  • Entwarnung.

  • The siren you hear is a German F71 siren by company Hörmann. It's a large and powerful pneumatic siren. Besides having being installed in (West)German cities during the cold war, these were also sold to Israel, Former Yugoslavia, Finland and a few other countries. In Germany, these sirens have been mostly removed after 1990 because they are expensive to maintain.

  • Hrvatska ponosim se tobom

  • i have no idea what this siren is...

closest thing would be... a tbolt 1000.

  • @cheetawolf

  • @CHICKENNUGGETS1011 its one of the Old Pneumatical Probes right? I can tell by the soft wind up and the coarse sound of it .

  • Nice Video!

I'd love to see Split and Croatia!

...is this a German HLS Siren??? Sounds like it!!

I would be surprised if (West) Germany sold HLS sirens to Yugoslavia in the 70s and 80s.

  • Of course I was! But I'm from Split, it's a really beautiful city too, just a bit up north! You should visit it during the summer, we don't have siren test then! :)
