fake! look at the way the bowl jittered across the table, a magnet was obviously inside it, that was being moved by a magnet underneath the table. if it was real "telekinesis" the bowl would've moved swiftly, and likely much slower than that. even at the beggining, the bricks just dropped like nothing. so fake.
this is fake! i know whats the secret of this. i tried this before .. the secret is on the table ..inside the table have a spring and whole.. but u cannot see the whole and the spring because theres a cover.. but when you look closely after he perform you can see the rock jumping down.. because the spring a touch by the force ... and also the bottle because there's a two metal side by side then the spring pushing the bottle up and the 2metal give a strong impact to the bottle..
This guy is fake. He was later tested by a group scienists and caught cheating (remote controlled desk). The footage, with his admission of cheating, was made into an one hour special in CCTV. Honestly, I ready want to believe this is true, but it is not.

@shaolindude1 man, if u want to learn such a thing, u`ll need a master to teach u, books and videos ain`t enough... i tried more dan u, but i quit :-/
@TheMarshall92 yeah you right but it's trully awesome skills i think it takes many years of practice for even basic thing but the main thing is the benefits of health from the practice, crazy energy hides inside our bodys anyone can use her but not everybody knows about her
i don know for sure if chi is real but this particular "master" have been proven a fraud, in fact to the right video links u can find the video prove.
Although if you think hard enough i'm sure your head would explode, or at the very least smoke would come out of your ears. Overload your tiny pea brain lmfao stick to what you know..which is not much.
The world is an illusion. There is far more than what your closed off senses can perceive. Real magic would be convincing every know it all...that they only know what has been told to them. False knowledge they accept as fact. Do u really believe everything TV and the gov tells you? That is the main weakness of a technological society, tons of lies to cover the few pounds of truth. Not everything can be proven, just like not everything can be disproved.
well obviously "people" don't walk around pushing shit with their fuckin QI, if it's real, this is not your average person it takes years of meditation and connection with your inner enegry/ mind to be able to do this
Oh, and I guess kung fu masters who have gone through "years of meditation and connection with their inner energy" can also fly and shoot fireballs from their palms just like the movies and video games.
Just because you don't understand something doesn't make it impossible. For instance..do you know if radio waves are real? How do you know they are real? You only know that the internet works and not how it works. Your body is made up from energy, some in pure form, and most in a solid state. An open mind can accomplish much more than a closed mind. Without these open minded people pushing the limits of what's possible, humankind would never have achieved what was once thought impossible
Lmfao if I could i would. I'm just saying there is more than what you know. Stay in your little box and stay stupid if you like..I could care less. But no instead you'd rather tell other people what's not possible based on your limited propaganda fed education. People like you were positive earth was the center of the galaxy. Before that the earth was flat. What's next dumbass? Seeing as how I'm so smart I refuse to battle any further with someone as ill equipped as you. It's just unfair to you
I am apologizing to lennyhipp for his view on this guy. The link he has to CCTV debunking him shows exactly how he pulled it off. He had a table gimmicked in such a way that things worked through the tabletop, and without need for an assistant. ijnp(dot)magnify(dot)net/item/7M6JWJQCBCXV7XQL has it. Credit to lennyhipp for finding it. Lenny still needs work on his people skills, though. ;P
Lenn the clever thing you got it wrong its not cause its dull if you take a knive thats ment for slicing and hit it straight directly on your skin it wont cut you. as with swords , its just haveing really good dexterity to make it look real
papa- i'm not going to experiment on myself. if you can point me to a credible source for your argument, i'll add it to the pages and give you credit for the explanation. thanks.
Papa- I have confirmed your explanation for the cleaver trick as the correct one. I was wrong and will update the pages accordingly within a week. Thank you for your feedback. (without actually seeing it tested, I came to the conclusion that it wasn't sharp to begin with!)
You should never argue with someone who has already made up their mind about something. For all the believers out there, I know of an american training under this master, and he himself can do amazing things. And there are many others around the world that possess their abilities. The world just isn't ready for this shit.
<I>"When, who, and how was he proven a fraud? By you?"</I>
<B>I didn't</B> take the credit for it idiot. He was exposed on CCTV, China's largest national TV network. I gave them credit several times. The videos are nearly 43 minutes long, and a lot of it is comparing him to fairy tales and bad kung fu movies.
<I>"For all the believers out there, I know of an american training under this master, and he himself can do amazing things"</I>
itsjustnotpossible(dot)com/QiGong.html
You're going to feel pretty silly after viewing the website.
This is the first of MANY articles exposing this QiGong/chi NONSENSE and it's delusional scam artist "masters"! It's science fiction bullshit people, snap out of it!
You're going to feel pretty silly after viewing the website.</i>
Why would we feel silly after viewing the website? Because it's YOURS? And is full of YOUR so called "evidence" that exposes Qi Gong? Your website is full of speculation.
<i>I tried to give rational explanations to explain these cheap tricks: "There's CLEARLY something poking the bricks from beneath the cloth!", and "why would he have a table cloth covering the table, if he weren't hiding something?"</i>
Yeah. You TOTALLY exposed him mate. There's CLEARLY something underneath the table. Clearly.
