It catches whatever your satellite/cable receiver catches. Basically, you have control over your home TV.
It only works on WiFi for right now but it is worth it for sure.

You can use it over 3G. I used the jailbreak and got the tricker 3G app from Cydia and it works great. Screw att and their restrictions.
