you must be more than human to have been in/survived Vietnam! I would love to hear from you, would you mind inboxing me about some of your experiences?
My young nephew is writing this comment I seem to lack some, basically I'm still 15 & its 1968. I do have moments where I am lucid, quite sane and then I have no idea what year it is or where I am until I lookat my well aged body.I set my controls for the heart of the sun, seems I am well on course."Freddy, wipe the dribble off my beard".
@ Malkin: Please don't underestimate the contributions of Ron Geesin to this album. Ever heard the completely weird record 'Music from the Body', that he recorded together with Roger Waters?
I've always loved the early Pink Floyd albums. There were a special sound and vibe, captured in these old songs.. and even though I have loved every single album from PF, these early ones, have a very special place in my heart.. Days of magic and nights of wonder :)
So, normally I would just hate it, when someone "messed" with these old masterpieces. But, this is actually a really good mix. Totally in tune with the vibe of the music, and the time it was created :)
well i hope they will remaster this or someting like Mason said.. if we just had some more time we could have made this much better ...Better ?? it is awsome so i just wonder how a redo will sound like O O

A very brief clip of the "Remergence" portion of Atom Heart Mother. (When all the musical themes pile on top of each other.)

Why do you refer to their original name instead of just "Pink Floyd." I like it by the way.
elementsk8boarder 2 years ago
Because it's a sound collage called The Pink Floyd Sound.

The High Hopes bells are a direct reference to Fat Old Sun, reliving on Pink Floyd's older music.