<I>"And is full of YOUR so called "evidence" that exposes Qi Gong"</I>
No, it is full of my rationally explaining the CHEAP trickery, followed by a Chinese video exposing him for fraud. Showing the tricks, then asking him about it, and then QiGong boy trying to laugh it off with a "oh fuck! i'm caught" look on his face!
And by the way, your banner says Qi gong, chi, kiai (and other bogus martial arts). Qi gong, chi, and kiai are not martial arts. They are concepts found in martial arts. Anyway, I look forward to reading more BS from you.
<I>"Qi gong, chi, and kiai are not martial arts."</i>
Fair enough. I realize/ understand the difference, and I assumed others would too. Anyone at all interested in this BS, will know what it means. If you read the pages, I clearly spelled out the difference, and all three give "martial arts" a BAD name.
Thats very easy i can do that, you just have to train moving objects with your mind for 2 years 8 hours daily. But this guy is very brave to show this, he will die soon.
he used a form of telekinesis and his chi energy to mentaly push and pull the bricks. its very hard to do but you can learn how to form your chi energy by meditating. i am almost one with my chi. and im working on telekinesis.
2muchforme- You're suffering from the ideomotor effect. NOBODY has EVER passed double -blind testing for telekinesis, despite several million dollars in prize money. Read the comments on the "chi believe it" video.
i have to rule out magnets, the effect on the brick, maybe if they were made primary of a metalic, but the glass is glass, you can't magntise that, as for the water bowl, plastic, even if you put a magnet in it or on it, it wouldn't move as smooth as it did, would have been more choppy. This form of Chi does allow the body to resist forms of attack (throat needle and the blade) Energy passing out of the body through movement can be seen in a heat spectrogram.
all of these are CHEAP tricks. why is the table covered? so we can't see the guy under the table with the magnet pulling the bowl and poking the brick! actually if you slow the video down, you can see the brick poked. bowl has magnet in its base. you call that movement smooth!? surely you're joking! it moved like a drunk man walks! unbelievable how gullible people can be!
the table was covered with the wood so it can be less rezistance and roll, from where was man wthat was poking the brick?a and you think that the bottle is were been shooted by gun?If you dont want to believe its ok but dont try to find some ways to cover your fear of what you beleive unreal
wood causes LESS resistance than WHAT exactly?! What in this video rolled on the wood? Who said anything about a gun? The glass was shattered by someone or something under the table. It's not that i don't believe, it's pretty silly for ANYONE to believe this crap! ALL OF IT has been rationally explained if you read all the comments.
The problem with your brick theory is that it's too hard to tell if that's something underneath or bad quality. Also, what would be able to shatter the glass without piercing the table? There's no room for someone to move that bit of cloth with their hand. How would you move a tub on a piece of wood without a REALLY large, OBVIOUS magnet? . The "rational" explanations haven't attempted to explain anything besides the bricks. Try again.
roselle- Oh, it's bad quality alright, but it's not the video... it's YOUR EYES that are bad if you can't see something pushing the brick. Pause the video. It's CLEAR. And who said it DID NOT pierce the tablecloth? you can see THAT in the video that you already said was bad quality? Why the tablecloth for that matter? Why balance the car precariously on the edge?
<I>"How would you move a tub on a piece of wood without a REALLY large, OBVIOUS magnet?"</I>
Wow. You should be a stand up comic. You almost made me spit coffee all over my keyboard when i read that! <B>HELL-OOOOO!!!???!!? There's a REALLY LARGE table there hiding the REALLY LARGE magnet!
<I>"The "rational" explanations haven't attempted to explain anything besides the bricks."</I>
Put down the crack pipe and look again. Do I really need to give you gullible people more proof?
whoops. Didn't mean to write most of that in bold type! sorry folks. And i meant "jar" and not "car" for the idiots that will surely complain about that too!
Insults do not help your case at all. If a magnet that large is under the table, you'd have a hard time concealing a person under there too (thus the obvious part). The table isn't THAT big. Remember, the presumed magnet has to be able to push the tub through the table AND the wooden board. Also, while I can't play the sound since I'm at work, unless you can hear metal scraping against something, there's no magnet.
The table most certainly IS that big. And why in the world would there be a table cloth there if it wasn't hiding something? Surely if it was real, he'd want to avoid the obvious suspicions and would do it without the cloth! CANT you NOT see something poking the bricks from beneath and making them topple over? Who said the table is as thick as it appears? it's COVERED! who says the board isn't hollowed out on bottom? what metal are you referring to?
If the board was hollowed out, AND there was some hole in the table, the board would have dragged from a magnet that strong. The metal TABLE would have made some pretty obvious noises if there was a magnet underneath.
Your problem is that you decided he was guilty as soon as you clicked on the video. You're making excuses for how he MUST be a fraud. I still haven't said that he isn't, but I'm saying that your "proof" is flawed.
