I don't know guys, but I'm getting the feeling that Valve isn't putting in much effort into finishing this episode.... Do you remember, how much hype was resonating around HL2 before it was released? Meantime even Doom3 was released faster (they were slow too but still) As I see: since Left 4 Dead 2 was not hard to release after L4D shortly, and we even see more news about Portal 2... it's not fair that Ep3 was left behind.

According to the Half Life instruction manual, Gordon was agreed to work at Black Mesa in 200X, and 20 years after the incident (in 202X) Gordon was brought back from his stasis by the G-Man. We know this was 20 years later thanks to the 'the story so far' article on the Episode One official website. Then a few years after 202X Portal 1 took place (according to a podcast from Valve). I hope I made it clear this time. :)
@Niqulai I think in Half Life 3 (If there is going to be one) Gordon should go back to the ruins of Black Mesa to retrieve the crystal that caused the resonance cascade as the only way to "reverse" the portal storms and tunnels is to do a "reverse" effect on the exact crystal that caused it. The saga started in that chamber, and it should end there.
The re rumors out there that Episode 3 will never come out, because they are working on a Half Life 3. That means we will not see a Half Life anywhere near 2012, trust me, i'm a HL fan and when they will have something even whit a release date, you will see it maybe after after 2 maybe one year after it is announced. Valve suck from this point of view.

@PugsandRugs I looked it up in the Half Life Wikia, and it says that in 202X, the event of Half Life occur, and that Portal takes place "a few years after 202X". This was said during a special podcast on GameInformer.
Still, Portal 2 is said to take place "hundreds of years" after Portal.
No offence, but I actually looked it up. :)

@PugsandRugs Sorry, I wrote it down wrong. According to the Half Life instruction manual, Gordon was agreed to work at Black Mesa in 200X, and 20 years after the incident (in 202X) Gordon was brought back from his stasis by the G-Man. We know this was 20 years later thanks to the 'the story so far' article on the Episode One official website. Then a few years after 202X Portal 1 took place (according to a podcast from Valve). I hope I made it clear this time. :)

I believe there's going to be EP 3 and also HL 3. I think Gordon would get stuck in Xen after destroying Borealis or something else. Just a theory.

@Niqulai I think in Half Life 3 (If there is going to be one) Gordon should go back to the ruins of Black Mesa to retrieve the crystal that caused the resonance cascade as the only way to "reverse" the portal storms and tunnels is to do a "reverse" effect on the exact crystal that caused it. The saga started in that chamber, and it should end there.

The re rumors out there that Episode 3 will never come out, because they are working on a Half Life 3. That means we will not see a Half Life anywhere near 2012, trust me, i'm a HL fan and when they will have something even whit a release date, you will see it maybe after after 2 maybe one year after it is announced. Valve suck from this point of view.

you couldn't meet cell, she's dead. Or maybe you ment meeting her when she was just a child, before she was brought to the "bring-your-daughter-to-work day". But the portal gun is a more plausable theory.
I liked theory 10 but that would break the linyer style of hl2 and eliminating the possibility that there might be a hl2ep4.

@Mcskill well actualy it was never said that she was dead nor was their any video evidence that she is either. at the end of portal you fly through the ceiling with glados and all that stuff but when you land on the surface she can still see wich if anything means she was alive now it may seem like she dies then and there but to me it seems she simply looses consciousness falling into a sleep so we dont realy know if shes dead or not

End Of the Half life 2 Series not the Half life series.There are alot of characters that are left off like Adrian Shepard, Gina Cross and Probably they'll make a Blue shift 2 where you play as Barney during the Pre- Half life 2 Era and during the time he was absent during Episode 2

I would like a new blue shift but much longer than the original blue shift, I think Shepard will return in hl3 because valve has said the hl2 series will be a trilogy of episodes. I also think Chell or the character you play as in Portal Prelude that survives at the end.
