Wow, my XL should be ariving any day now. Have to say this is the best sounding demo I've heard so far. My first Moog, wanted to hear what all the hype was about and got a great deal. Cant wait ! I want it now!
@jizzmaster2000 Yep, I know that feeling, I couldn't wait till mine arrived, I have a video of me unpacking mine...that was a day I won't forget. You will enjoy the XL. Forget about the fact it plays one note, they all do/did apart from the obvious poly versions quite a few years ago. The sounds you can get from the XL won't disappoint. Its all about what you want out of the Moog. Enjoy it!!! Thanks for the kind words. I have subscribed
@TonartAM Hey - Thanks Mick - Finally decided to wait for the Video to render this time and spent some time putting my own images on here :-) Thanks for the comment matey - Best Regards Andy
I love the sequencer on the MC505 and I use it to drive my Novation Nova 2 synth. Some times you need a proper dedicated synth for those rich bass sounds, the 505 doesn't quite deliver on that score. Would love that Moog though !!!
@neonelectro hehehehe, ahh the sound that drives me insane, the Roland MC505 and its later siblings are awesome tools and have that sequencer and rhythm section, which can be tricky to work with, but like most things - reading the manual and looking round on YT often helps. The Voyager XL never ceases to amaze me with its fat ass sounds and can equally produce some softer and sweet sounds. Great Leads too.
@MrRidgebackman Yes it was looking round here and reading the manual extensively mean't I now know the 505 inside out. Took me about a month of experimenting to learn it properly. Once you get to grips with the structure it is actually fairly straight forward.... ish !.... I know some people don't have the patience to learn it's architecture, but it is hugely rewarding once you do. Still want that Moog though...
Hey Andy, great moog sound :-)))