<I>"I still haven't said that he isn't, but I'm saying that your "proof" is flawed."</I>
and i'm saying i will prove it to you BEYOND a reasonable doubt very soon. There are FAR too many obviously stupid and suspicious things for it NOT to be true: The huge tablecloth, the narrow alley (forces people to observe from a particular angle), the closeness of the jar to the edge (makes ZERO sense!), the way the blue container stutters as if it's being pulled, not as if it's being pushed,
the OBVIOUS poking of the bricks from beneath... it ALL adds up to tricks, and to think otherwise defies logic.
<I>"Let's assume that he ISN'T a phony."</I>
Let's not, i prefer not to delude myself thank you.
<I>"If he is a fake, then the TV show was in on it, too"</I>
<cough>So... everything on TV is real!? if you believe that, you're truly an idiot! I can point you to hundreds of things on TV that are fake. They're ONLY interested in ratings, never the truth!
You know, if you actually thought of that before I mentioned it, I'm sure you would have said something. If you had said, "the TV show is probably in on it." I would have agreed.
You never did answer MY questions, even though I answered yours. The jar position also has no relevance that I can see. If he could BS it on the the edge, he could BS it in the middle, right?
"If you had said, the TV show is probably in on it. I would have agreed"
I wouldn't say that because I dont think that. A competent trickster CAN fool the media. What i said is that it wasn't in their interest to prove him a fraud. All they care about is ratings. I didn't mention it before you mentioned it because some things go without saying. I thought even YOU could have reasoned that.
Yes, he could probably BS it in the middle of the table... but then, WHY so close to the edge. Look up Occam's Razor. There's a REASON the edge of the table is chosen, makes ZERO sense to put it there otherwise. The cloth obscures what it is that breaks it. what question did i fail to answer? You didn't answer my questions.
My question is WHY NOT the edge? The only explanation you've given is "it doesn't make sense". That isn't an answer by any means. My argument is that the position is irrelevant. You claim relevance without proof.
This cloth, the same one which obviously shows an object nudging the brick, was able to completely conceal something that popped the jar in the air? That doesn't make sense.
<I>"This cloth, the same one which obviously shows an object nudging the brick"</I>
Wow. are you really that dense? It is TWO different cloths! One under the brick, one OVER the jar! How the f**k can you see something if it's being concealed? Furthermore, why conceal it?
<I>"That isn't an answer by any means."</I>
No, but add it up: Why the table cloth? Why the board? Why the cover on the jar? Why so close to the edge? Why the poking of the bricks from beneath? look up Occam's Razor.
I'm not talking about the one over the jar. That's irrelevant since you can still see the jar AND the tablecloth underneath. Who's the dense one? The cloth that's placed OVER the jar is supposed to keep glass from flying everywhere. You DID realize that, right?
<I>"The cloth that's placed OVER the jar is supposed to keep glass from flying everywhere."</I>
how convenient for him! OF COURSE that's why it's there! It's not hiding anything! wow. if it was to stop the glass from flying everywhere, why not cover it with clear plexiglass?
2) Occam's:<I> "people don't always make the simplest choice"</I>
Try applying the principle to the EXPLANATION, not his actions! The simplest explanation is he used his mind?! Retarded answer. Simplest explanation is it's a trick!
3) Metal legs on a table does NOT follow that the whole table is metal.
I know I don't have clear plexiglass just lying around. Whatpart of his environment makes you think HE does?
By your definition, the simplest answer is he used his mind. There aren't any more steps to it, thus it's correct. That was your definition, not mine or Occam's.
I've not seen a table designed like that with a wooden top. It MAY not be metal, but that's hopeless conjecture. Occam's Razor would simply take it as metal, considering that other tables like that are all metal.
plexiglass= he OBVIOUSLY had time to prepare materials. he got the board, the table, the pitcher, the blue bowl, the jar, the bricks... why not 1 more container?
No, the simplest answer isn't something that NEVER once was EVER been proven to exist! Then UFO and ghost would be real too! Something mysterious happen? The door blew shut? No! a ghost did it silly!
Table: just because YOU haven't seen one, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. magicians build props ALL THE TIME!
Those were things that he obviously had around him. Look at his environment, these things are easily obtained. Plexiglass is probably not so easily procured.
That is the simplest answer. People believed in those things and they were accepted as the truth.
Yes they do. So now you ASSUME that he cut or burned the metal top and put in a wooden one.
Oh, him not having it around is a weak argument. It would be different if the station SUPPLIED him with things. The various factors: not having money for it, not having it available, not thinking, "Oh, some random guy on the internet is going to call me a phony if I don't have this," make it a reasonable explanation.
I didn't say that it made sense, but it's the simplest answer.
But you've assumed that he poked holes into the table, AND that he's got a magnet underneath.
<I>"But you've assumed that he poked holes into the table, AND that he's got a magnet underneath."</I>
No... this i know for a FACT. Before I saw this debunked, I was QUITE SURE what was going on, simply by the way the bowl stuttered across the table. That, the evidence of the bricks being pushed, and the jar being so close to the edge... ALL the evidence was pointing to fakery.
