The carp dance is about the carp jumping over the Dragon gate and transforming into a dragon. If you look at this video you can see the one dragon carp, this is the carp halfway into becoming a dragon god. I wish I could find more of this carp dance on you tube. It is performed in Malaysia & Singapore according to the folk tale. It is also about taking the government exams in the old days when only a few would pass. If anyone has more carp videos please post them.
