  • i didnt see any curtains

  • This was terrific !! You have done a great job ! Re creating the feeling of being in a professional cinema ! Thanks

  • Great system, it's the most accurate I've seen.

  • Also. I'd like to see a system where the screen height stays the same, and instead side masking opens to 2:35 making the screen actually wider! As is the method used in most commercial theaters.

  • This is cool. I'm thinking about building something just like this. You had mentioned that you are using a PIC. What langauge are you programming it with? And also, where'd you get your curtain control motors for both the masking and the main drape?

  • The only problem with the home its not original! Video only works in the virtual cinema horizontal and vertical. So what would Brainstorm look like if it as to widen out for all the POV scope shots and then back to W/S.

Its really depressing that home is non-profit margin and yet silly asking prices for this technology and its a far cry from original cinema

  • Now that is nice device for screen masking my only question is? Is it affordable is it under the £200 mark for the controller and motors?

  • Its very impressive. I think if you could rig this device like say your controller then a receiver connected to the screen and curtains or even make a cutain motor silet running built into it run it wirelessly like by radio waves or like wifi it would be great for positioning purposes easily concealable for many theater room variations.

  • I'm gonna be making a motorised masking piece set for my DIY projector that only costs a few £, (using small motors & rack & pinion sets). Masking the light from the projector costs less than huge curtains & motors with complex circuits.

  • This is really cool and I'm so jealous, but what about older movies (or anything) in the 1:33 ratio? Do you have masking that closes in from the sides to give you 1:33?

  • Awesome Theater. Cool gadget! Dios eh? How about a Rabbit?
