  • At :27, she says "I am so honored to join with you as your Governor..." Then why did she quit the job before her term was up? Here's why -- it was more important after LOSING the election to write a crappy book, go on a national book tour, make millions, and then buy that multi-million dollar in Arizona a couple months ago.

  • @fhood Look up the reason why she had to leave office, rather than just speculate. This is how rumors and lies are perpetuated.

  • Thanks for posting this -- I was there, but it's so nice to have this saved to my favorites for the memory!

  • seriously people my husband deployed with this shitty unit and i was there for that boring ass speech ( i was born and raised in alaska) and the bitch said hooyah she embarrasses me....its hooah

  • THE GREAT NIGGER WANTS THE UNITED StATES TO DIE

  • You're the one who should be blown up for saying that.

    Fuck you.

  • blah blah blah please get Obama up there

    !!!

  • any fun men in here?

  • That's the 25ID on the podium. What are they doing in Alaska? Any one know why? I was a light fighter (1/25) - odd for "Tropic Lighting" to be there.

  • if that's the unit that's in Korea then they created some kind of detachment of the unit from Korea and sent them to Alaska because they were experimenting with having a avim and avum units with in the same company instead of having them as separate companies. Don't hold me to it I thou I was on my way out of the Army when they did it back in 05

  • These anti Palin comments and extremely negative barbs for republicans make me truly embarrassed to be a possible supporter of Obama/Biden. Please...do the party a favor and be quiet! Opinions are one thing, but nasty mean-spirited "off the wall" comments makes all democrats and the left look like a gathering of all the "nuts" on planet earth.

  • lol palin

  • OMG people, wake up! Shes so wrong. Vote Obama/Biden. Do your country a favor.

  • yeah for state issues like riots, wildfires, natural diasters. So to say she the commander in chief of the AKNG is an reach when it comes to the war on TERROR in the middle east.

  • Actually she has a lot of NG items NOT found in other NG units because the ANG is in Proximatey to Two othe Countries Canada (nominally Friendly) and Russia (Aggressivelt anti-US) Also Alaska is on the Flight path for any Ballistic Missiles from North Korea, China and others... Alaska though not highly of IS on the Front lines. Think on that.

Sarah Palin is the CinC of the Alaska NG.

  • thanks for the video

she's going to make a great VP

  • Go watch that documentary and realize it's NOT an anomaly and think for a moment of what would happen if it turned out all of what you THINK you know is based on compounding element upon element upon a total fabrication.

  • .....sheeze,.....two more who "think" she's running for President.....

Or is that their way of saying "Death to McCain"?

  • She will be a great 45th president. I can't wait!!!

  • i guess she's in charge of sending them to iraq too.

  • The governor is the commander in chief of the Alaskan National Guard.

  • You guys keep saying that but she never commanded them.

As far as her being a governor being "proof" that she'd made a "good President because of Executive Experience",....Bush was a Governor too...

  • Of course she commanded the Alaska guard. She's in charge of their budget, procurement, and deploying them during cases of emergencies. They were recently used in Louisiana during Hurricane Gustav.

Clinton, Reagan, Carter and Bush were governors.

  • Palin never "commanded" Alaska's National Guard and that's comes from Major General Craig Campbell. Filling a request is NOT the same as "commanding".

  • Major General Craig Campbell did not and could not decide to send Alaskan air support down to Louisiana during hurricane Gustav. That COMMAND can only come from the Commander and Chief of the Alaskan National Guard. That would be Sarah Palin

  • What part of "filling out a request" didn't you understand?

You guys make it sound like she's leading a charge up the hill with the flag. Why don't you go look at the picture of her with a gun again so you can feel safe as you cower under your bed from the terrorists that are all around you.

  • "Filling out a request" is ultra-simplistic.

As Commander in chief, she decides if they have the money, the power and the interest in doing something like sending aid to Louisiana.