1) a PROFOUND refusal to accept the rational explanations. If he used trickery to topple the bricks, doesn't that call into question EVERYTHING else?
2) That you want so desperately to believe it's real, you are willing to delude yourself. i.e.; you refuse to accept the jar thing doesn't make ANY sense.
In another week you'll be sorry you wasted your time defending this fraud!
1) Your EXPLANATIONS aren't rational. You justify everything with "he's a fake!" Then you go into wild tangents that only apply to very skilled or wealthy people.
2) I don't care either way, but you have to PROVE it's fake. The reason I was adamant about the show being in on it, is because if the show isn't in on it, he must keep them from discovering how he does it and keep the cameras from picking up his tricks. If they are, then he could have people off screen helping him.
<I>"Then you go into wild tangents that only apply to very skilled or wealthy people."</I>
Why do i feel like i've been arguing a week with a four year old? Because it really requires a unique brand of delusion to come up with your logic. (or lack thereof!)
Practicing tricks for a few days you can fool a LOT of people. Why you think it would require someone wealthy is beyond comprehension. The most expensive, being the table that he gimicked... he got that didn't he?!
How much would a magnet cost that can move the tub of water? Also, where would he get it from? Yes, the materials needed to cut off the metal top of the table, then attach (not just place) a wooden one would be quite expensive.
When you've gotten your proof, either by replication of all of the tricks, or rational explanation, I'll shut up.
Who CARES where he got the magnet or how much it costs?! Why do you assume this creep is poor!? What if he's been using his abilities to SCAM people out of money like MOST of these charlatans? I didn't say the table top WAS NOT metal, I said you shouldn't assume it. He obviously drilled holes in it to have something poking the bricks, and breaking the jar, to say he couldn't find a clear plastic container is insane.
I simply explained why this would require quite a bit of money. If he's been scamming people out of money, then he would have the money to get the table fixed and a magnet. I still haven't heard anything scraping against the bottom of the table, but it did just occur to me that he could've put cardboard underneath. One more thing. The table moves as he pushes the first brick over.
1st off, I dont HAVE to prove he's fake, (but i will) HE'S the one making the claim and the honus of proof is on HIM. 2nd: i said before, MOST shows DONT CARE if it's legit or not, they want ratings. Yes, he COULD have someone helping him. Most magicians have assistants, brightest thing you said yet.
I've looked up Occam's Razor, what's your point? You're simply making statements without proof. Your only point is the brick possibly being pushed. You have no visual evidence, nor any solid hypothesis for anything else. Cloth deadens falling brick onto metal (controversial), Board so cloth doesn't bunch up while tub moves, Edge IRRELEVANT. I stand the same as before with the brick, if something is pushing up the brick, why don't we see something pushing up the glass?
Occam's Razor= the simplest answer is the correct answer. Don't keep looking for mystical explanations when simpler ones work better. <B>POSSIBLY</B> being pushed? because i can clearly see it's being pushed. who says the table is metal?
1. Occam's Razor can't be applied to a person's actions. People don't always make the simplest choice.
2. Occam's Razor isn't "simplest answer is the correct answer". You, ironically, oversimplified it. By your definition, him being real is the right answer, because the simplest explanationis he moved the objects with chi. Occam's Razor is finding the correct answer in the fewest steps (ie: 2+2=4 instead of 1+1=2, 1+1=2, 2+2=4).
3. The metal legs on the table say that the table is metal.
You pay attention. The cloth doesn't fully cover it, correct? You can still easily see the jar, right? You can see the table UNDERNEATH the jar, yes? So why can't we see anything knock the jar in the air?
Are YOU serious? I can see the jar just fine, as well as the table since it's a CLEAR, GLASS jar. Not only that, but something poking up from the table would be painfully apparent since you would be able to see it pushing up the tablecloth. It's the same theory as your bump. How is it that NOW you say the resolution is too low to determine it? THAT'S awfully convenient.
wow. your ignorance is astounding. What about a small hole in the cloth? we wouldn't be able to see it. (which could be 1 explanation why he places it near the edge) What about a device hidden inside the cloth? what about something on the far side of the table? The cloth, the jar, the resolution, and the camera angle all contribute to us NOT being able to see what causes the jar to burst.
A device INSIDE the cloth? Wow, you're fanatical. Not only that, but you're still not paying attention. I'm talking about when the glass pops up in the air, nothing else. Whatever did that would HAVE to show up on camera, yet there isn't anything (that I can see) which indicates any sort of object underneath the TABLECLOTH.
My god... so you really think Copperfield floats bodies across the stage because you can't see the apparatus?! Dude, look... i've got this bridge in Brooklyn... it's very pretty. On sale this week only.
When was the last time he floated someone down a narrow alley while cameramen watched from one side, and had a clear view of the other? Also, these same cameramen are not part of the act.
You keep changing your argument whenever I counter you. YOU were the one who was so convinced something was poking the jar. How do you explain it? Note, I said EXPLAIN. If you can't that's fine.
Magicians fool people ALL the time with close up magic. I said again, it's most likely the narrow alley is to his advantage. It forces people to watch from a particular angle, it stops people from being able to walk around the table.
