Sick lift bro-nice and deep. Was on CAN BS dev team in 05. I know for a fact Lascelles wasn't this strong in my summer camp. What's your 60m and single push time?
you look like Chuck Norris! excellent squat and excellent depth too, most people are scared to go deep, gotta rate you for being brave enough to hit those depth!! keep up the good work!
U could do at leat 290 kg helped... in an year with a right rest u could move from 210 clean to 300 kg clean! maybe not 4 ... but MAAAAN! u have strenght and tecnique!
@onhannibalsteps wtf are you talking about helped? He did 4 reps of 210, so his max would probably be around 225kg maybe 230. and 90kg in a year? Seriously nobody can gain that much in a squat in a year
@TheOmegaEffect not really no..at the age of 13 i was squatting 600 for 10 reps..so you definitely need to improve more man. pretty weak if you ask me. and i'm talking in kilos btw
@supramano8, man you people are funny as hell. Idk if you're some kind of a freak but 600 at the age of 13 is highly unlikely, let alone for 10 reps. BS bro.
Easy! Just an advice as a physio: try to control your speed on the lower point of your move. Actually an important speed at this moment could be dangerous for your meniscs. I know that powerlifting is not the best sport to have healthy joints but sometimes little details can makes you push some years more. Best regards.
@TheCoOkiEs31 Doc, you are right in that the speed at the eccentric phase in most sports is where ACL injuries occur. However, his meniscus is fine because he's been doing this for awhile and is quiet stable. This is Olympic Lifting...not powerlifting. In Olympic lifting, the speed is necessary to mimic the downward speed when catching a clean in the front squat or snatch. He's been doing this for awhile is poses no harm. All Olympic lifters do this and we walk out of our sport injury free.
@captainjosue I really respect your point of view. I also forgot to mention the fact that speed in the lower part of the move increase the effect of the myotatic reflex on your quads which give you more strength after a quick stretch of the muscle. I know that you guys are well trained and in a way gifted anatomically (meniscs, ligaments..). But I just wanted to warn the beginners or people who are not used to this technique and tell them to avoid adding a great speed to this form. Take care!
@TheCoOkiEs31 Yes. Great point. The myotatic reflex (stretch reflex) is what we're after when we move eccentrically in the squat. Squatting for years in this manner creates eccentric flexion forces that the knees and ligaments absorb safely and are necessary to minimize injury potential. Obviously, this isn't for everyone because it's so hard to do and not everyone is willing to work really hard. Great points Doc. You know your stuff.
No offense or anything, but why so many steps back? You'd definitely be more rested if you only did one step back. 210KG that long of a walk is bound to tire you.
you just did 11 kg's less than my max (and that's w/wraps and a powerlifting suit) 4 times, and this is probably at the beginning of your training cycle. All I can say right now is wow!!! That's some strength!
ladies and gentlemen, THAT is a true back squat.
