  • loving the music mate!! CHEERS!!!

  • Since you have the nylon bag... why not just mash it on the stove-top in a stainless kettle?

  • @mixedbrewing I feel like I get better filtration using a drain spout and better use of the grain during mash and sparge.

  • Very good...I am gonna have to make a few for my mini-mash friends

  • If I could find a way to hook a manifold to those plastic spigots that would be sweet. The ball valve I used is a little overkill but you have standard threads to work with.

That spigot is perfect, I love it.

  • @yartp Hey PT, I think I may have figured out the manifold/spigot hook up problem. I will get back to you on it soon.

  • nice mash tun. what your efficiency on it?

  • @RetroMick In all honesty, I am not sure. I made it the day I filmed it because I had enough grains to do a mini mash so It hasn't been completely tested as of yet. I will get back to you soon as I am going to my brew store to purchase some iodine testing supplies and to get some more info on testing efficiency rates. Cheers.

  • @RetroMick I finally figured out the equations to use and I will take the proper measurements on the next mini mash I do. I'll let you know.

  • Very very cool! So using a biab bag as a filter for genuine mashing and pulling out the spent grains for easy cleanup. I like this idea very much. Hey, did you check out 78recordrepair's video where he figured how how to use the original spigot and automate it, with a nut and elastic? Love all these great ideas abounding now! We're all going outside the darned box! Cheers!!