Small hole in table top OR on far side of the table, on a spring mechanism with a nail or something breaks the jar. Whenever something suspicious is explained away as "to stop the pieces from flying", should send off warning signals.
I can kinda see that. It would have to come up only enough to barely pop up, though, otherwise we'd see the cloth move. The cloth could help provide a little weight so the jar doesn't simply pop up or roll. If it's adjustable, then it could pop the jar in the air while not breaking it. I like. It's hard to tell if it will work without trying it, though.
Which is it, did he fool them or did they not care? I say that if he is a fraud, then the media MUST be in on it. I've been interviewed before. For not even ONE of them to look under the cloth is ridiculous. The cameraman had plenty of oppurtunities to look. Also, these people could easily have said, here, let's set it up outside. Yet they didn't.
<I>"I say that if he is a fraud, then the media MUST be in on it."</I>
I disagree. I can point you to MANY examples where the media runs with stories without checking facts. but, okay, MAYBE they are in on it too... So what?!
If they are in on it, that would explain why no one looked under the table. It would explain how and why this bump was allowed to air. It would explain the dubious setting, as no real show would stand in a cramped alley when it could be done in an open space. TV stations edit these clips, and for no one to notice until now is preposterous. Even if they only cared about ratings, they wouldn't let something that's so "obvious" go by because it would discredit them and ratings would drop.
<I>"Even if they only cared about ratings, they wouldn't let something that's so "obvious" go by because it would discredit them and ratings would drop."</I>
Nonsensical. The internet is FULL with evidence of such things getting by. Happens ALL THE TIME! There's also a famous sex joke that got by many censors on St. Elsewhere back when TV was a lot more censored. My guess, is that the TV crew were NOT in on it, but does it really matter? No.
If something pierced the glass, it would be a lot harder to conceal. Something with enough force to do that would easily push up the tablecloth significantly, more so than your "brick bump". Also, the glass moves without any evidence of a bump. So, if it didn't show up there, but it showed up for the brick, what's your explanation? As far as the jar position, why not? If he'd put it exactly where the bricks were, I could see your logic.
<I>"So, if it didn't show up there, but it showed up for the brick, what's your explanation?"</I>
well, DUH! The jar is COVERED! how could you possibly see what broke the jar?! Why not let people examine the table?
<I>"As far as the jar position, why not?"</I>
Because it raises suspicion. His phony qi moves and shouting is called misdirection, it's what magicians DO! Fooled YOU didn't he? Makes NO sense that he would place the jar so close to the edge.
I can think of one. If it was in the middle, you'd say there was a hole in the middle of the table. I was talking about when the jar was moved, not when it was shattered. I couldn't hear the sound, and I wasn't looking at his hands, so those couldn't have "fooled me".
Let's assume that he ISN'T a phony. Might it have been easier to push something from the edge, as opposed to the center? You saw how close he had to be.
If he is a fake, then the TV show was in on it, too.
fake! look at the way the bowl jittered across the table, a magnet was obviously inside it, that was being moved by a magnet underneath the table. if it was real "telekinesis" the bowl would've moved swiftly, and likely much slower than that. even at the beggining, the bricks just dropped like nothing. so fake.

Not everything can be proven, just like not everything can be disproved.

Just because you don't understand something doesn't make it impossible. For instance..do you know if radio waves are real? How do you know they are real? You only know that the internet works and not how it works. Your body is made up from energy, some in pure form, and most in a solid state. An open mind can accomplish much more than a closed mind. Without these open minded people pushing the limits of what's possible, humankind would never have achieved what was once thought impossible

dirtyclean 4 years ago
i have to rule out magnets, the effect on the brick, maybe if they were made primary of a metalic, but the glass is glass, you can't magntise that, as for the water bowl, plastic, even if you put a magnet in it or on it, it wouldn't move as smooth as it did, would have been more choppy. This form of Chi does allow the body to resist forms of attack (throat needle and the blade) Energy passing out of the body through movement can be seen in a heat spectrogram.
Amaterasu72 4 years ago
all of these are CHEAP tricks. why is the table covered? so we can't see the guy under the table with the magnet pulling the bowl and poking the brick! actually if you slow the video down, you can see the brick poked. bowl has magnet in its base. you call that movement smooth!? surely you're joking! it moved like a drunk man walks! unbelievable how gullible people can be!
lennyhipp 4 years ago
the table was covered with the wood so it can be less rezistance and roll, from where was man wthat was poking the brick?a and you think that the bottle is were been shooted by gun?If you dont want to believe its ok but dont try to find some ways to cover your fear of what you beleive unreal
Neronas7 4 years ago
wood causes LESS resistance than WHAT exactly?! What in this video rolled on the wood? Who said anything about a gun? The glass was shattered by someone or something under the table. It's not that i don't believe, it's pretty silly for ANYONE to believe this crap! ALL OF IT has been rationally explained if you read all the comments.
