  • when cooking in the back country you are either a chef or a big fan of mac and cheese. I am a chef though even though i dont know how to cook much thats what this is for.

  • I once cooked trout parmasian on the Poudre river and had campers from 1/2 mile away asking what I was cooking, and if I had any more of it. Comfort food is the best when camping. One time I cooked chicken cheese eggrolls served with salsa, and people wouldnt go back to town afterwards. We need to have a camp cook off sometime.

  • looks like doggy doo....

  • This looks pretty cool, but I have an issue with weight and space. There are alot of simpler and lighter deserts that can be made on the trail than this. I can't imagine hiking across Isle Royale or on the App. trail with all that stuff in you pack. I'm sure it tastes great but it just doesn't seem realistic on a multi-day trip.

  • @dirk275 I'd have to agree. There's a lot of ingredients and added equipments which only adds weight. Of course, you COULD hunt for food, though many hikers either lack the skill or the heart to go through with it. Best solution still for me; MRE's!! Sure the desserts suck, but if I wanted a decent dessert I'd very likely would not be in the field lol. I'd have to say that the so-called Alaskan 'Eskimo Ice Cream is pure awesomeness!'Not a big fan of the whale blubber though...

  • She uses booz in her dishes. beauty.

  • nothing like teflon in your food, nice job scratching your knife on the bottom of the pan when stiring at the begining

  • Wow, sweet cake and hot coffee is a perfect match on trail. Thanks for a good recipe. I'll try this!

  • Cooking with a multi-tool, that's my kinda woman!

  • Sounds great!

  • id rather stick with my boil in the bag curry or freeze dryed hot pot then have to go through all that, dose look nice tho and a nice treat on the mountian

  • 5 star for finger licking yeah!

  • nah, rather have some kebabs...simple flat bread with some wild salads.

what's the point of going out into the wilderness and taking a factory made food with you

  • Variety is the spice of life ;)

  • true, true ..

  • Yes! I actually did this sort of this with PBR. I had complete pancake mix though, it worked pretty good and was really cheap haha. This is awesome!

  • 5 stars for the finger licking
