the high note ending on I'm Not That Girl adds like a new emotion to the song. Instead of it being a solemn moment of realisation for Elphaba, who accepts that she won't be with Fiyero. It could be a cry of anguish, or even anger that she won't be with him. but maybe I'm reading into it too much... I DO like the original score for INTG

I don't really like the ending in "I'm Not That Girl." Too belty and powerful for a slow, "music-box" style song.

@BroadwayJonathan I'm sure Seth proposed that re-write with his tongue in his cheek. If anything, I bet he'd prefer the note remain the same as the previous. That's more typical of showtunes.

Although I don't particularly enjoy Ms. Gonzalez in the role of Elphaba, she does have a great voice and I would love to have seen her in "In the Heights" or "Aida."

@BroadwayJonathan Oh, I actually loved her as Elphaba. She was ore subtle than most, which Defying Gravity really seem like a BANG if that makes any sense. I've also seen her three times as Elphaba, lol.