Personally, I'm just happy Palin knows how to fire a weapon. I doubt Obama or Biden has a clue.

  • You act like that takes brains.

Oh wait,....yer a Republican,....you don't care if the President has brains....

  • And that's the level of discourse that's going to lose the White House for Democrats. Again.

Faced with facts you people just fall apart.

  • "facts"????

Excuse me,.....have you been listening to McCain and Palin????

They put out so many lies that even Karl Rove said they've gone too far.

  • I've followed the campaign very closely. The sex education bill will hurt Obama and rightfully so.

The pro-abortion stance will also hurt Obama.

  • Oh sure,...you "pro-life" types are also "pro-war" and you don't even see the contradiction.

  • As a former Marine and war correspondent reporting from both Iraq and Afghanistan, I have never been "pro-war" and have never met a serviceman or woman who was "pro-war".

    I am, however, very pro-defense.

  • If you're pro-defense then you know how important it is to repair our relationships with our allies.

They don't want McCain or Palin or even Republicans.

  • You mean the allies who are currently in Afghanistan and refuse to fight? Those allies?

Check out my webpage on here and see me as one of the French-speaking panelists. I'm quite aware of the world view of the US.

  • ho are we fighting though?

The Americans recently in Azizabad slaughtered 90 civilians including 70 children in their sleep.

First they tried to say they got a couple of al Qaeda guys. That didn't work.

The Pentagon then thought they were covered on that one with Ollie North refuting the story as an "independent journalist".

    That didn't work either.

  • In Afghanistan, we're fighting al-Qaida and what remains of the Taliban.

al-Qaida has been decimated in Iraq and roughly 20,000 members have been killed according to reports. That's hardly "a few guys"

  • Way to go spreading propaganda on Fox. You must be very paid.

  • Spitfire: you're going to have to find something solid to criticize Palin, your emotional outbursts are neither credible nor convincing.

  • Maybe I should lie. That's the route the McCain/Palin ticket took.

  • Get a little more specific. It's too easy to criticize when you're only using your imagination as proof.

  • damn showershoe u got to disagree w/ every1. my grandfather is a democrat and he sees though obama the terriost. alot of the lil fuckers that we r fightin in iraq have names like obama. shouldnt that tell u something??? but thats just me.

  • BTW: If you guys like a leader who can fire a gun then maybe you could have Palin stand on a balcony with a really big rifle and fire it in the air.

Oh wait,....that would be ripping off Saddam's bit....

  • I'd rather Palin fired the gun at our enemies.

  • Okay, let's draft her ass.

  • Thank God there is no draft, but I believe Palin has already volunteered.

  • If we had a draft this stupid war would be over.

This is like "the war on drugs".

It'll never end. Not as long as Republicans can play the war card in elections.

  • I can assure, the volunteers who joined to fight in Iraq do not consider this a "stupid war", but fight for your right to opine as you wish.

  • How many times do I have to say they are NOT fighting for our freedom?

  • That's your opinion, but I don't think even al-Qaida agrees with you there.

  • I already said al Qaeda doesn't even EXIST. We're fighting a phantom enemy.

  • Ok, I believe you're the first person I've "met" who claims al-Qaida doesn't exist.

    Good luck with that.

  • You don't get out much, do you.

Google "The Power of Nightmares Part 3"

  • Me "get out much"? No, I've been too busy traveling to Iraq, Kuwait, Germany, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Jordan and Spain.

  • Yup, surrounded by people who buy into the lies.

  • Oh sure, all the foreign journalists I work with in France are completely on the take.

  • You know, he (SpittleFife) could be right about al Qaeda! Maybe they were Fundamental Underground Quaker Terrorists (FUQT).

All this time I thought it was Muslims (al Qaeda, Hamas, Hezbollah, Al-Jihad, Asbat al-Ansar, Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, The Palestine Islamic Jihad, Abu Sayyaf Group, etc., etc., etc.) killing unbelievers (and believers who don't believe correctly).