lennyhipp 4 years ago
The problem with your brick theory is that it's too hard to tell if that's something underneath or bad quality. Also, what would be able to shatter the glass without piercing the table? There's no room for someone to move that bit of cloth with their hand. How would you move a tub on a piece of wood without a REALLY large, OBVIOUS magnet? . The "rational" explanations haven't attempted to explain anything besides the bricks. Try again.
roseille 4 years ago
roselle- Oh, it's bad quality alright, but it's not the video... it's YOUR EYES that are bad if you can't see something pushing the brick. Pause the video. It's CLEAR. And who said it DID NOT pierce the tablecloth? you can see THAT in the video that you already said was bad quality? Why the tablecloth for that matter? Why balance the car precariously on the edge?
lennyhipp 4 years ago
<I>"How would you move a tub on a piece of wood without a REALLY large, OBVIOUS magnet?"</I>
Wow. You should be a stand up comic. You almost made me spit coffee all over my keyboard when i read that! <B>HELL-OOOOO!!!???!!? There's a REALLY LARGE table there hiding the REALLY LARGE magnet!
<I>"The "rational" explanations haven't attempted to explain anything besides the bricks."</I>
Put down the crack pipe and look again. Do I really need to give you gullible people more proof?
lennyhipp 4 years ago
whoops. Didn't mean to write most of that in bold type! sorry folks. And i meant "jar" and not "car" for the idiots that will surely complain about that too!
lennyhipp 4 years ago
Insults do not help your case at all. If a magnet that large is under the table, you'd have a hard time concealing a person under there too (thus the obvious part). The table isn't THAT big. Remember, the presumed magnet has to be able to push the tub through the table AND the wooden board. Also, while I can't play the sound since I'm at work, unless you can hear metal scraping against something, there's no magnet.
roseille 4 years ago
The table most certainly IS that big. And why in the world would there be a table cloth there if it wasn't hiding something? Surely if it was real, he'd want to avoid the obvious suspicions and would do it without the cloth! CANT you NOT see something poking the bricks from beneath and making them topple over? Who said the table is as thick as it appears? it's COVERED! who says the board isn't hollowed out on bottom? what metal are you referring to?
lennyhipp 4 years ago
If the board was hollowed out, AND there was some hole in the table, the board would have dragged from a magnet that strong. The metal TABLE would have made some pretty obvious noises if there was a magnet underneath.
Your problem is that you decided he was guilty as soon as you clicked on the video. You're making excuses for how he MUST be a fraud. I still haven't said that he isn't, but I'm saying that your "proof" is flawed.
roseille 4 years ago
<I>"I still haven't said that he isn't, but I'm saying that your "proof" is flawed."</I>
and i'm saying i will prove it to you BEYOND a reasonable doubt very soon. There are FAR too many obviously stupid and suspicious things for it NOT to be true: The huge tablecloth, the narrow alley (forces people to observe from a particular angle), the closeness of the jar to the edge (makes ZERO sense!), the way the blue container stutters as if it's being pulled, not as if it's being pushed,
lennyhipp 4 years ago
the OBVIOUS poking of the bricks from beneath... it ALL adds up to tricks, and to think otherwise defies logic.
They're ONLY interested in ratings, never the truth!
lennyhipp 4 years ago
You know, if you actually thought of that before I mentioned it, I'm sure you would have said something. If you had said, "the TV show is probably in on it." I would have agreed.
You never did answer MY questions, even though I answered yours. The jar position also has no relevance that I can see. If he could BS it on the the edge, he could BS it in the middle, right?
roseille 4 years ago
"If you had said, the TV show is probably in on it. I would have agreed"
I wouldn't say that because I dont think that. A competent trickster CAN fool the media. What i said is that it wasn't in their interest to prove him a fraud. All they care about is ratings. I didn't mention it before you mentioned it because some things go without saying. I thought even YOU could have reasoned that.
lennyhipp 4 years ago
Yes, he could probably BS it in the middle of the table... but then, WHY so close to the edge. Look up Occam's Razor. There's a REASON the edge of the table is chosen, makes ZERO sense to put it there otherwise. The cloth obscures what it is that breaks it. what question did i fail to answer? You didn't answer my questions.
lennyhipp 4 years ago
My question is WHY NOT the edge? The only explanation you've given is "it doesn't make sense". That isn't an answer by any means. My argument is that the position is irrelevant. You claim relevance without proof.
This cloth, the same one which obviously shows an object nudging the brick, was able to completely conceal something that popped the jar in the air? That doesn't make sense.
roseille 4 years ago
<I>"This cloth, the same one which obviously shows an object nudging the brick"</I>
Wow. are you really that dense? It is TWO different cloths! One under the brick, one OVER the jar! How the f**k can you see something if it's being concealed? Furthermore, why conceal it?
