if someone were beating my child, I'd want them to be stopped. either by being physically removed, or I guess tasered. A gun shot is obviously dangerous and deadly, I don't like excess force but I'd rather the taser than a bullet. and if the boy really tried to attach the other student again after the first one, then he was raging and not in control enough to use reason to avoid pain/punishment, so in that case I'd see the second use of the taser.

I think what the cop did was right. I don't know how the state law goes there, but if the cop had just ran up and separated the two, there's no telling for certain what might have happened next. So what you do is search more in depth articles, & there you find administrators talking about multiple efforts to pry him off of his victim. THEN the officer gave the verbal commands.

I think what the cop did was right. I don't know how the state law goes there, but if the cop had just ran up and separated the two, there's no telling for certain what might have happened next. I'm guessing a lawsuit. I think its best for the cops to use verbal commands first. Then raise the punishment by using other means to get the assailant to comply.
