Many consider the impossible bullet trick cheating because it exploits a bug in the game's collisions system. May I remind these people that the Impossible Pogo Trick exploits a similar bug in the motion system, yet because it was officially recognised, it is viewed as a feature. No doubt, if TUIT had been made, the impossible bullet trick would have become official and there would be no need of this debate.

@DdlyHeadshot Nevertheless, a feature (even an easter-egg-like one) wouldn't allow you to skip about 90% of a level. So I definitely do consider this cheating. A "real" speed run is IMHO playing a game as it is supposed to be played, as quickly as possible. This is not a speed run, this is a glitch run, as steve122288 said.

It raises up a serious ethical question... Speedruns with cheats "don't count" - it's worthless. But if you don't use any official cheat, all only "dirty tricks" exploiting some bugs in the real game, nothing external used - is it still legitimate as a speedrun?

Usually one would say it's ok, but here it's a serious raping and mocking the game...

Saying that exploiting all these bugs (the "impossible bullet" bug and the clipping bugs) is not cheating is simply rules-lawyering in my opinion. This is obviously not how the game was intended to be played, and as someone else said you could just as well have used the jump cheat. Kinda makes this speedrun a lot less interesting than it could have been.

You can't say there was no cheating when it's so obvious that there was. :) You're exploiting bugs whenever you can. It's still an impressive time, and I know you can compete with others exploiting, but it's obviously not fair to compete against records won fair, according to the game's rules.

It's a bit like stealing money from the bank in Monopoly when nobody is watching and saying it's not cheating because everyone can do it, or that you didn't use an external cheating tool.

I could never get the Bloogton Tower trick to work. When I Impossible Bullet up and look down so as to wind up standing on the slime, it always sends me flying out the right edge of the level. At this point I "win" the level, but I don't have the passcard.