    Those sneaky little Quakers!

  • I suppose you want to the stupid thing and lump all of those together into "Islam" and go to war against that like a typical Fox News viewer.

  • Want to see what would happen if we did not fight the "war on drugs". Check out Northern Mexico and Columbia where drug lords run the government or kill the local population.

Afghanistan is, indeed, a drug war of sorts, but the mixture of militant Islam means that we can't ignore what's going on there.

You can bury your head in the sand all you want, that's not going to change the threat, nor will reaching a hand out to the hardcores, because they would simply cut it off.

  • Newsflash: The war on drugs is what's creating a criminal element just like prohibition created Al Capone.

As far as the "hardcore elements" have you looked at the KKK in THIS country?

  • I've traveled throughout this country and never have met a member of the KKK, but I've listened to quite a few lunatics rant.

  • I know, you were on O'Reilly.

  • McCain/Palin=Failwhale!

    Vote Obama!

  • Omg my brother was there and saw her...he leaves for Iraq on the 20th....:(

  • I hope he makes it home safe and sane.

  • As a Mom that has a son serving our country. I respect Sarah Palin for supporting her son's decision. Your freedom of slurs and degrading is courtesy of our armed forces. If you've never served our country - sacrificed your life - your opinion on this subject is empty selfish words that mean nothing. I'm thankful to our military and may God be with each and everyone of them and their families.

  • Actually our freedom is not a result of the armed forces, it's a result of a certain contract called the United States Constitution. These folks swear to protect and defend that document from enemies foreign and domestic. If they followed that oath to the letter, they would be marching to the White House to arrest Bush and Cheney.

Face facts: Not all missions are God's Will, to protect Freedom, or to fight Evil. Some missions are cooked up by old men playing a global chess game.

  • And those little pieces of paper called the Constitution was a result of the ...what??? what??? Revolutionary WAR? ARMED FORCES! I'm not going to sit here and argue with you. I'm just a mother that respects Sarah Palin because she believes in her son and supports his decision to serve the USA in the military. If we didn't have brave men and women serving our country we would not have the freedom we have and we would be living in terror such as 9/11. Sleep good tonight. I'll say a pray for you.

  • After the war the actual CREATION of the "United States of America" was from another piece of paper called "The Treaty of Paris".

The Constitution came later. There were some who wanted to make George Washington a King.

We are told that our freedom is being defended but they said that about Vietnam. Then there's the "follow us home" crap. They could attack NOW. We aren't "keeping them pinned down in Iraq".

The "cause" in Iraq is based on lies.

  • the leftie libs on this thread are really in a melt-down.....

what a bunch of spiritless yellow cowards you all sound like.

    McCain/Palin '08

  • Oh yeah? I'll tell you what, you take all your conservative buddies and build a barricade on one side of the street and I'll do the same with some Teamsters on the other side of the street, we'll start up a nice roaring tire fire in the middle of the street and test that last comment.

  • definite leftie melt-down

  • No, just tired of you Thugs still acting like you're superior when you have been proven wrong about EVERYTHING.

  • BTW: I would define a "meltdown" as someone who feels the urge to slam that same comment into someone's profile too.

Funny after all that's happened to prove the Right to be WRONG it's still considered to be standard practice for Dittoheads to feel the urge to "expose" Liberals. I guess we should be made to wear a patch on our clothes....

  • for god's sake, spitfire - calm down.

i thought that my "meltdown continues" comment was going to this thread = it was a mistake - don't get so paranoid

  • I'm not being "paranoid" I'm laughing at you.

  • You just don't know when to SHUT THE HELL UP, do you. Splitfuro'fatty, You are a Flamer that get's off on Spitting out the SAME Crap, Again and again. SHUT UP and Get a Clue.

  • Yer a real Einstein to figure out that I'm experienced at flaming. Wow,....I guess you figured a Liberal would be too weak for that....

