Eu acho que o fado é um choro, mesmo quando a letra nao é triste a musica é sempre.

Na voz das fadistas ha sempre esta saudade, esta força na tristesa. Quando ouvimos fado nao nos apetece dançar ou o que for... É uma musica que nos acorda ou revela a saudade e melancolia que temos no fundo da alma. É uma musica magnifica na sua carga emotiva, é isto que a diferencie de uma musica folklorica.
