  • The queen and King off jazz.

  • The intro is a great song in itself.

  • Ella, absolutely superb.

  • Wonderful This is one of my all time favorite songs and the album ella at dukes place so great to hear real music again.

  • They are live forever!

  • Incredible, and the whole album is like this. Was this one of Strayhorn's first for Duke?

  • hauntingly beautiful! her voice makes me cry!

  • This is such a hard song to sing, because it is so rangey but, WHAT a song! Billy Strayhorn, was a troubled and brilliant lyricist, who Duke loved and stuck with him through out his sad life. Ella sings a great rendition. Thanks for posting this.

  • @StevesWifeCharlo Strayhorn was a lot more than a lyricist. He was an enormously talented arranger and composer in his own right. He wasa brilliant and courageous human being, not some sad hanger on.

  • sounds kind of tinny... the recording i mean... you didn't just record it with a microphone up to the speaker did you?

  • A better recording, though it is a different preformance -- watch?v=FLKzZOwybbM&feature=related

  • So beautiful - as is this whole album (Ella at Duke's Place). Maybe someone will upload Passion Flower and the incomparable I Like the Sunrise. Thank you!

  • AWESOME!

    thank's for posting