  • Gov. Sarah Palin linked the war in Iraq with the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, telling an Iraq-bound brigade of soldiers that included her son that they would defend the innocent from the enemies who planned and carried out and rejoiced in the death of thousands of Americans.

The idea that the Iraqi government under Saddam Hussein helped al-Qaeda plan the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

  • She said no such thing. You are being silly now.

She has you guys so freaked out you are rewriting her own speeches now.

  • News Flash: Saddam's regime was removed from power back in April of 2003.

Since you apparently missed that part of the war, here is a recap: It took the US led coalition three weeks to remove Hussein's regime from power, mission accomplished. In case youre unfamiliar with the word "mission": an operational task, usually assigned by a higher headquarters (i.e. a mission to bomb a bridge). To put that accomplishment in perspective, Iraq and Iran fought each other for a decade and got nowhere.

  • Now that you're up to speed, you'll understand that our troops are now in Iraq to continue destroying an insurgency, of which al Qaeda in Iraq is a major part. So, al Qaeda terrorists are the "enemies who planned and carried out and rejoiced in the death of thousands of Americans". Even though al Qaeda in Iraq is seriously depleted, and on the run, we still need to "defend the innocent" from them.

  • I bet it never even occurred to you that all that talk of "al Qaeda in Iraq" might be a lie.

After all, these are the folks that sold us on WMDs.

    Look up PNAC.

  • It's a well known fact that al-Qaida operated out of Iraq. Zarqawi was their commander, he was killed in 2006, but sought care in Baghdad due to the wounds he received in battle in Afghanistan.

  • And it never occurred to you that all of that is just more propaganda.

You know, there was a time when the Neocons claimed the Soviet Union was behind all terrorism,....even the IRA. That was a lie too.

If this "world-wide terrorist organization" is such a reality then why is it the rest of the world isn't worried?

  • If the notion of al Qaeda being in Iraq is propaganda, then it is the propaganda of al Qaeda itself. It comes from the mouths of al Qaeda in Pakistan.

  • Actually "al Qaeda" was a term invented in a New York Courtroom by a paid informant to try bin Laden for the embassy bombings. They had to use existing US law for things like the Mafia where the leader of an organization was guilty of crimes done by members the organization. They invented the organization to satisfy the requirement but bin Laden never used the word "al Qaeda" until he realized the Americans were using it.

  • Regardless of the origin, it is the term in use, by the organization itself and all others.

  • SpitfireOFatj: I take it, by not addressing the point I made, you concede I am correct in that Gov. Palin did not link Saddam's regime with 9/11.

As far as "the folks that sold us on WMDs".

Are you talking about President Clinton, Al Gore, Sandy Berger, Madeleine Albright, Robert Einhorn, Gen. Wesley Clark, Sen. Bob Graham, Sen. Jay Rockefeller, Sen. Carl Levin, Sen. Ted Kennedy, Sen. Robert Byrd, Sen. John F. Kerry, Sen. Hillary Clinton, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Rep. Henry Waxman, those folks?

  • I see, why get educated on PNAC when you can make a funny.

  • What "funny"? I could post all the quotes from the people I listed. But you're "educated", right? So, you know all the things these people said to sell "us on WMDs", don't you? If you don't, I'll start out with Pres. Clinton: "... [I]t is incontestable that on the day I left office, there were unaccounted for stocks of biological and chemical weapons. We might have destroyed them in '98. We tried to, but we sure as heck didn't know it because we never got to go back there."

  • Clinton never INVADED. Big difference.

After he said your quote the UN passed 1441 and Sadam let the inspectors back in. They said it would only that a few weeks to verify that all of that crap Colin Powell said at the UN was a lie and that's when Bush announced we couldn't wait that long and launched the invasion.

  • Operation Firefox ring a bell? We invaded Iraq in Dec. 1998 claiming that Iraq had WMDs.