<I>"That isn't an answer by any means."</I>
No, but add it up: Why the table cloth? Why the board? Why the cover on the jar? Why so close to the edge? Why the poking of the bricks from beneath? look up Occam's Razor.
lennyhipp 4 years ago
I'm not talking about the one over the jar. That's irrelevant since you can still see the jar AND the tablecloth underneath. Who's the dense one? The cloth that's placed OVER the jar is supposed to keep glass from flying everywhere. You DID realize that, right?
roseille 4 years ago
<I>"The cloth that's placed OVER the jar is supposed to keep glass from flying everywhere."</I>
how convenient for him! OF COURSE that's why it's there! It's not hiding anything! wow. if it was to stop the glass from flying everywhere, why not cover it with clear plexiglass?
lennyhipp 4 years ago
Simple answer: He does not have clear plexiglass.
You can still see the jar very clearly underneath the cloth. It's only covering the top of the jar.
roseille 4 years ago
1)<I>"he doesn't have clear plexiglass"
How utterly convenient!</I>
2) Occam's:<I> "people don't always make the simplest choice"</I>
Try applying the principle to the EXPLANATION, not his actions! The simplest explanation is he used his mind?! Retarded answer. Simplest explanation is it's a trick!
3) Metal legs on a table does NOT follow that the whole table is metal.
lennyhipp 4 years ago
I know I don't have clear plexiglass just lying around. Whatpart of his environment makes you think HE does?
By your definition, the simplest answer is he used his mind. There aren't any more steps to it, thus it's correct. That was your definition, not mine or Occam's.
I've not seen a table designed like that with a wooden top. It MAY not be metal, but that's hopeless conjecture. Occam's Razor would simply take it as metal, considering that other tables like that are all metal.
roseille 4 years ago
plexiglass= he OBVIOUSLY had time to prepare materials. he got the board, the table, the pitcher, the blue bowl, the jar, the bricks... why not 1 more container?
No, the simplest answer isn't something that NEVER once was EVER been proven to exist! Then UFO and ghost would be real too! Something mysterious happen? The door blew shut? No! a ghost did it silly!
Table: just because YOU haven't seen one, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. magicians build props ALL THE TIME!
lennyhipp 4 years ago
Those were things that he obviously had around him. Look at his environment, these things are easily obtained. Plexiglass is probably not so easily procured.
That is the simplest answer. People believed in those things and they were accepted as the truth.
Yes they do. So now you ASSUME that he cut or burned the metal top and put in a wooden one.
roseille 4 years ago
<I>"Plexiglass is probably not so easily procured."</I>
really, really weak argument.
<I>"That is the simplest answer. People believed in those things and they were accepted as the truth."</I>
Akin to saying: "How did he get from NY to Philly? By car? By Train? By Plane? NO! The simplest answer is he teleported! DUH!" Makes ZERO sense.
<I>"So now you ASSUME that he cut or burned the metal top</I>
No. What I'm saying is you CANT ASSUME anything because you CANT see the top!
lennyhipp 4 years ago
Oh, him not having it around is a weak argument. It would be different if the station SUPPLIED him with things. The various factors: not having money for it, not having it available, not thinking, "Oh, some random guy on the internet is going to call me a phony if I don't have this," make it a reasonable explanation.
I didn't say that it made sense, but it's the simplest answer.
But you've assumed that he poked holes into the table, AND that he's got a magnet underneath.
roseille 4 years ago
<I>"But you've assumed that he poked holes into the table, AND that he's got a magnet underneath."</I>
No... this i know for a FACT. Before I saw this debunked, I was QUITE SURE what was going on, simply by the way the bowl stuttered across the table. That, the evidence of the bricks being pushed, and the jar being so close to the edge... ALL the evidence was pointing to fakery.
lennyhipp 4 years ago
So here's what you've got for evidence.
bricks: pushed by something underneath the tablecloth
jars: spring mechanism pushes nail up enough to break and/or push jar in the air, but not be seen
tub: magnet under table, cardboard to conceal scraping noise
Sound feasible?
roseille 4 years ago

lennyhipp 4 years ago

roseille 4 years ago
<i>wouldn't it be FAR simpler to remove the cloth than to ADD a board! Again, see occam's. makes NO sense</i>
That's you applying Occam's Razor to his actions.
By the way, this was the WHOLE quote you butchered:
<i> <b>1. Occam's Razor can't be applied to a person's actions.</b> People don't always make the simplest choice.</i>
roseille 4 years ago
You are exhibiting two things here:
1) a PROFOUND refusal to accept the rational explanations. If he used trickery to topple the bricks, doesn't that call into question EVERYTHING else?
2) That you want so desperately to believe it's real, you are willing to delude yourself. i.e.; you refuse to accept the jar thing doesn't make ANY sense.
In another week you'll be sorry you wasted your time defending this fraud!
lennyhipp 4 years ago
1) Your EXPLANATIONS aren't rational. You justify everything with "he's a fake!" Then you go into wild tangents that only apply to very skilled or wealthy people.
2) I don't care either way, but you have to PROVE it's fake. The reason I was adamant about the show being in on it, is because if the show isn't in on it, he must keep them from discovering how he does it and keep the cameras from picking up his tricks. If they are, then he could have people off screen helping him.
roseille 4 years ago
<I>"Then you go into wild tangents that only apply to very skilled or wealthy people."</I>
Why do i feel like i've been arguing a week with a four year old? Because it really requires a unique brand of delusion to come up with your logic. (or lack thereof!)
