I'm vegetarian, I have never smoked drank, or used recreational drugs in my life. And I haven't used prescribed meds or even advil in a long time. And I never liked the idea of promiscuous sex, sounds wierd coming from a man. But I guess I am straight edge.

I personally think its harder to be edge before 21 (or 19 in Canada). Everyone starts trying drugs and alcohol at 14-15, and peer pressure is tough when you're that age.

I'm 25 now, and I still get people trying to get me to drink, talking down to me like they're better because I don't drink and they do.

I don't worry too much about it, I feel great and look a lot better than they do :)

I think I should point out, not all straight edge folk are necessarily against people doing drugs, they're just against doing drugs themselves. Me, I don't care if somebody else does them as long as they stay in control. And even then, if a close friend starts losing it, my first instinct isn't to tell him to fuck off, it's to help him.

Well the fact that you do pot stops you from being straight-edge, but in the end, it's less important to try to fit in to a certain label and more important to just do what you enjoy and be a good person. I'm pretty much just labeled as a straight-edge because I refrain from drugs and alcohol and casual sex and all that, not the other way around.
