  • A lot of my material ive wrote just comes from things i just see in every day life that makes me laugh then i put it on paper and exgerate it lol going to start performing soon just have to see how it goes, good luck to all aspiring comics!

  • Thanks.

  • All my jokes are angry rants fueled by frustration.

  • Good stuff.

  • He has a good point, It really does help. It's good to see someone in expertvillage actually have knowledge of what they're talking about.

  • Good point about foundation Chris. However just writing jokes does not require a strong emotional point of view or foundation. Coming up with a good personalized comedy routine does, however. I can write jokes all day about any given topic just by looking at the topic and challenging myself to write the jokes. How do you do that?

  • Oh man. I always felt there might have been a gap in some of my act. I'm writing this down for sure. lol

  • Saw your page and wanted to say hey!

  • Oh I love this. He just explained the 10 year foundation of material I've been building yet never performed as stand-up comedy. Fun.

  • @trakomako try weed and a six hour shot! works for me! :)

  • @Trakomako u could become a comedy writer u can use your material and sell it to other comics just an idea

  • Tash: I never really get American stand up, though, I really only laugh at British comics.

  • Thumbs up if you plan to do Stan up comedy.

  • 0:12-0:14! (clap)(clap)

  • I want whatever this guy us smoking :p

  • Very good advice

  • Jerry Seinfeld mastered the point of view of confusion.... Eg. "What is the deal with ______"

  • @IH8WRONGPPL Is it a pea or is it a nut...

    WHAT IS THE DEAL

  • Being angry is an energizer, for me. It makes me try to find some humour in the situation. I try to find a weak link in whoever it is ticking me off. My age and gray hair is great camoflauge for the real me.

  • what about current events comedy were someone does something stupid and you revolve around that?

  • well i am frustrated comedian ...

A tie is what I like to call a dessperat attempt to look profecionall.

  • Check out mine:

I'm not sayin Susan Boyle is ugly, but when I showed her a photo of my pet pitbull she said, "What? Where'd u find a picture of me as a baby?"

    Is that funny?

  • keep em coming

    v funny

  • fail

  • That was hell funny.

  • no really no

  • I agree so much. I hate acts that consist of one guy saying a bunch of unrelated jokes in a monotone. And don't get me started on Dane Cook...generic piece of shit.

  • I disagree with everything except the last sentence.

  • i would punch you in the face for being so ignorant, but i dont need the aids

  • Lol, great comeback.

  • Dane Cook can suck an asshole!

  • thats an insult to an asshole! cook had a commedy tour right? who was spossed to do the commedy? cuz watever it is he does , it isnt that.

  • I have to agree with you. Dane Cook isn't funny. He does have charisma but that is not what I'm want to see. I want to laugh.

  • Is this a direct attack on Steven Wright? There is room for various styles of stand-up. Not everyone has to be a story teller type comic.

  • No, and you're right. I just don't like Dane Cook. And I guess I was just thinking of him and a few other comedians I just don't get when I made my first comment. It doesn't work for me but hey, if they get other people to laugh then there doing it right, I'm just not one of those people.

  • good advice
