My group goes to nursing homes on a weekly basis bringing them a whole lot of singing and fun. Some of these people get zero visitors. We help them get through that. They love this stuff!!! Keep it going, guys!  We love you from the East Coast.

The "residents" are elderly - not retarded. I think they had a clue they were being taped. So should I turn myself in for the photos I have of my grandmother having her birthday party in the nursing home? She didn't give me a signed consent. There comes a point where we need to give it a rest and just have some fun. Couldn't we all use a smile today?

HIPAA only protects the rights of patients, and since no one is receiving care in the video(therefore not a patient) i dont see how it violates thier rights?

Agree, I have neighbor just like Rebek199. He has never worked. Just sits around all day at the law school library computer looking for lawsuits, Deep Pockets 'Class actions' where he can earn money by filing hundreds of lawsuits just like the prisoners do. The defendants pay off to stay out of court. This nation is lawsuit crazy because it's now totally run by legislators that are lawyers. TOP Down. Pyramid of Lawyers now.. Nationalized Health Care, Lawyers Heaven.

It's against the privacy act to video tape residence without the written consent from them or their families if they aren't able to do so on their own... Even if you were doing this with no harm intended It would be in your best interest to take it down....

I am a nurse and it is against the law to photographe or take a video of residents and patients ... putting a video of them on youtube is 10 times worse... whoever you are you should delete this video before you lose your job.
