@maj929 The candles are lit from your left to right. There is a good instructional video on how to do it on Chabad.org YouTube won't let me put the link here for some reason, but it's under their Chanukah video section. It shows the proper direction to add the new candles, the direction to light them, and which brachot to say on each night. Chanukah sameach!
@YoshBear Our rabbi says right to left. Both Reform and Conservative light them right to left. Maybe it;s a Chabad thing. I guess it really doesn't matte so long as you light them. Chag sameach!
@maj929 Its not a Chabad thing, Code of Jewish Law states that you always begin lighting the new one first, and continue (from left to right) to the first. Just to add a little confusion: When preparing them, you PREPARE them from right to left, but this video is correct in showing them being lit from left to right.
The candles
should be lit right to left, not left to right. I guess thoes Chabad guys didn't do as well as they thought.