  • You Right Wingers have used that 98 targeted air strike to try to justify the slaughter of hundreds of thousands (maybe over a million) innocent civilians in a full scale invasion. It's just a way of trying to deflect blame by saying "Clinton did it too" but the world ain't buying the comparison and neither am I.

    Wanna try again?

  • Dont you just love those UN resolutions? (Useless Nincompoops?) If 11 resolutions dont do the trick, they do one to reiterate the others (Resolution 678). Whats next? How about a resolution to reiterate the reiteration of 678 (687) That is just so effective. Oil-for-Food anyone? Is Russia still on the Security Council? That would be like having Algeria, Azerbaijan, Cameroon, Cuba, China, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, and Russia on the Human Rights Council! Wouldnt THAT be a funny?

  • The main thing wrong with the UN is our lack of participation in it.

BTW: Do you hate UNICEF too?

  • And you're saying that after Pres. Clinton said that in July of 2003, the UN passed Resolution 1441 (a reiteration of how many resolutions?) in 2002? How does that work?

How about French President Jacques Chirac, in February of 2003: "There is a problem -- the probable possession of weapons of mass destruction by an uncontrollable country, Iraq. The international community is right . . . in having decided Iraq should be disarmed."

  • The key word being "disarmed". He didn't advocate and invasion and occupation that's lasted longer than WWII. You guys are spinning history like Bush spun the intelligence.

  • Cant get any more disarmed than he is now!

The German insurgency lasted about 3 years after WWII.

NY Times 1945: The German attitude toward the American occupation forces has swung from apathy... to active dislike. ...this is finding expression in the organization of numerous local anti-American organizations... and in a rapid increase in the number of attacks on American soldiers. There were more such attacks in the first week of October than in the preceding five months of the occupation...

  • The ONLY way Iraq is like WWII is if America is cast as the Nazis and Iraq is cast as Poland. Hitler claimed the Reichstag was burned by Polish Terrorists and he went in to "Liberate" the Polish people and as a bonus, it gave him access to Poland's vast coal reserves. A War for Coal instead of Oil. I know you Right Wingers believe America can do no wrong. We ONLY fight for freedom blah, blah blah...and anyone who says otherwise is "Anti-American/A Traitor/Blah, Blah Blah".

    .....sheeze.......

  • You're the one who tried to compare WWII with Iraq. And, by your comparison, you obviously needed a history lesson.

With that being said, Im going to leave you with a quote:

Any fool can criticize, condemn, and complain, and most fools do. ~ Benjamin Franklin

    Peace :-)

  • I only said this has gone on LONGER than WWII. Remember, Iraq was supposed to be EASY. We would be greeted as Liberators. You guys want to spin history to say that we SHOULD have been and that's why your side is trying to claim we are in a war against those who "hate freedom".

Tell you what, lets invade Norway next, we'll bomb their capital and kill a whole bunch of civilians and anyone who tried to fight back we will claim "hates freedom".

  • This is the same Germany where it is AGAINST the Law for a German Soldier to Wear his Uniform in Public for fear he would "insult someone" by his presence! Germany is Controlled by the Greens and Liberal Socialists. THESE are the people that APPLAUDED Barack Hussein Obama during his World Tour!

  • Then theres Sen. John Kerry, in January of 2003: "...without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime. We all know the litany of his offenses. He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation... And now he is miscalculating America's response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction..."

  • Kerry is a moron. That's why the base didn't support him.

  • Got to love this one by Sen. Jay Rockefeller in October of 2002 (yeah, this one WAS before Resolution 1441): "The global community, in the form of the United Nations, has declared repeatedly, through multiple resolutions, that the frightening prospect of a nuclear-armed Saddam cannot come to pass. But the U.N. has been unable to enforce those resolutions. We must eliminate that threat now, before it is too late."

  • Clinton Did Heaps. Without Slick Willy 9/11 may not have happened. Bill emasculated the Military and Intelligebce Agencies to save money for his Domestic Agenda. It takes YEARS to build a Good HUMINT NETWORK and too train a Good Intelligence analyst. Clinton Riffed most them. Clinton is nearly 100% responsible for 9/11.

