@bakalovesbakachan He have auto-adjust skill.If you are better than him, he rises his skill level. I once played vs him on novice (brother saves)and he raised to something around skilled (if i remember correctly, because it was a few years ago)

Either you are so damn good or you're not playing on Godlike :D Seems more like Inhuman...Or he's just the same difficulty cuz i remember when i beat him on average my first time playing the missions seriously i lost like between 5 and 10 times and then i ownd him :D

and so i know how to play against him.I also had luck at the beginning, he suicided twice, with is very rare.

the first 2 kills , he's a raging bull coming right at you..

and the last kill he is also a bit tougher..

use the bio-rifle and slime him to learn his ways.then later use other weapons.

Are you fucking kidding? Godlike Xan is impossible to beat. His aim goes straight to your head in each shoot.

Not meaning to brag but i could beat xan 15- -25(or more) on godlike. I was that good and I found a way in which you casn make him kill himself.

wow good music choice ut arena music are so cool i mean ive never played this game but played UT2004 quite & that hyberblast theme music + phobos 2 music is so damn cool :D.

And Xan & other boses are also damn touch even in UT2k4 :P

this is THE game, so hard fight in godlike without proper corner usage of rifle which im not good at...

Played since release and still so hooked that i have to install it few times a year.

Is it me, or is this smaller than the 2004 verison?

It is much smaller, but also more intensive. Also in ut99 you can`t move as fast as in ut2004, so it is justified.

Here's the trick to kill him easily. Kill him 4-5 times without dying (as in kill him 5 times in a row or so) and you will notice he will adjust his skill level to yours. Then just let him kill you 6-7 times in a row and then finish him off. The trick of getting cocky XD

When i played it was normal, but this software messed up the colors in video

impressive... i can't win the lightning deathmatches before him on godlike. the normal deathmatch ladder already took me a lot of tries (damn you, barktooth!).

btw. could it be that your allied bots in domination, ctf and assault are weaker than the bots in the enemy-team?

Hard to say, but probably epic tried to make equal teams, at last i think so, but don`t realy know :/

LordGel2, good video, however the authentication of this video and what u say is on "godlike" settings cannot be proved. becuase of the fact you havent show the video fully, in which i mean if this was godlike, it would of been more viable if the video showed a clip of the difficuilty setting been shown. therefore i like alot of others belive this video is not a true account of a "godlike" battle vs xan, however it was a good video none the less.

I had a better quality video, but unfortunately i deleted it becouse it was like 400 mega, and had terrible sound.I did not thought it will be useful in future :/

First - and last, out of respect - time I ever fought Godlike Xan, I won 15-3. I got quite skilled because of last three challenge DM's, and this one proved much easier - because there's only ONE enemy, he cannot gain frags on other guys, just you.

My strategy was quite gay, but effective. I used rocket launcher ONLY. Every time I waited and lured him into that "U" shaped corridor with shield belt. Running backwards, him trying to catch me, I'd pump 6 rockets and blew him to smithereens.

It is possible but very hard.

Especially deathmatch leader and some of the matches in other leaders (like Overlord and the last CTF map - forgot the name of it)

For most of the later maps you need to find a strategy (like the best pleace and best way to frag in DM maps) and it take many tries and unfortunately sometimes a pure luck :/

i remember hating that guy so much.

One thing i really remember is that often id get to 5-6 spread, sometimes even 10, and then he just annihilates me.

I have just looked at my Unreal Anthology box, and yes,it seems that it should work on Vista.

For future comments, it should also work on Windows 7, becouse of "XP machine" build in it.

Xan is the hardest video game boss ever.

I am interestd in this subject (hardet bosses ever) and imo Xan is hard (maby in the top 10 hardest FPS Bosses), but there are harder bosses then him, like (random orderer):

1. MUSHIHIMESAMA FUTARI last boss and true last boss - maby hardest bosses ever.

2. Mike tyson in Punch out

3. Cho Ren Sha true last boss - remake is freeware you can check it out.

4. Penance in final fantasy X international - 1 and half hour fight + 40 hours of "level up`s"

6. Hibachi in dodonpachi series

7. Malcolm in UT2004 on Godlike

8. Absolute Virtue in final fantasy XI

But Xan still one of harder bosses you can find.

In the difficult modes the crux wasn´t Xan at all, it was the level "Liandri", god that was eFing hard in godlike and was I proud when I finally did it! After that all the rest was a piece of cake (incl. Xan)

Yup, liandri was HELL (and few other maps, but liandri the most)

Xan was not the hardest fight in this game (on godlike) but still, in GOTY edition he is really good, and deserve to be a tournament boss.

That`s true. Not long ago my friend started to play UT. He easly get past all leaders on novice, but in final fight with Xan he loss something like 15 to -1.

Xan simply knows the difference between DM and 1on1, and he have auto-adjust skill (if you are better then he gets better too)

Yes UT2004 is awesome, i love it too :)

Try also first Unreal (not tournament) - graphic may not be that good but music and atmosphere are incredible.

All games in Unreal Anthology are great.
