haha, well i think i've got it figured out at least...I was thinking, "my inside is outside" translates into the two kids. They're Fran's feelings of frustration and anger within him, appearing OUTSIDE of himself.

He's fighting with the kids the whole time cuz his insides are telling him he must write and send this letter to this person, but his conscience is fighting it.But then in the end, he finally gives in, and gives the girl the letter, and she runs off to deliver it. So in the end, basically Fran finally decided to give into his gut and do what he felt he needed to do but had been fighting. What do you think of that theory? :)
