They are upgrading as we speak, but I think it is going to be too late for them. You get one shot to get it right in the virtual world, and they may have blown theirs. I may go back to a dial up phone and land mail at this point.
Just signed up to it the other day but then was getting the site is under maintenance message for a few days so was never able to upload a video now it looks like its totally dead was hopping it would give youtube some competition.

Honestly, I don't know why people are complaining so much about the channel change. Be honest - how many times do you go to a person's channel to watch their newest video? Rarely. You'll just click on it in search or your sub box. YouTube is corporate yes, but it works. People need to stop being so god damn hipster, lol.
the videos on yt also stop and buffer every few seconds. havent you noticed? At least zippcast doesnt have copyright problems and they`re working on their problems. The heydays of yt are over. There are ALOT of other video platforms out there!
@WildRose3000 If your internet connection is decent YouTube loads straight away, no waiting, no buffering. But ZippCast? Yeesh. I was waiting for this site to be brilliant and it's just getting worse by the day. 2 minute vids take 10 mins to load, logging in troubles, uploads of 2 min vids take about an HOUR. Just rubbish... unless they become what YouTube is (corporatE) they'll fail.

All websites have problems, yt has lots of bugs, sometimes you cant upload vids with your usual browser etc. zippcast isnt prepared for so many new users, their servers are to slow. I dont know either why people complain about the yt channel layout. Its a problem for all the graphic posters but thats all.
I would say since it is just starting that they will need lots of servers to handle the traffic everyone is throwing at ZIPPCAST. They will probably get everything sorted in the near future it is just a matter of time.

I should not have to change the way I keep my browser just to look at the new channel, I keep my screen res. at 600X800, because of poor eyesight.

I don't have any problems with youtube. My videos upload as they should, I can watch all the videos I want, and that's all I want. Everyone that uses the internet exposes themselves to a certain amount of risk and they need to be comfortable with that. That said, how in the world could Google get access to someone's bank account, and WHY??
@WhoSaidTyler Technically they have access if you setup direct deposit of your AdSense, but at the same time, technically they don't since all they can do then is make a deposit.
As vwestlife said, "Google already knows all of my personal information through my AdSense account, and so far no boogeyman has come to my door to drag me off to the Gestapo..."
@old64goat AdSense is something you have when you have a Partnership and Ads on your videos. You can see your earnings there and have to put in your info to get a check.

I'm not sure what you have against Youtube specifically, but the first thing is, it's a free service that you, me or anyone else can use. On top of that, they'll even pay you for putting videos up if you would do the monetize thing which I'm sure they have offered you. I understand older people tend to focus on things more, but I don't think Google is attempting to take control of your life. Keep the videos coming.

I was able to sign up to Zippcast and create a channel there just fine, but the web site is very slow and buggy. Most of the videos I've tried to upload there get stuck saying "This video is still processing" forever. I like what they're trying to do, but they really need to work on getting the site working reliably!
I heard somewhere that change is hard for (Old Goats) hehe!! zippcast is going to work out the problems it will take time make sure you take your name or I will then sell it back to you for a profit. lol
I personally had no problems with the videos - my internet is a beta triple-band setup (wireless, wired and wifi all contributing to a super fast connection that we got to test for being customers since the company was founded), but my video is formatted in .flv in 480p and won't process there.
This weird thing came up and told me that I couldn't connect with Zippcast. What's wrong?
