@goeiecool9999 he used three video layers. the bottom was the original video, then the second layer was the cubes all rendered out, and the top layer was the original video, with chroma key effects to take out the sky.
if you have adobe premiere - on the first layer is the footage with blender and voodoo and on the second layer you have your original footage. on that second layer you use an eight, sixteen or 32 garbage matte. then you pull the top pullies to the top of the buildings
you have good command on voodoo.. can you please make a screen capture of WIP of this video? Majority of voodoo newbies are struggling as there is not much documentation and tutorials on using voodoo.. :(
How did you achieve, that moving cars in your shot were not affecting tracking of camera in Voodoo? ... I think in Voodoo you can`t mask out areas with moving objects , can you? ...
To get blocks behind building, just make a massive plain, and adjust it to the shape of the building. Then, turn on the ENV option, or the OnlyCast option depending whether you want it to recieve shadows or not.
woooow

@goeiecool9999 Yeah I guess you could say that
DarthCaniac 1 year ago
@DarthCaniac can't really key out a cloudy sky. rotoscope is more likely.

did you mask the cubes behind the building yourself, or did the tracking do most of the work?

Dinobot2468 1 year ago

You should try 3d max or maya. They are my better.

you can do everything n blender - use composite nodes and there u have a chroma key.

what program did you use to make animated 3d object stay behind those buildings?
powel5 2 years ago
@powel5 he probably put it into after effects and used the sky as a key, then layered them

nicely done, was the buildings that the cubes go behind an alpha texture?

Voodoo allows zooming when the camera is on a tripod but i think the author used manual feature tracking to help this.
Voodoo is a good software and more powerful than you believe, just need to be open source to be enhanced.
The compositing was probably made in Blender.

Yes, it was made in blender, as the title says for itself ^^

How do you get the blocks to go behind the building? Is there an extra programme required?
The zoom is post production, otherwise it would make it harder for Voodo to track the image.
Crozonexz 3 years ago
yea how the hell did it go behind the building
there is no way it modelling the whole buildin with a shadow material or did u use a polygon that somehow tracks to the edges of the building?
