@duknifeuser It's not shaving sharp or anything, but I think I had a hard time cutting around the tripod. This vid was shot in a small space too. I'll sharpen 'er up!
@DeadlySteel96 Haha, the time was not wasted bro! I think every minute was worth it looking for this guy. And don't worry, I got him for a steal of deal nowhere near what it's going for now :)
i give it a year or two before i randomly stumble upon another one of your vids and see you have a huge scar or your left hand from holding it downrange of your cutting, i literally cringed watching this. nice looking knife but spyderco/benchmade> all haha but i guess thats totally opinion.
@orangeninjaturtle Dude, don't jinx me! Haha, I think it was kind of hard working around the tripod for this take. At least I didn't cut toward myself, eh? Lol. Play with fire and you'll get burned, play with knives and you'll get cut! And yep, each to his own. I haven't had a chance to handle a Benchmade yet.
at 3.26 there is a good shot of the knife edge and it seems to have some deep , rough sharpening marks, is the blade sharpened badly or is it not as bad as looks on the video. the knife is a nice design,
@bogoff99 I checked it out, and I think it was the lighting and the angle at which I turned the knife. There are the vertical striations/grind lines that are created at the factory, but it's not badly done or anything. I like the design too, but I'd like it to have a bigger/longer flipper!
The hard drive took a shit. And you can do long term updates. How they held up, how easy they are to sharpen, maybe sharpening techniques. Updates after use and how the edge held up. Not torture tests. Most of them are overkill. Just real world use.
@fendrhead Very true, but that can only be done with my user knives. Most of what I have is just for fondling purposes :D I'm practical and careful even with my users, I don't think I could bring myself to torture-test them. I'm sure I'll find something to talk about. Besides, I'm sure (most) people with 200+ videos don't have that many knives.
@fendrhead Sorry to hear that. Is it just a crappy set up, or is it really fried? The cameras I use aren't actually mine, lol. They're my girlfriend's, but if I didn't have them I'd probably settle for the camera on my phone. Man, the things I'd do when I have more dough! I only got my 18th knife this past week. That's part of the reason why I'm not in a hurry to put out too many videos, I'm afraid to run out of knives to record, lol.
@GohawnFG No problem buddy. I don't think I'd want the larger version. It's not really needed in my opinion. i think its more a thing of bragging rights. I a lot of knives, all under 4 inches. more controllable and more useful. alway drop points never tanto's. And always razor sharp. hand sharpen and strop. i just got mine to hair popping by hand
@fendrhead I think it just depends on why you want it; user or collector. I agree that 9/10 times you won't need a blade longer than 4 in.--3 in. even. You can say that if you want a bigger folding knife, might as well get a fixed blade(hunting/bushcraft use perhaps). For EDC, I like the CRKT Drifter's size. On the flip side, I'm mainly a collector, so for that I lean toward big knives like the Manix C95 :D I'd probably never carry a knife that big. All personal preference :)
@fendrhead Right you are! I remember finding info about this a while back as well and couldn't locate it on their site. Perhaps they found some in their inventory? That's good to know, thanks for the heads up!
@shaokem Hmm, that's very true! I've never thought of doing that. But then again, I can be a pretty anal collector, so I might have to get TWO of them to bring myself to use one. Thanks for the tip!
@shaokem Holy crap, that is WAY too much. That's about how much you need to pick up the black bladed, S125V steel version of the HB02 I mentioned in the video. And I only have one knife that has cost me that much. Not planning on spending that much for a knife until I get a Sebenza, most likely!
@GohawnFG Same here... If I had that sort of cash I may end up with a Sebenza. which is only 85 dollars more than the Fantoni HB 01. A reason the Fantoni cost so much is the currency exchange rate.
@shaokem Aw, is that why? That really sucks. I really love the design of this knife, but you're right, if I had that kind of money saved up I'd sooner get a Seb.
@GohawnFG It's one of the reasons. Beretta brought the knife to the states, being they are an Italian company. The large folder cost about 120.00 brand new I believe.
damn dude, that's clean! i had no idea Beretta made knives. very cool. i got to do an unboxing vid myself. good looking knife bud. thanks for sharing.
@INFIDELxSTRONG Yeah dude, Beretta actually has a lot of more "traditional" gentleman folders, and fewer tactical stuff. It's a lesser known brand for knives, better known for their guns I guess. I love unboxings man, will definitely keep an eye out for yours. Thanks for watching!
@TheCanadianKnifeGuru Yeah, I wish I could bring myself to use it! Hope I can find another one down the road so I can make one a user. Thanks for watching!
I thought is was gonna be a benchmade model 42 or something. But nice knife overall.