Practicing tricks for a few days you can fool a LOT of people. Why you think it would require someone wealthy is beyond comprehension. The most expensive, being the table that he gimicked... he got that didn't he?!
lennyhipp 4 years ago
How much would a magnet cost that can move the tub of water? Also, where would he get it from? Yes, the materials needed to cut off the metal top of the table, then attach (not just place) a wooden one would be quite expensive.
When you've gotten your proof, either by replication of all of the tricks, or rational explanation, I'll shut up.
roseille 4 years ago
Who CARES where he got the magnet or how much it costs?! Why do you assume this creep is poor!? What if he's been using his abilities to SCAM people out of money like MOST of these charlatans? I didn't say the table top WAS NOT metal, I said you shouldn't assume it. He obviously drilled holes in it to have something poking the bricks, and breaking the jar, to say he couldn't find a clear plastic container is insane.
lennyhipp 4 years ago
I simply explained why this would require quite a bit of money. If he's been scamming people out of money, then he would have the money to get the table fixed and a magnet. I still haven't heard anything scraping against the bottom of the table, but it did just occur to me that he could've put cardboard underneath. One more thing. The table moves as he pushes the first brick over.
roseille 4 years ago
<I>"The table moves as he pushes the first brick over."</I>
I hadn't noticed this before.
lennyhipp 4 years ago
1st off, I dont HAVE to prove he's fake, (but i will) HE'S the one making the claim and the honus of proof is on HIM. 2nd: i said before, MOST shows DONT CARE if it's legit or not, they want ratings. Yes, he COULD have someone helping him. Most magicians have assistants, brightest thing you said yet.
lennyhipp 4 years ago
I've looked up Occam's Razor, what's your point? You're simply making statements without proof. Your only point is the brick possibly being pushed. You have no visual evidence, nor any solid hypothesis for anything else. Cloth deadens falling brick onto metal (controversial), Board so cloth doesn't bunch up while tub moves, Edge IRRELEVANT. I stand the same as before with the brick, if something is pushing up the brick, why don't we see something pushing up the glass?
roseille 4 years ago
Occam's Razor= the simplest answer is the correct answer. Don't keep looking for mystical explanations when simpler ones work better. <B>POSSIBLY</B> being pushed? because i can clearly see it's being pushed. who says the table is metal?
lennyhipp 4 years ago
3. The metal legs on the table say that the table is metal.
roseille 4 years ago
<I>"Board so cloth doesn't bunch up while tub moves"</I>
wouldn't it be FAR simpler to remove the cloth than to ADD a board! Again, see occam's. makes NO sense.
<I>"why don't we see something pushing up the glass?"</I>
For the THIRD TIME! Because there is a cloth covering it, that's why! wow. I'm using simple words here, do pay attention!
lennyhipp 4 years ago
You pay attention. The cloth doesn't fully cover it, correct? You can still easily see the jar, right? You can see the table UNDERNEATH the jar, yes? So why can't we see anything knock the jar in the air?
roseille 4 years ago
<I>"The cloth doesn't fully cover it, correct?
No, but certainly more than half of it.
<I>You can still easily see the jar, right?</I>
erm... NO! Are we watching the same vid? Are you serious?
<I>"You can see the table UNDERNEATH the jar, yes?"</I>
Absolutely, positively NOT!
<I>"So why can't we see anything knock the jar in the air?"</I>
A combination of the camera angle, the cloth covering it, and the LOW resolution of the video. You're being silly now.
lennyhipp 4 years ago
Are YOU serious? I can see the jar just fine, as well as the table since it's a CLEAR, GLASS jar. Not only that, but something poking up from the table would be painfully apparent since you would be able to see it pushing up the tablecloth. It's the same theory as your bump. How is it that NOW you say the resolution is too low to determine it? THAT'S awfully convenient.
roseille 4 years ago
wow. your ignorance is astounding. What about a small hole in the cloth? we wouldn't be able to see it. (which could be 1 explanation why he places it near the edge) What about a device hidden inside the cloth? what about something on the far side of the table? The cloth, the jar, the resolution, and the camera angle all contribute to us NOT being able to see what causes the jar to burst.
lennyhipp 4 years ago
A device INSIDE the cloth? Wow, you're fanatical. Not only that, but you're still not paying attention. I'm talking about when the glass pops up in the air, nothing else. Whatever did that would HAVE to show up on camera, yet there isn't anything (that I can see) which indicates any sort of object underneath the TABLECLOTH.

Makes NO sense that he would place the jar so close to the edge.
lennyhipp 4 years ago
I can think of one. If it was in the middle, you'd say there was a hole in the middle of the table. I was talking about when the jar was moved, not when it was shattered. I couldn't hear the sound, and I wasn't looking at his hands, so those couldn't have "fooled me".
Let's assume that he ISN'T a phony. Might it have been easier to push something from the edge, as opposed to the center? You saw how close he had to be.
If he is a fake, then the TV show was in on it, too.
