We regret to inform everyone of the passing of JR Mass, bass player in this video and brother to the chord player, Joe Jr., also playing here, on Jan. 5. Our deepest condolences to his family and brother Joe. The world has lost a true bass harmonica master.

My mom and dad loved the Harmonicats back in the day. I think they used to play at the Flamingo in S. Sioux City, Ne. I inherited all the albums they had, and I have the 78 of Peg O My Heart. I also learned the harmonica ( Honner 64) because of you guys!

Really, Jerry was a master! Who is at the chords? Who is the bass player? This trio has the same sound of the original Harmonicat with Al Fiore and Don Les.

The rhythm section is the Mass brothers, Joe Jr. on chord and JR on bass. Two of the best in the business. To emulate Al Fiore and Don Les are big shoes to fill as they are the premier masters of their instruments and Joe and JR did a fantastic job.
