going to buy Samsung RF511 with Geforce 540m and play GTA again.

for example f1 2010 and everything is on low

assasin's creed 2 too and ppl with pc's not laptops with worse specifications run those games ok

the minimum requirements for this game is 256 mb graphics, you have got 512 mb still it lags or is it the problem of the video

@GamingVideoGameplay Actually, theirs a script that makes the game run in safemode, which makes it its TRUE lowest settings. Look for it, gave me 30fps at day and 25fps at night.

If you have like pentium 4 with 9800gt.... ur comp will be bottle neck which the GPU card not run optimally 100% cuz the processor is low end proc.... so u must make it balance..... if want get 9800gt... use core 2 quad .... if u have 9400gt... use dual core or core 2 duo

Then how about getting an AMD rig and an HD5770, i mean.. I play GTA IV on my PC average of 62FPS without fraps and 48FPS with fraps (HD5770 and AMD Phenom II Quad Core). I think you got the wrong equipment for your rig (also 6GB o RAM).

I have a laptop, with the 9600m gt and i play GTA4 30-35FPS stable so why spending so much money on a PC which you can only play in your bedroom. Not going to change my laptop in the next 2-3 years!!!

I was averaging around 25fps. I think its better if you use a command line. It decreases the graphics, but you get 40-60fps.

Extreme gaming laptop? Lol, but you are right, for $510 is good enough. Laptops are not the best choice for gaming. You are luck, here in Brazil, the best price is around $2300 reais, about 1352 in dólar. =/

I'm running this game at 800x600 reso with textures set to High and everything else to Low/off and view distance & the other stuff does not exceed over 10. Definitions are on. I can play this game with 20 fps on this 600 dollar Asus laptop. The trick is to change your monitor reso to 800x600, visual effecs change for best performance, game booster isntalled and switched to gaming mode  before you run the game. Then when you have gta 4 running change the aspect ratio to 4:3.

I am playing on 800 X 600 Resolution & I think vary between low & high. and view distance like 15.

won't be able to tell you exactly because i installed the new patch and it screwed up the game so i have to reinstall it, but should be something like this (just off the top of my head). Resolution: 800 X 600 Texture Quality: 15 Something Quality: 100 Something Quality: 100 Shadow Density: 1 Then like: Low High Medium varying settings. P.S, my card is overclock to 600Mhz Clock speed which is 350Mhz more than it was before, try overclocking, then doing the settings.
