@jppjc Yeah, because they got good. the hawks sucked for the most of the last 15 years. even when the rangers sucked we sell out the arena. we cheer our team on even if we lose 6 in a row. MSG is the most "rockin" arena there is, sorry to burst your bubble.

Amirante is the best. We need him every game!!! With all the hand motions at "the bombs BURSTING in air" and at the end when he waves his hands to get the fans to go louder. I met him on the LIRR after a game once, and he signed my ticket. Nicest guy. I get goosebumps too when i hear him, it never gets old!

No one will ever replace John Amirante. Every time the Rangers bring out someone else to sing the National Anthem it doesn't even come close. I wish John could do every game. It was a disgrace that MSG didn't have him sing the National Anthem for game three against the Penguins.

I was at the 1st ranger / devil playoff game in 94. Amirante comes out to sing the National anthem and the crowd went nuts ,so that you could not hear one word he was singing.Most incredible moment i experienced @ a sporting event!
