Sorry mate but its actually the way the car was mapped. The Standard intercooler is a bit restrictive and so the car would drop its boost if i reved much harder running about 18psi. And your only shifting to early if you are not through the peak of the power curve. Max power was at 6k on the rolling road so reving to 6.5 or the red line was a waste of time. Just because the revs are there doesnt mean you have to use them.

well MATE....I drive a 99 sti and when i shift at 6,000 Revs the next gear I am in is below my turbo spool-up revs so (LAG)

LOL. You have an STI fucking idiot. They rev higher than a turbo 2000. If you notice my rev counter red lines at 7k. Yours will be 8k. Plus you have at least 260bhp as standard and it must be an import if its a 99 sti because they didnt make them on the classic imprezas other than in Japan. The STi also has a bigger intercooler as standard than the turbo 2000 which also explains the difference with running higher than standard boost. 1.2bar is only about 17 psi anyway. Yes. Because there is not enough power to launch it at the speed you want. If i had no worries about the gearbox then id be around 6k and release the clutch a lot faster. It wont wheelspin. I did that a few times (Not propping the clutch, but very swiftly releasing it) and shortly after the gearbox went. It also happened on my last scoob too so have lost convidence in the transmission. Lovely car though and very rapid for a 2000 turbo. Check out my other video from 0-120. It pulls pretty well.

Firstly, What VTI are you talking about? And secondly, check out my other video and it shows that the car is not really struggling up to 120 and i can asure you 150+ is very easy.

definately, i have a MY00 Turbo 2000 with full decat and i can assure our "VTI" friend that these easily reach 120+, and yes 150 is easily done - i have had 155 out of mine but would never do it again as it scared the crap out of me lol! good vid btw!

Im just taking it as a compliment mate. Your obviously impressed with it. Plus if you think you could release the clutch that fast up on stands then you must be crazy. And it would be so fast through the gears you wouldnt be able to change fast enough. Is it really that hard to believe? Oh and it would be pointless posting a video that was all a load of bollocks really wouldnt it. The car has 291Bhp at the fly wheel by the way.

Cheers. Im not sure of the make of exhaust but its a 3" Stainless pipe from the turbo with no CATs. HKS dump valve and induction kit and a re-map. Not much really.