  • I find it amazing that you guys can find out Bush was warned by about terrorism when he took office, warned by the Aug 6th PDB, sat on his ASS with children during the attacks and then hid out away from Washington until members of his own party criticized him for being a coward and you consider him to be the hero and Clinton to be the villain.

  • SpitfartzofFat,

Clinton IS a Villan. THE BUCK stops with him. But Bush was in charge when 911 happened and some responsibility is his. Some. But an Event like this was unprecedented and how do you deal with it? The PDB was not Specific, but only contained "A Danger of..". Do you know how MANY "A Danger of..." appear in the PDB?

  • You guys hated Clinton because he was smart and loved Bush because he was a (former) drunk who "found Jesus".

red5llaw: "Do you know how MANY "A Danger of..." appear in the PDB? "

Do you know how many Neocons wanted "a new Pearl Harbor"?

  • Pardon me, Spitliarofflat,I didn't vote for Bush because he was a (former) drunk who found Jesus. I found that Gore then Kerry were BOTH Assholes who didn't have clue.

so splitsliar, now you are saying the Neocon's caused 911? A HUGE stretch there, I didn't think you were a tin foil Beanie Boy...

Come on dude - Stick to the FACTS. You remember them?

  • If Gore had been President he would have at least called a damn meeting prior to 9/11. Bush told Richard Clark that he didn't want to hear about terrorism.

  • As for the PDB's & "A Danger of.." - Well do YOU think that the Forces of Terror and the US's Enemies have taken a SEVEN YEAR holiday?

Once again "I Don't Think So Tim!"

  • The fact that we haven't been hit again tells me the threat has been exaggerated. But by all means, keeps watching "24" and tell your grandkids about how terrorists were all around us.... It's just like you know the "facts" about the phony "Drug War" because you saw open warfare between Colombian Drug Lords and the cops,....on "Miami Vice"...

  • splatfireorfat,

You seem to know more about Fantasy than I do. I don't watch Television other than The History Channel & The Various News channels and Broadcast's. I'm not as enamored with the Liberal Hollywierd Crowd as you seem to be...

BUT, In real life I HAVE seen Kids Killed by Drugs and the Drug Culture and I HAVE seen the results of Terrorist Attacks.

You Splatfur, are wasting my time. Your mind is set in Concrete and (to mix metaphors) are living a "Blinkered" life. Good luck.

  • Well said red5llaw, Thank You

  • Her voice sounds like nails on a chalkboard.

  • goofyreligion3, but you ARE telling everyone else that your belief is the "only way". If you degrade someone for their beliefs (as you demeaned belief in "archaic scriptures"), you are in essence a hypocrit.

  • I am a firm believer in freedom of religion AND freedom FROM religion. I also believe that mixing religion and politics cheapens both.

  • There are many variations of various belief systems. You are now victimizing yourself and projecting on adults your hate of your parent's actions when you were a helpless child.

I was raised in a spiritual home with no fear tactics. I have experienced more conflict in the "adult world" with other belief systems whether they stem from the cultural, philosophical, political, etc... Someone pushing their religious faith on me is blown off very easily.

I think you're playing the victim.

  • i stood in that damn formation for an hour and a half

    oi

  • That must be why there's the sound of some really fussy kids in the audio.

  • Clinton had multiple opportunities to capture or kill bin Laden, but elected not to.

Warning? Really? After his DOJ created "the wall"? That singular act prevented us from stopping the terrorist plot. Jamie Gorelick, who then sat on the 9/11 Commission.

    Clinton.

  • Are you guys STILL on about "the wall" that it turns out didn't exist and the supposed "it's Clinton's fault" crap? Ever hear of the August 6th PDB? Next you'll start in about "Able Danger". What's hilarious is people like you are the ones giving Caribou Barbie a crash course on Foreign Policy before she debates Biden who is the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Policy.

