This was a fun boss! I changed into a vampire, jumped up on top of the moai and kept shooting bats down at her. When she called maelstrom or sprayed water at me, I quickly dodged under the moai and then jumped back up top again. Maybe not the best/quickest way to do it but it worked!

you can get it from the Min... prison (sorry I forgot how to spell the name) near the exit to light house..you will find a room contain two iron bars that runs with electric pulses.. successfully pass through the room and you will obtained the lighning thing at the end of the room.. and by combining the vol Fulgur with spear attack you will get the attack at 00:16 ;)

For the long swimming monsters that poison you and the starfish, I recommend you use the Umbra glyph 'cause it takes a lot of damage off of them and kills them quickly.

Actually what I did was stay close to Rusalka with Pneuma after using up my Hearts, jumping to dodge her attacks and hitting her with it in mid air. Does decent damage but requires good reaction timing.

Wait... What's the point of the moai anyway? You'd think having them come down would push the water and thus make the water rise, and possibly increase the power of this boss (and decrease your mobility), but it doesn't... Anyone notice?

Increase your INT, increase lightning attributes.

I actually recommend using Pneuma or another Slash glyph over the lightning though.

i defeated that boss the same i used the spiders aswell but i was a low lvl cause i just basicly ran screaming lol all the way through ...how dumb was that aw well ive played all castlevania games an still SOTN is my fav :P plus i know nearly everything in SOTN

Because you have to beat them at full health meaning you cannot get hit even once. I've gotton all the medals

What's weird is that when I had both Vol Fulgur attached to the arms and I spam them with the glyph union and Rusalka does the water skim attack, the game slows down and I'm playing with the DS. Weird, right?

Yeah, though now that I did hard mode, I recommend Pnuema + STR gear if you have it.

I'm not too sure if I do. Typically I use Radiance or Vol Rapier but the range is kind of a killer. Though my equipment hasn't gotten a good upgrade in a while.

I used the double shield glyph to avoid the waves so I wouldn't have to bother with the maoi.

i found this to be one of the easiest bosses in the game, in my third try i got his medal

Oh i should also mention that I was able to kill her without refilling my hearts using this method. however I was lvl 26 =/

Im playing it at work right now tinkering with the bosses and i just found out that Rusalkas entire moveset except for tsunami can all be canceled on normal mode. Use dual pneuma to peg her from afar for some extra dmg when the fight starts but stand right beside her the rest of the time. Unless she raises her hand to call a tsunami use the union for Dual pneuma. It cancles her move.

Konami Man- left of save point in Minera Prison Island, upper right ledge near the magnet.

Twinbee- right of the save point in upper Kalidus Channel, break the upper doorway.

Vic Viper- room where you find Serge in Somnus Reef, break open the upper doorway.

She does hurt, but my strategy was to equip Pneuma to both arms and do the double, then backdash to avoid her upclose attack or double jump to avoid the water attack. I tried to keep her centered so I could keep the maois on the side.

Haha, quite an interesting dodging and attacking at the same time. Well, my strategy was to transform into a bat and slash her for 350 damage in 4 hits when she launches Hydro Pump. Then I used Vol Fulgur to strike her in normal times

My strategy was slashing away with the Vol Confodere then before the boss attack i quickly jumped away.Repeated this strategy til i won.
