answer to that question is that I have done my own recovery test on the same object using the 250 garret and the distintion between both objects is the same distance apart as the xp also I would like to mention on full power it picks up a 5 pence at a distance of eight inches air test compared to a video on xp when the guy in the vid changes the chip from a v3 to v4 and does an air test which he picks up a 5 pence at 6 and three quarters.
What you get in air has little relationship with what you get in the ground.
The test you have seen with XP Goldmaxx Power was the same distance for all machines involved, what you didn't see was that the Goldmaxx can also pick the coin up alot closer, the videos were comparing like for like but didn't go on to show full potential
quiet impressed with the recovery speed and test bed, however try the same test with a ace 250 and it performs just as well if not better and and cheaper.
Whilst the Ace 250 & indeed the 150 are both excellent machines they are both low frequency units, the higher frequency units such as the Goldmaxx are quite alot faster in terms of recovery speed.
This is the best metal detector i have ever used. My old explorer se, is just collecting dust now. My only regret must be that i never bought this detector a long time ago.
Moonlab detectors does not find these tiny hammered coins, so all of my fields are just like new hunting fields.
goldmaxx power is brilliant machine ive only had mine 3 weeks and ive managed to pull up 3 hammered coins. I seriously do not regret buying this detector. Id advise people to buy this machine if there looking for a new detector
RIP John. Terrible loss to us all.

Looks like the goldmaxx does a better job then the minelab explorer ?!
If you look at the recovery speed test...
With the minelab i would miss the coin, with the goldmaxx i think i would find the coin..