And the really funny thing is you guys actually believe she's more qualified.

  • Actually, Obama mentions religion all the time. Goes out of his way to mention he is a Christian.

What American Christians find comforting is the absence of terrorists attacks on this soil since 9/11.

History will judge Bush quite favourably on that one. And Clinton won't look so good, will he?

  • You forgot about the Anthrax Attacks.

  • Some disgruntled government employee.

  • Do the words "false flag" mean anything to you?

  • I care more about a person or group's philosophical and political views. Islam is a political movement as well as a philosophical one.

Christians are weak, and they are the least of your worries. Have Christians been holding you back in your life? No. What are you missing out on? Move to San Fran or Netherlands and see if that is how you think the world should be. See if you would like to raise your children there.

  • Here's a thought, you Right Winger try leaving the country for a change.

Oh wait,....nobody in the world wants you.....

  • What about your beliefs? There are a million variations of spirituality and there are some who don't believe in anything necessarily spiritual, but their actions in life are based on their personal belief system, that is based sometimes on science. And when science doesn't have the answer (which is most of the time), their daily life and actions are based on intuition and/or subliminal belief system.

Basically YOU believe in something, whether you want to admit it or not.

  • Of course I do. I don't happen to be a Christian, but she is. And she expresses it, just as the First Amendment says she can.

When you outlaw all expression of religion, then atheism becomes the de facto state religion.

    Relax, chill

  • antimarxism: Basically YOU believe in something, whether you want to admit it or not.

I believe I'll have another beer.

  • I beleive that you are a Dick.

  • That must be why I like you,...because you suck....

  • Well, since Obama claims also to be a Christian, I guess you are pretty much screwed this November, eh?

  • She said: "You'll be there [in Iraq] to defend the innocent from the enemies who planned and carried out and rejoiced in the deaths of thousands of Americans." (Time in this video: 4:38 - 4:48)

    Oops, wrong country...

  • *yawn*...Did someone just hand her that speech..."Here, read this". So unemotional...

  • Oh, and Obama is a paragon of virtue, I suppose.

Even if he won't produce hsi birth certificate.

Even if he won't even help his own brother, who lives in squalor in Nairobi.

    Real great leadership!

  • dbzst. Sarah Palin is a walking hypocrisy. She has used her faith as an excuse to butt her nose into other people's business. Funny, how she preaches abstinence only and is dead set against any sort of birth control. And guess what her daughter ends up preggers. And you sir, dare say that we attack her too much? Her speech at the convention was all about attack! You freepers on the right have attacked Obama relentlessly for months. Mean Spirited Attacks. So, don't cry when we call her out.

  • Wow! I rest my case! Read what's on top of my comments and what's below...amazing!

  • I can't believe how the right winger freepers are so misinformed. Watching the Fixed News channel will do that to you. Jesus Freaks are you going picket Bill Maher's new movie, Religulous? What's going to happen when you guys finally realize that this whole rapture thing is just a bunch of mularkey? So is Palin who believes in this rapture crap going to want to kick start WWIII by wanting to start sh*t with Russia or Iran? Get the bodies stacked up in order to invoke Jesus to come down?

  • How is it that someone hears one thing and another person hears something else? "Christian Nut"? Because she loves her family and country?? Because she is following her Chrisitan believe? I am neither democrat or republican, but this major attack makes me wonder about Obama. Look at his followers....characters who attack and are a mean-spirited nasty lot. As a teacher, parent and independent thinker I am concerned about our country. If our country moves to the right again..no wonder!

  • What gets me is someone who acts like they just discovered there's a problem in this country.

"What? You mean that there are people who actually blame the Republicans for the war?"

I mean, what were you using your computer for before today?

  • I'm so old I remember when people used to treat their religion like they did a hole in their underwear. They kept it PRIVATE.

  • Actually the First Amendment says that no law can be made concerning religion. It DOES NOT say that a public individual in their public duties must ignore their religion or not mention it or not appealing to the God they believe it. You seem to be more interested in denying others their practice of religion than promoting religious freedom. I'm agnostic and do not have a problem with other's practicing their religion as long as they aren't trying to kill me for not believing in their god.

  • Are you referring to my comment on the First Amendment? Or some other comment?

  • I would not want to give a speech on the day I saw my child off to war! Go Bless you and your family Sarah!

  • Well, the First Amendment says, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..."

No mention of governor there, so far as I can tell.

  • The Constitution also says that no person in public office should have to pass a religious test either but I guess they consider that to be as outmoded as the stuff in the Constitution that talks about the Indians and Pirates (not the teams).

  • Is someone having to pass a religious test?

  • Spitof Fat - You really are full of Shit. Give it a rest. We get the point. You are an Obamanite and you thing the Sun shines out of his Ass. He is going to lead you to Black Paradise. Welfare Checks & Free Crack. Whilst Killing the Country.

  • Did you know the McCain Campaign is using Bush's speech writers?

That's change you can believe in.

  • Its difficult to not offend anyone when people try so hard to be offended by everything that is said. Political correctness is a social tyranny.

  • Actually, the real social tyranny is to either blindly follow or face charges that you are a traitor. Whatever happened to "Question Authority?" I bet all the Right Wingers will be questioning EVERYTHING an Obama Administration does but it's okay to trust Republicans to do the right thing because the "Holy Spirit" is upon them even when they're tapping their foot in a men's room.

  • What does any of that have to do with what I originally posted? My point is simply that people have become so eager to shout offense to anything its impossible to avoid it if you speak before the public. It doesn't matter what "Side" is speaking everything is hyper-analyzed and often attributed unintended conclusions by those covering whats spoken. Asking the Lord's protection is nothing new for ANYONE who served in the military. Yeesh.

  • Why don't you angry liberal people keep your nasty comments to yourself on this video?

There are a lot of parents, children, friends and family members who are watching this video because our soldier is in this brigade.

We don't need to hear your garbage as our loved ones are leaving to protect you.

Why not be sensitive this one time?

Sarah Palin is a mom and this day was hard on her too. Have a heart.

  • First of all, they aren't going off to protect us, they're going off to fight for a lie. Second of all, she's linking Iraq to 9/11 even though they have nothing to do with each other.

And third: Stating the truth is not a "nasty comment". She is demonstrating her grasp of foreign policy and it's obvious that she doesn't know what the hell she's talking about but that's okay because she's got "faith" that this is all part of "god's plan".

    I call that arrogance.

  • Sad you're such an angry person. Do you kick your dog?

    Enjoy life!

All that anger isn't good for anyone. Your kind of anger is what causes wars. Your type are the ones who were breaking windows and injuring delegates at the convention. Some peacemakers you are. Makes no sense.

The subject of this video is our troops and yes, they are protecting YOU whether you like to admit it or not.

Go face to face with any of those troops and spout off. I dare you.

  • I have every RIGHT to be angry. Bush lied us into a war for money and all the blood that was spilled is not just on his hands but on yours and mine as well because he represented ALL of the people of the United States when he did it.

The real question is, Why aren't YOU angry? And don't give me that crap about how the ONLY time the United States goes to war is to "protect our freedom".

  • This is about my son and the other sons and daughters represented by this video.

Can we please have our moment? Let the children of these soldiers watch this video with pride and love.

It would be appropriate for you to blog somewhere else.

    Where's your heart? Seriously.

  • My "heart" is devoted to ending this madness. Palin thinks we're on a mission from God and that those soldiers are heading off to fight Evil.

You don't see that as a problem?

    Seriously?

  • You just lied big time. Shame on you! She actually says that we should pray that they are on a mission from God. This is the only post I'll reply to as I see no future in discussing facts with stupid.

  • That's all you CAN reply with.
